Well, I feel foolish.
I had a really nice build going, then took the Ares/Poseidon duo boon at Charon's shop pre-Champions and found I didn't like it much
but I couldn't reset the chamber and pick something else, the game said I had to continue
so I tried to Ctrl+Shift+Esc and end the process, thinking it would let me open up at my last quicksave when I entered the shop
instead, it deleted my entire run as if I'd pressed Give Up and sent me back to Skelly with nothing.
Serves me right for trying to game the system, I suppose, but I still feel regret D:

I always have trouble with alecto, too many moving parts
Always stay pretty close to her. Her attacks are literally all just weaker versions of what Meg does except for the bladerifts, and those are very telegraphed.
Direct her to throw her bladerifts somewhere into open space when you see the startup.
That way, they won't just bounce against an obstacle and come back right away.
When you see that circle appear under you, just Dash-Strike into her, then back again when the next one appears.
That attack is just free damage for you.
It's only when she's enraged in her last phase that the circles are too fast for that, so you just run for a moment and kite her into traps or just dash away safely, then attack her when she stops.

That comes from the actual Orphic Dionysus myths, wherein 'Zagreus' is an aspect of Dionysus. Dionysus is a complicated god with complicated origins and a myriad of interpretations. Within the game of Hades, it's Dio and Zag seeing what they can trick Orpheus into believing. Or alternatively, trying to get his facade to crack.

Flood flare makes it easier to get mirage shot. Passion flare does the most damage consistently after trippy flare was nerfed. Trippy flare needs extra stones because you use stygian soul.

Hello!!! I've been trying to reach the epilogue of the game, and for that I need to get the favor of six olympian gods right? I'm only missing poseidon's favor. The wiki says that for getting the favor it's necessary to fishing up a minimum of 18 fish, and having caught at least 1 fish for that run prior to encountering Poseidon, i've already done that and i can't get the favor. Do I need to maximice the level of poseidon's keepsake to get the favor?

what order do you all think is a good one to start maxing aspects?
I did Hera first, because it had such a big impact on gameplay, now deciding between Achilles spear, Demeter Fists, Beowulf shield, and Eris rail... mostly so I can progress through the heats with each weapon to upg other stuff
for sword, i'm just using arthur which probably will not have a huge benefit from upgrades

those you can grind quickly to easily get enough blood to unlock and level everything up pretty quickly

A lot of what Zag does leads to things getting worse before they get better. He also causes quite a few people a substantial amount of distress. Zag and those involved eventually work things through, but the game tends to be somewhat realistic about all those relationships, which is awesome.

There's a permanent save back in the House of Hades, that's before your run.
And there's a temp save mid-run.
So the mid-run save from your run was still there, but when you quit the game like that it was similar to selecting "Give Up" and the game loaded the permanent save next time.

Perhaps you selected "Give Up" by accident.
Either way, you'll know how to recover your save if it happens again. 
If it happens more often that you "Quit" but it sets you back to the House of Hades like that, you can report that in-game with F10 and/or ask for help with it in #h1-tech-support.

You can use your dash strike to push them into a better position before you bull rush, but it is difficult
