kill the bull first, learn attack patterns, use the pillars to avoid taking damage, make sure bull is dead before you get theseus to his second phase, when you see a pink crosshair on you that means that theseus is gonna throw his spear at you, after he throws his spear he will turn around which means you can attack him, when he is in his second phase you should spend more time dodging the things he summons

You build Beowulf pretty much the same way you build Hera.
Passion Flare with Mirage Shot and/or Snow Burst.
Just that Mirage Shot has higher priority on Beowulf because it's bugged and does 100% damage instead of 30% if your Cast is a Flare.
You can also take Flood Shot and look for the same things for an easier route to Mirage Shot and even larger AOE, but the base damage and pom scaling of Flood Shot isn't as good as Passion Flare.

Trippy Flare with Stygian Soul for the highest base damage is also an option, but you'll be relying on getting +1 ammo from Master Chaos or from Wells of Charon.

All three of those builds are meta. Passion Flare is the tried-and-true since release, Trippy Flare was always there, too, and Flood Flare is a little more recent than those two but also very common.
The #1 build in Early Access, though, was Charged Flight + Heartbreak Flourish + Zeus' Aid, which almost entirely ignores the Attack and Cast in favor of the Special.
Charged Flight did +400% base damage at the time instead of +200% now.
The build was totally broken then, and it was obviously nerfed a lot, but it's still actually very effective.
Zeus' Aid for Smoldering Air, of course.
Although getting the Call and Duo Boon wasn't necessary. It just made it even stronger.

By manipulating the RNG so that everything is exactly what you want, this includes room rewards, room layout, enemy type etc. You only need to do 4 Tartarus combat chambers, and one combat chamber in both Asphodel and Elysium, and with the insane builds you get, you can one-shot boss phases. The rest is just good movement in-between chambers, which is helped by the +3 dashes early on.
