You can get it from beating chambers (duh), but after you beat a boss once with a weapon, each time you beat that boss with that weapon afterwards will grant you more darkness

Very good protection method in the beginning of the game and it only costs 1 key to reset if you want to spread it elsewhere later

Not 9 Heat. If you got the rewards from 8 Heat, and you win at 12 Heat, you'll get the rewards from 9 Heat.

the lance and the shield have been my favorites so far.
i have particular difficulty dealing with those "mage" guys that throw the big purple balls that start subdividing etc, or are shot in sprays.

As for this, just in case, Dash Attack does get Attack Bonus, but not vice versa. Square and rectangle kind of deal.
If you have Deadly Strike, you can crit on Dash Attack. But if you have Hunter Dash (more attack on Dash Attack) you won't get the bonus on normal attack. Hope this makes sense.

But the terms "Strike" and "Flourish" describe that better in my opinion, as well as fitting better with the others
