@remote belfry for hidden spear, try to focus your build around the special (charged skewer from hammer is great) and use the spin as a side-tool for when you can afford it
the special has great range and hit surprisingly hard
and since it is piercing and have some kind of aoe, you can hit multiple targets at once

because it's run -> house -> interact with people -> run and so on
that little pause in the middle breaks up the gameplay in a way where it doesn't get overwhelming/frustrating
