Same here. I’ve only done EM3 once (ie: only fought once, happened to win), but Asterius seems like the better target to go after first, if only because Thesus just seems to cut off large portions of the arena. He never directly goes after you like Asterius does.

- boss darkness drops into half hp heals, combined with the fountain you get fully healed after each biome
- darkness troves into good heals
- darkness from wells and charon into heals, which are cheaper than regular healing items and can top you off as needed
- sunken treasure from poseidon into extra heals on top of what you already get
- chaos eclipse/ocean's bounty into great healers on top of being great resource grinding boons

@balmy ginkgo It's a bit of both. I swear to God(s) that I take more damage with the shield on certain perks, but I escaped Hades the first time around with it. Getting perks that do continuous damage, break armor with Bull Rush, or supercharge bullrush make it really good - it's also REALLY useful against ||Hades' laser spam.||

Shield is phenomenal. It's the spammiest weapon, but you can also get some distance as opposed to the fists. My fastest run is with shield, and so is my highest heat.

Also, Shield is also risky at times, especially if you've been cursed or Punished with stronger trap damage. The first few times, I REALLY hated Asphodel because I'd keep crashing into lava.

Actually, I now remember why my shield run was the fastest. I had like 40% dodge, which went up to 60+ when using call, and some form of deflect. So I could just run up to anything without getting hit.

The game has crashed twice now for unknown reasons. I don't know what's causing it but it sort of sucks because the second time it happened on the last boss lol, over half way through it.
