I still hope that after the main game is finished, they add in secret boss fights for each of the past supergiant games that you access with specific milestones and get silly little cosmetics from. Get the Kid's outfit for Zag if you beat his fight, the Transistor skin for Stygius if you beat Red, and turn your cast stones into Celestial Orbs if you beat Sandra. Don't even change their art style or anything, it would be some nice 4th wall humor. Zag could fight the kid and recognize that Zulf sounds kind of familiar, get freaked out that Red has a talking sword, and not understand Sandra at all.

Would be cool if each fight had some mechanics kind of similar to their games too. Kid vs Zag would be like a Thanatos brawl, Red would be weird time stoppy, and Sandra would be a mockup of the rites.

once you unlock em you just get a book added to your shelf, Zag doesn't recognize it and reads it, but falls asleep as soon as he starts and dreams the whole encounter

Well, we already have sandra's orb in zag's room, lying on the floor. and the narrator sounds almost exactly like the Voice from pyre. maybe a secret fight or two wouldnt be amiss

Are there plans to change the whole cast ability thing? it seems strange to me you have several weapons, with upgrades to choose from, but only one 'cast' , and there are less boons that affect them. it's alright, but i play with controller so it's a little trickier to aim, and you can't lodge it in an enemy so i miss out on the damage bonus

ares cast at least has a lot of damage potential to make up for that, but dio's cast just does damage once

@brisk trail you can hear an audio cue if you don't see it, I'm not sure of their encounter rate; pay hp to go in, exit to another encounter, and pre-requestites need to be met for the other ladies

You have to have hit certain triggers for the sisters to show up

1. They won't spawn from the very beginning, you need to have made 11 runs before they'll start showing up. After that, they're not rare but they're definitely not common.
2. You mentioned Heat, so I assume you mean Infernal Gates? ("Blood Gate" is an old name for what's now a Chaos gate) They're gates you can only unlock with a certain amount of Heat invested into the Pact of Punishment, and you have to do a Perfect Clear challenge (kill enemies without being hit) once inside, and you'll get an improved reward
3. Megaera's sisters aren't called in until Hades thinks she's not doing a good enough job. Meaning, it takes a few runs before they'll start to appear.

The game autosaves when you enter a room, and when you complete a room. You can only 'restart' a room if you haven't taken damage in it yet

If you've taken damage, then the "Quit" on the menu turns into "Give Up", and if you select that then it wipes the run and sends you back to the House as if you hadn't left yet

I started a new game today, and found that I really didn't enjoy playing from the very beginning again like I do in Transistor or Pyre. The bulk of the experience depends on the satisfaction of improving your own skill, but when I got through the majority of Elysium on my first attempt, I realized that I don't have much room to improve my skill without high heat and all the Mirror's utilities. The narrative pacing realllly depends on NOT already being good at the game, and I just wasn't having a good time.

I do hope there'll be some sort of New Game + mode when it's all finished, because I'd like to experience the complete story from the beginning again with some greater goal to strive for.

getting one of those three unlocks the chance to get splitting bolt

honestly prerequisites are just.... logical. ares won't upgrade your blade rifts until you have blade rifts to be improved

zeus won't make your lightning better if none of your attacks produce lightning

so on and so forth

in regards to duo boons, nah, they're not related to the "pick a side" gods encounters. you just need a prerequisite boon from each of the two gods for their duo boon to potentially show up afterward from either of them
