I'm real grateful for all the health decreases across the board. Some of those fights dragged on forever. God help you if you decide to invest any Heat in enemies have +50% health. Some fights (all the ones that got tagged with health nerfs) were grueling slogs.

the story as I understand it so far, what with this game not being, y'know, finished yet, is:
zag wants to get to the surface because he's sick of being stuck with his dad, everyone wants to help him cause his dad is a jerk
zag meets the gods and chaos and they have fun little dynamics, meg is just doing her job, etc.
night sequence happens, all that does is reiterate zag's desire to leave and hades being a jerk
as far as a plot goes that's like

I don't think this game needs camera control tbh, you're able to notice most ranged enemies before they start attacking when entering rooms or while fighting and even then there are already plenty of indications of incoming attacks for us

I find it really interesting how some keepsakes are like, encouraging you to avoid the one who gifts them to you. Like, Nyx, Cerberus, and Skelly, all give you items that help you survive. Charon gives you an item that encourages you to spend your money on the Charon's well, leaving you with less reason to go to the actual store.
My personal favorite, though, is Thanatos, who has a requisite of having taken damage to see him. His keepsake, meanwhile, teaches you to never take a hit.

Dont know if supergiant people read this chat but I think the change to Asterius in this patch is amazing. Before, i would just avoid rooms that had to elite skull on them in elysium. Now there is a meaningful benefit to fighting him and it gives continuity for when you fight him later

Is it just me, or is aiming with the adamant rail (specifically with the upgrade that gives you a single 80 base damage shot - probably just more noticeable because the penalty for missing a shot is much bigger with this) kind of wonky? I'm confused, actually, by a lot of the communication in the game. There seems to be this conceit that Zag can't talk to them and that people are basically sending Zag one-way messages, but then you can hand them Ambrosia somehow and they respond to how beat up you are and other conditions, so clearly they have some information about what's going on down there

there's some jars in the top right and left corners of the hydra arena that have healing items in them. that can help in a pinch. for survivability go for athena boons, her deflect abilities can really help prevent damage. aphrodite boons can help you reduce the amount of damage that enemies do to you. and artemis is a hit for getting excellent big damage

The law does not prohibit increasing the price close to a sale. It prohibits falsely comparing it to old prices that werent factual (it doesnt) or otherwise misleading the consumer into thinking he is getting a bargain when he isnt (Which they arent)

ok so what I think happened was the sale started today right? and today SGG was planning on releasing this last patch right? This patch today fixed up the last major update and they are moving on to the next one with a brake between. They probably already planned to up the price today now that they felt like the major update was cleaned up to their standards. Then the sale hit and either Epic didn't change it right away for cause they were already having price issues the messed it up. But i have faith in SGG that this wasn't done maliciously and was 100% a miscommunication.
It's price at $7 was a mistake from what I've seen looking at this chat throughout the day and that's backed up by there announcement at 6:30 about the sale and price change unless i missed something major.
I 100% get the annoyance here and wanting to point this out but you guys really haven't give SGG time to react yet and this is kind of turning into just a really nasty discussion.
