Well, I managed to get well into Elysium in a mirrorless run with Gilgamesh, though unfortunately didn't even get to face Asterius, heh.

I was doing it for the dialogue with Meg, but got Tisiphone... guess I've got to do more tries, heh.

there aren't any real ways to improve your odds while looking for certain hammers, however certain hammer upgrades do lock out others from showing up, the top pin in #h1-builds-and-combat can show you what hammers can and can't be combined with each other as well as the aspects some are incompatible with

32 you’ll notice it a little and then 40 it’ll be a bit worse and then 50+ you’d get hit harder but more casual players usually get up to 20 with all weaps and then maybe do one 32 heat run for the statue

A single 32 is the most you’ll need for completionism

but then you’ll want to get every weapon up from 0-20 for bounties

I don’t think the other weapons are that rough if you just settle on using one of their better aspects

There’s like a massive difference between using zeus shield vs trying to clear heat with chaos shield iykwim

About how much health should I aim to have by the time I reach Hades?

depends on how comfortable you feel with the fight, like i can manage with sub 100 hp on anyheat beowulf, but in general aiming for 200 to 250 is probably reasonable

In general it depends on how confident you are you can beat him as you are and how much of a benefit you expect to get from whatever you'd be getting instead of the health you'd be going for.

If you're already confident in winning you basically always just want to go for whatever will increase your damage output instead of more HP, otherwise you're probably better off going for more HP over anything besides a new boon or hammer, and even then if you're already comfortable with your boon setup and don't think what you'll get instead will give you a lot, it's maybe worth going for the HP if you don't have tons already.

Do you mean about duo boons or just good boon combinations here? For the former, once you unlock the codex you can check all the prerequisites for them. For the latter, it’s a mix of asking around here and actual practical experience. Most people don’t connect the dots on hyper sprint -> rush delivery on their own but that is a massive global damage boost from your 2 hermes boons for the run

If you’re interested in where to first use your titans blood, I a single level in nemesis sword, zeus shield and hera bow is enough to get their basic functionality which is pretty much S tier

like you can still have boons, just they cant be attack/special/cast or those respective abilities wont get the buff ex: i have a special boon and cast boon, however i dont on my attack my attack will still have the 100% damage boost in that instance

build wise, anything that has already has good flat damage on its own works great, rama and hestia being the main (and only?) stick outs to me

should also note that having chaos buffs doesnt override the shackle buff

and a boon that buffs dashstrikes like artemis dash doesnt disable the shackle buff for your dash strikes

I really liked the game at first but then stopped enjoying it and haven't played in months, what mods can help me?

• I truly hate the environmental damage
• I hate how progress with permanent upgrades is incredibly slow after early game but my health is still so low even though it's what I focused on
• getting hit 2-3 times before the first boss means I may not beat her and if, I can survive like 2 minutes tops in region 2, making the entire run pointless after getting hit 2-3 times and really making me stop enjoying the game altogether since it feels like grinding in an mmorpg but without getting anything for my time, especially since any kind of break will wipe out a large part of whatever progress at getting better I might have made

It’s all g if it’s not your type of game! God mode is helpful but a lot of people prefer not to use it (I didnt and just powered through like 100 runs till my first success). Working with different builds is really important, because different weapons and boon combos will give you new play styles that you might enjoy more. Also investing in darkness at the mirror will progressively level you up, so focus on those rooms if you want better stats faster

The chat for new players will also have a lot of suggestions for people starting out or still early in the game’s story

Idk if there's any mods removing environmental damage, but considering some of your concerns were grinding resources for the mirror, there's a mod to get more in game resources to max the mirror faster/immediately if you want

The getting hit 2-3 times and not being able to continue further after the first boss tho, apart from the death defiances and increased HP from the mirror, you should be able to pick up some centaur hearts before getting to the boss so 2-3 hits shouldn't be a big deal

Like I still get hit a good handful of times
