Engagement is very solid against wards if you can group enemies up since it can instakill even through wards and armor if there’s enough enemies

Arctic just cause freeze is very good for safety and it clears wards well

And rapture because of weak and the pull effect is very good for grouping enemies up, while doing decent damage if you have JPom due to the high scaling of Poms, though it does limit how you can use it a bit since it does pull enemies to the center

So you can get screwed a bit if you try to use it for corner camping

if youre a big h1 buff then staff will feel the most at home, if you like arthur sword or guanyu spear youll like axe a decent amount, then skull has colors of rail, coat is reminiscent of fists kinda, and torches/knives are kinda their own thing

mel/circe staff are the really strong staff aspects, medea skull is one of the strongest weapons in the game, and knives are a bit of a stickler anything works assuming you get trick knives

genuinely you will not feel a difference outside of your own comfort until you hit super high fear amounts which most players dont get to

and for builds you can kinda just put zeus and hera on everything and things will die

I'd say the biggest bit of advice I'd give to new players is to use your cast

It has almost no opportunity cost and is really useful defensively and even offensively sometimes

Generally your attack loop is gonna be special -> dash attack -> special -> dash attack

That's the fastest attack loop when berserk isn't active

So it's your best way of dealing with wards and staying mobile

Obviously Psychic whirlwind is VERY broken

But even without psychic the omega attack is very strong

You can kinda just stand in the middle of a room and be a blender and let stuff walk into you

Mirrored thrasher is the best hammer. If i could hand pick a build, id go for nova strike, fine line, ocean swell, weed killer, ripple effect, arctic ring or any cast + arctic gale and then try to get exceptional talent (apollo legendary).

Dual moonshot can work but momus doesnt have the increased base power from mel staff and cutting the range stinks

If you have no safety, heph is also good for security system or trusty shield.

thankfully 1.0 reworked the icd cap, it's still there but not as ass as before

Pan’s omega special fires many instances of blades/damage that each apply the special’s boon. In this case, firing 10 knives with Pan’s omega special means you are getting 10 individual hits of Poseidon’s special, and this adds up quickly. Because you are firing multiple instances of low damage projectiles, Poseidon is valuable on Pan because Poseidon benefits from fast multi-hits.

its just kinda a pain to get used to the pattern and it doesnt really have crazy high potential

but youll notice in #h2-victory-boasting a LOT of people doing high fear clears do it with mel staff

its powerful because it just works, doesnt really require a lot of hoops to jump through to get really good specials

my understanding is you get 1 hammer and bam youre doing absurd damage

What's a good testament build to clear 24 fear on the surface? So far, I'm running Grit 1, Wards 2, Menace 2, Return 2, Fangs 2, Scars 1, Debt 2, Forfeit, Time 2, and Hubris 2.

I feel like I need to change something, but idk what.
