Oh definitely, I just feel like they are a little less consistent than other builds, but that’s probably cause I have less practice with them

They can be, it depends a bit on your goals too. If you're speedrunning and looking for top times you'll likely want a strong build so you'l be resetting a lot, but that's the case with most weapons. But there are ways to influence what you get and try to get it faster; on Beowulf for instance, you avoid certain gods if possible and try to have 3 gods by the end of Tartarus so you improve your odds for Mirage shot once you see Artemis later in Asphodel. You also avoid opening up other Duo boons and just taking unnecessary stuff so you can keep pomming your cast. There's not much you can do about Hermes and well items tho, besides praying.
