you can quit by bringing up the menu and itll save if - you are in a room and have not yet taken damage, after you clear a room, or if youre in a shop/hub. basically if you see the "quit" button instead of "give up". giving up will return you to before the run happened, and so will force quitting the game (as is apparently standard on switch)

yeah there's basically two options, your zero heat option, and then every heat at or above your highest heat is the other pool of rewards.

Bruh... I just had an almost flawless 18 Heat attempt with Rama bow. Got six gods somehow, plus good hammers, smouldering air, heart rend. Went into EM4 with three DDs and 190 HP and got killed in phase 3.

Specifically I'm after ways to let me reliably get different boon choices for master chaos in early chambers. So if a run has an early chaos gate but not the boons I want, I want to restart and get the same gate with different boons.

The time has an effect only in certain chambers, if you're trying it in c1 it's because there's shades moving around which increment the rng. If you want to learn about rng manipulation probably best to ask in #routed-runs in speecord

As I said, the time only matters in certain chambers where shades move out of your control, chamber 1 is an example of that, so yes if you take longer to enter c2 it will affect the rng but it's not due to the time itself but instead to the position of the shades at that time. This is only for certain rooms so you can wait in c2 for as long as you want and it wouldnt increment rng because there are no shades. However, after the encounter is done, actions like breaking pots, rubble falling, reloading, casting, all increment the rng.

One can not get Hunting Blades (Artemis+Ares Duo, Cast Blade Rift tracks enemies) and Freezing Vortex (Cast Blade Rift is slower and smaller, but Freezes enemies) at the same time.
...But why though? There is nothing mutually exclusive about this effect (unlike, say, Crystal Clarity and Cold Embrace), and it does not seem like all that powerful of a combo of Duos (hell, Rifts pulling enemies in is stronger than Freezing Vortex). So why would having one of the two lock one out of the other Duo?
