If you pick up Zeus' Aid, then you add Smoldering Air and maybe Lightning Rod to that.

Deadly Strike + Passion Dash means you can just use Dash-Strikes and regular Attacks. Shield special sucks, so you don't wanna be forced into adding it into your rotation just to make Heart Rend work.

Optimally, you want builds that synergize with optimal DPS rotations, not builds that force you out of it.

Even if you get Heartbreak Flourish and Heart Rend, you'd have better DPS just ignoring your Special than using it to apply Weak... except maybe on bosses.

Your heat, you get the special rewards if you beat it once with no heat, then gems and stuff after that unless you increase the heat

If you have the upgrade you will get gemstones regardless of whether it's your first or subequent time.

Well, a thing you can do to bad duo/legendary boons on your fated list is to pick them up and then try to sell them, check every shop that you can sell boons.
Especially the double-pom or rare boons ones, they are good but outlive their usefulness in Styx. You can try to sell them and then try to buy the 1000 coin stuff from Charon.
