Hey, does anyone here knows how to play the guitar? I've been teaching myself to do it since the COVID situation and I have noticed one big problem when I'm playing. Don't want to go crazy with describing the problem and then finding out nobody is able to help me, so I will patiently wait for a reply 😄 Generally, it's about pull offs when changing chords/notes

Yo! So I've noticed one thing then, whenever I play, no matter if it's strumming chords or plucking single notes, whenever I lift my fingers off of a string to change the chord or go to another note, especially the bass ones (E, A, D), I get this after noise like I was doing a pull off. I've done a lot of Googling and I've been through most of the advice I found. "Lift the fingers don't pull" "Use the tips rather than other parts of fingers". But I still can hear it on some of the chords (especially the ones that don't have open bass notes). I was even lifting my fingers at like suuuuper slow speed and I still could hear the sound, it was quieter, true, but still there, as if the strings were gluing themselves to my fingers. I've also found info that muting with the strumming hand might help, but I might need some practice with that because for now I mute the first strum of the next chord instead of the moment of changing the chords.

I would love to hear your insight on how to get rid of this, because when I play fast it's kinda barely noticeable but when I try a slower song I usually get the sounds I really don't want to have due to those unwanted pull offs

ok to end the era of my graph problems. the problem was the scale; the y (rate of behavior) was too small as compared to the x (sessions) so excel got real mad -- x was 1-12 and y was 0.93-1.13 and that's just too big to put on a graph. so you delete the session line (since that isn't the data we're looking for) and then to make the data actually meaningful you add another line of data (fidelity) to the graph and now it's a graph that does what it's supposed to

so if u have graph problems this is what you do

I only realised that EV's dont exactly do any better than diesel cars. I wont pursue the battery manufacturing meme that everyone pursues. Yes it's true but the problem is EV's are only truly eco friendly when they are used in countries from the imperial core (US/Western EU) mostly because of how expensive they are so most people with an income well enough to get a damn EV that isnt a small city car are mostly only in those areas.

Another thing is that the pollution gets outsourced to the southern hemisphere, and "developing" asian countries. And that's just ugh. Also the coal used for electricity. The true future of transporation is public transport but that's unlikely to change so I might as well appreciate some good ol' diesel cars.

we used to put cotton in all the seams, then stick thick cloth tapes over them

so there'll be no draught

and you felt like those can really save you from monsters

now i can't sleep with light covers, they provide no feeling of safety

The Curse of the Dead Gods is quite good, great atmosphere, but slow gameplay and punishing when you make a mistake. Kept me entertained for around 20 hours. I heard Dreamscaper is good as well. Btw, if you'd like to continue this topic it would be the best to do it in #video-games
