That way I am not too concerned about losing data if my computer dies because I can just boot another computer and access the drive from the Internet.

I have another idea! Try opening it up and just cleaning it, though look up how to do it correctly. When i modded my laptop you wouldn't believe how dusty it was in there. Don't know how much it could affect something like the screen turning black but what's the worse that could happen. ||(if you do it correctly)||

hiya, we only allow direct uploads in #fan-works and #h1-victory-boasting because the content of those channels is focused on uploaded content. we disallow direct uploads across the rest of the server to cut down on immediate spam. as swan mentioned, you can upload elsewhere and link images here; image embeds are still allowed, and for things with, say, an obnoxious thumbnail, we can just individually remove the embedded image.
