like let me get this right, the greeks invade troy because they want to, achilles doesn't wanna fight because agamemnon is a ****, patroclus dies while the people of troy are defending against the siege, and so achilles goes wow, screw the people that were defending the city that we were invading, i'm gonna murder them and desecrate their corpses? why does he not go on a rampage and kill agamemnon and all of the people that forced them into fighting the pointless war?
is it not meant to completely soil the character and show that his reasons for not fighting didn't mean all that much to him, broken down by grief? surely he could still regret his actions, but a hero in this situation thinks they didn't go far enough, and they should've taken actions for the causes they believed in, rather than just purely protesting for them

i was wrong, you can actually explain all of achilles actions if pride is his main motivation
he didn't protest because he didn't think the war was just, even though he may have said that, he protested because fighting for a man who steals your prizes is not a prideful thing to do
he didn't kill hector because he thought that hector was at fault for patroclus' death, he killed hector because in terms of pride, the one who makes the final blow is the only one that matters (especially considering what a war focused character achilles is, he'd likely think this)
he didn't return hector's body back to priam because he had a change of heart, he returned the body back to priam because priam appealed to his sense of pride (got on his knees, etc.)

I've got a friend making a Hades-art-style fanart, and I'm trying to voice act a line for it.
Been messing around with it in Audacity. Lowered the pitch, added a bit of echo, but there's a certain effect to the Gods' voices in the game that I can't quite emulate or name.
It's sorta like a pre-echo, where some sounds (like "h" and "a") sound like they're echoing just before/as the character speaks it.

Like, most christians don't believe the earth is flat, though the bible references "the four corners of the earth". So it makes sense a lot of them say that that's either a metaphor, a translation error, or they say that the bible isn't perfect and was a sign from the times.
I feel like in order to believe in greek religion, you'd have to believe the earth is the only planet and that space doesn't exist, and the reason for the sky existing being basically a reflection of the ocean is all wrong

I was actually impressed with the creativity of coming up with more and more ridiculousness. so many times where I wondered how they would cope with the power creep considering where the game already starts out, but they did it. especially at that battle you mention 😛
