Hello! shadesmile I'm currently trying to loop some of the music from Hades for personal listening, as well as for adding into Smash Ultimate via mods, and was wondering if anyone knew how exactly the music in the game loops? I've never really heard the music stay in one state for long enough to notice while playing since I'm not ever standing in once place for very long, and the soundtrack release doesn't loop at all. I ripped the music files from my PC version, but they don't have obvious loop points, either. Maybe the man himself, @rain zinc, could assist me?

Hey everyone! I know I just got here, but I was wasn't quite sure if there was someone specific I should direct this query I have? Here it is:

I am writing a paper for my class, and I decided I wanted to pick Supergiant Games as the subject. I was wondering if the studio has Values, a Vision statement, and a Mission statement, and if so, what are they?

I figure since I was having some trouble finding it online, I should ask you guys directly. I am a Senior Game Art/Design student in university, and the paper is for my Principles of Management class where we would look into the Values, vision statements, and mission statements of companies we would hope to work for some day (not trying to push portfolio at ya, purely just research for the class for now).

I really like many of the team's policies and the culture from what I've been able to gather from interviews and other media online, not to mention I used Hades as art style as a guide for a few semesters of my art-learning. I hope you guys don't mind the question, and if anyone is able to answer it I'd be very grateful.

It’s not one of those things that’s written in stone like, “We will never make DLC!” It’s just not yet made sense for us to do since the Bastion one-off, which was something we experimented with at the time. Today, that would have been a patch.

I think a big part of it is that we’re so committed to the endings of our games and to paying off the player’s time if they get all the way to the end. We’ve put in all of our best ideas in the thing we’ve shipped and we’ve set out with a goal of making a complete experience. So to make DLC on something that, by our own definition, is complete, something about that has felt off. It’s like you’re contriving stuff. If it was so important, why wasn’t it there in the 1.0 version? That’s a very broad statement about it.

In the particular case of Hades, it’s also a game with a lot of intricately connected parts in a story and everything. It may sound straightforward to dump in new Boons, gods, or weapons, but it would have a massive impact across all aspects of the game.

Due to the nature of the Early Access development, from our perspective, we did a whole bunch of updates. It’s just only Early Access players who experience a game that way. We even had unique content in Early Access that we never intended to ship in the 1.0 version that was self-aware about the nature of Early Access.

We did that for three years. And we gave it everything we had and thankfully it got this amazing response. We weren’t eager to then go and start messing with it. It doesn’t rule anything out by any means. We really appreciate that there’s interest and that players want more. But also that there is so much understanding in our community as well. Folks point out that it isn’t our style and they’ll give us a break.

i came to fanboy about how much i love the supergiant games' games! >B)
from lore to storytelling to art to voice acting to music to gameplay, those games found a spot in my heart to reside in.
Darren's compositions are definitely in the top of my list for game-music and music in general, not matter how many hours i pump into hades, i get excited everytime i hear that crisp music 👌
having the songs progress with me as i progress through the stages, having the bass on its own after finishing an encounter or just listening to the songs on their own
and in transistor, being able to hear red's humming at will on top of the amazing tracks!!
truly inspiring and i can go on and on about every track i liked, how they're fun to listen to and play! 😩
if anyone of the supergiant bunch sees this, i'm so very grateful for you works!!

Hello guys, I saw on your twitter that Hades was 40% off and I wanted to buy it on the Switch but I keep getting an error (code 9001-1670) when I click to buy it. Also, the price reduction is not shown on the Nintendo eShop (directly from my Switch), I can only see it when I'm on my computer (and then can't buy it because I get the error. My understanding is there have been major delays in the shipment, though I don't know about any specifics. I've seen some people mentioning recently that they got the actual shipping notifications, so my guess is they're getting them out as quickly as they're able.

And i came back on steam only to see "few" hours of playing
In my mind they take so much place in comparison to other games i played much more, I'm always stunned to realise all these memories are on so few hours

I personally think SGG have gone through a consistent progression from Bastion through Hades. Hades from an objective standpoint is clearly their highest quality work. The fact that it went through an early access period is a testament to that. Of course quality =/= enjoyment so I get why some people would think differently.

I have a serious problem. Hades was too good. I don't know what to play next. I've played all the other supergiant games and I want something to fill the great void they have opened in my expectations. Inscryption is one of those spoiler-sensitive games that people recommend others get without looking up anything about them. I don't support this sort of blind consumerism, but I agree that it's best unspoiled.

We sent out an update in December to folks who ordered the Hades vinyl - the vinyl manufacturing chain is pretty snarled right now, so we've experienced a few delays in receiving them. We'd like to reopen our store after clearing out the remaining pre-orders. Our current Hades vinyl shipping estimate is this March, so our store will likely not return until after that time. Hades posters will still be available when we reopen it is past march. but they're still having don't chain problems, which i believe a lot of people are, there's nothing that can really be done about it.

It's definitely continued to be a complicated situation - our Hades vinyl shipments have mostly gone out, but we've continued to support shipping issues both domestically and internationally, as well as worked with Black Screen Records to get them their supply of vinyl to ship to their international customers. We have no real update, but I do feel comfortable saying that no original timeline of our store return is accurate (as is apparent) - unfortunately even with many places moving past "pandemic conditions," there have continued to be long lasting impacts from that period of time, as well as continued impacts from other world events.

Free/Cheap DLC for Hades that adds the Fang Repeater as a gun variant, the Transistor as a sword variant and the ball from Pyre as a shield variant.
