I think this goes here. I had a fun discussion with my friend and I think its a cool idea. instead of say a hades 3, how about a little darker and new viewpoint of the fun Greek world SGG has made of fallowing Hepheustous clime back up Olympus and make the gods respect him. making it the opposite of hades 1 and 2 where we are going against the gods instead if with/for . making it a rouge lite would be harder to come up with a reason why we come back, so an RPG would be cool for SGG to go back to. thanks for reading sorry there's not more I'm bad at getting ideas written down

Back in the day I loved playing Hades on my switch and I beat it many times. About a year ago I got a PC and have been enjoying it but I recently learned that they made a Hades 2 is it still as good as the first game and should I get it on my PC or switch

Neither one is better than the other, they are both incredible games with incredible soundtracks. H2 has a bit of a darker tone, but it still has all that charm the first had.

H2 has roughly twice as much as H1 has... kinda? It's hard to fully say cause it isn't fully finished yet

It's inspiring to me that apparently the game was built directly on SDL using Granny 2 for animations and, from the looks, there is a custom made editor as well, which is a pretty amazing feat nowdays

Henlo, frens! Like many of you, I fell in love with Supergiant through Hades. Honestly, I bought Hades on the strength of seeing someone streaming the game and watching them pet Cerberus a.k.a Best Boi. That was literally all it took for me to buy the game.

Then came the amazing game play, the voice acting, Darren Korb's music, Jen Zee's artwork, and I was hooked! I still haven't gotten the "true" ending yet, so no spoilers please! I also haven't touched Hades 2 yet, as I think I want to wait until the fully developed game comes out. Supergiant clearly makes their games with an impressive amount of love and care. Can't wait for the full release of Hades 2!

I have tight budget and heard the game it's pretty unfinished -which makes sense, but I bought Hades 1 in EA and had a ton of fun anyways

I’d say it’s in a very playable state currently. The story isn’t finished, but there’s still plenty to do. I put in 90 hours and did most everything it currently has to offer.

Hades 1 is my favourite game of all time. I could go on and on about all the reasons why, but I think the one that is the least likely to have been said already is this: it's the only game I've ever played that was the exact right amount of stimulation for my brain. No need for a youtube video playing in the background like when I play most other games (minecraft, pokemon, slime rancher, even elden ring). Just gets to be me and the game, and that's a rare treat for me.

It's owned by CD Projekt Red (The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077). The big competitive edge of GOG is that every game there is DRM-free, yours to keep, with no hooks or anything to your game. Once you buy a game on GOG, you own it. They also go through great efforts to preserve older PC games from the 80s, 90s, and 00s in their most proper form.

The big issue behind GOG, however, is its consumer-friendliness has pushed away publishers who want to be less consumer-friendly to customers.

So its game libraries are notably smaller.

I think they have a 5% marketshare in the PC storefront space right now, but those numbers are probably outdated.

The i played Hades, still heven't beaten the last boss, i recently started Pyre, and again, the story is amazing, still trying to get all of my friends outta there! and the most recent and my favourite is Transistor. such a good game with an incredible story. the world, although little, is so interesting.

I came across Transistor on Epic Games Giveaway and friend have recommended me Hades. After 100% completing it, I have invested time in Hades 2 as well and playing that on a Handheld.
What made me join the server actually was the game code. I was browing game files and found out that Hades is written in lua. (wtf, it is like a 31 year programming language with a 1.0 version released in 2024 based on C). Just seeing if I can find some people I can connect with who share my love of roguelike gaming and coding.

Hello, I appologize if this is not the place to ask this question, but I tried to use the contact form and never got a reply. I am trying to find officially licensed merchandise for Hades, and I came across this website: https://hadesmerch.store/ While it says "Official Hades Merch Store", a lot of the merchandise looks... less than reputable, including easily mass-produced templated items, and crossovers with other licensed properties that don't seem to pass the smell test, such as a "Hades Kid Ikarus Puzzle". The FAQ section listing "Is Hades Store Reputable?" doesn't actually list anything about Supergiant Games. Am I correct in assuming this is a bootleg store?

If that is the case, and I'm going to assume it is, my next question involves official merch. Does Supergiant Games have any official merch partners/stores? If so, can you point me in their direction? I loathe bootleg and unofficial things that deprive creators of their royalties. Hey, I'm new, but I have been playing Hades a lot. Started a save file a year ago on my brother's system and got to the Elysium Champs. Finally picked up the game where I left off while being sick last week and it just kept getting better every day I played it. May be in my top 5 all time. Found the reddit and that there was a Discord and that community feedback was heavily relied on during development/preview release. I thought that was really cool and just wanted to give props for such a great game. I think taking your time and getting feedback to make a super polished product is well worth it and this game seems to be evidence that that is correct. I hope you keep doing that. Hades felt super polished. All the systems, aesthetics (great voice-acting too, btw), and progression all reinforce each other as you play and just keep me addicted.

Ive been playing much hades and ive noticed that on the boon selection screen, melinoe's legs are switched and her left leg has the metal looking stuff on it instead of her right leg

I listen to all commands by Supergiant so I must tell all on how I got into them /j. Idk how active I'll be but when I was younger I got into them by happening upon Bastion. Idk how or why, probably my brother, who knows. But I never really paid any attention to game developers or their names at the time. Then I saw Hades randomly recommended for me on Steam and was immediately enamored by the art, SFX, and music. Once I saw it was a game on Greek mythology I was damn near foaming at the mouth. I got it and I think I sunk about 100 hours into it within a month or so, beat the game but never go to the prologue, due to my own self inflected burn out but man was it worth it. I plan on revisiting and getting that real endning on my own merits, although I do know what happened. And as for Hades II, to avoid spoilers I have made it to the other final boss of the other area, and man does he leave me heated, pun intended. But a fun boss fight nonetheless. Awesome game.
