Essentially, skull of ravaal, and I had a boon that made it use the omega cast without holding the button down and uses more Magick. I also had Apollo, so the explosions were huge!

Think this is the strongest build I've ever made. Started out with the white antler and took the black robe(60 hp shielding) when Arachne offered, then Nem's 25% damage to Scilla, then the lion tooth/claw from Herc for the fight with Cerbi. Also took the hammer a few times to upgrade my power shot and my attack. All in all I'm quite proud!

I have been playing this weapon for way too long, struggling to get it to beat 50F. Like I'm pretty sure I beat torches, staff, and skulls underworld + surface in half the amount of time I've been trying to push coat 😭 Well one more 50F on the surface and I can say I've done this for every weapon. Idek what I can use to beat that since cast builds are not as good, worse case scenario we run Heph

Also in Oceanus Demeter offered all three duos once at once (including Natural Selection but I later turned that down in Fields for Geyser Spout bc what even is that duo) and had to reroll bc Denial

Also Toula DD actually good now? I doubt it's worth trading for Frinos at higher fear bc of being able to skip Twilight Curse but she def is viable now (just pls make her spawn in the middle of the room consistently 🙏 ). But I did get pretty lucky with dd refills (Echo and Tartarus Pool) + Chaos revival (broken)

nice and chunky freezer burn pan build. i'm pretty sure extended family hits freezer burn multiplicatively which is kinda neat. great supporting damage w success rate ripple effect and scalding vapor, lots of free damage without really having to go out of the way. panacea godsent moon water is disgustingly good and would be my singular reason for why beating 32 fear is easier than 32 heat. my attempt before got explosive intent from icarus but died to eris since too little health heading into the fight and no gyros in shop :(

the heph support damage became the carry against typhon. really fast room clear but every boss fight besides poly was clunky and slow, typhon alone being almost 3 mins lmao. outstanding pom luck, icarus + summit triple pom, then some random poms along the way + proper upbringing cut the heph special cd from 14 to 2 seconds. took heph legendary over grand caldera at final shop because orange boon :neuron_activation:, definitely a misplay. 562 max hp + self healing + some brave face triggers got the job done on defense

selene is a cool aspect, id been struggling before with actually get the offense online without just bleeding out in thessaly. Even on this one prom/heracles got me down to 20 health, and i "only" had about 150 ish for the summit before getting a heal at the final shop. room clear was weirdly scary (prob bc im impatient and facetank too much) but boss fights (besides a messy prom) were blazing fast. pictured is the most powerful synergy in the game, hera legendary giving ares rallying cry, thus tricking the game into thinking ares is in the god pool and unlocking selene coat's godsent hex.

the actual build was just stacking a bunch of magick spend boons (mostly fine line and controlled burn, with ocean swell and ripple effect pitching in at the very end) to charge the hex nice and fast, taking moon beam in thessaly after (greedily) filling the 4 god pool immediately in ephyra with poseidon and hestia to have eventual access to their magick spend boons, and apollo for support. Hera keepsake start for born gain + traces of spirit meant magick never mattered, only risk was not charging the o special safely.

im also working on it, my best is only about 8 something but am getting there too. what may help you is turning on frenzy 2 bc it makes enemies spawn in faster. but there is a learning curve to that obviously. people also usually take vow of shadow bc it makes the shadow-spiller miniboss in erebus faster since it doesn't spawn the root guys around the room that you also have to kill

and finally what slows me up a lot is mourning fields. there are patterns and optimized ways to run each room, https://zacharywebsites.wixstudio.com/hades2cg/fields-of-mourning-1/spawn-demo this shows them so you can get a start on recognizing what room you're in and how to check for boons/bough the fastest

WAR IS OVER - I've beaten 50F Rivals4 Frenzy Max Grit/Hordes/Wards/Time Surface & Underworld on every weapon! I'll prob try speedrunning next (hoping for sub 8 on every weapon both routes low fear)

I lowkey cheated with the coat here tho: I was struggling with this weapon for so long and saw Heph offered 2nd chamber after Travel Deal. I went for it and yeah, Heph is finally worth it. I would say he is easily the god with the most potential damage output in the game now. However, people who call him OP vastly underestimate the amount of luck and planning a build like this takes. But this is what it should be, as that amount of luck and planning would be needed just to make him viable before this patch

Keepsake order was: Phial --> Ember (Hestia for Chain Reaction) --> Fan (Hera for Hitch on Olympus and Family Favorite in Summit Mini Boss) --> Knuckle Bones

Here's all the lucky things that happened:

• Sea Star the GOAT proc'd like a million times on HP and poms (including most of the Icarus Delivery Poms) = Likely Would Not Have Made it to 1 sec cooldown without it so highly recommend for Seismic Servo builds (especially on surface where poms are scarce)
• Rude Awakening in Ephyra Shop, Seismic Servo in Thesally (was forced to swap for Ares gain at endshop so good thing I got it then), and Chain Reaction in Olympus
• Black Night Banishment hit Grit = I believe this is the best possible vow to hit at high fear (minus time at max fear)
• Athena appeared naturally and offered Epic Defensive Posture, which does indeed work w/ Seismic Servo (7 Sec Cooldown)

So the lesson? If you ever have to play a weapon but hate actually playing it . . . just take Heph 🤭

51 Fear R4 F2 Sc3 Surface Momus with Unseen/Excellence/Eternity/Strength. No rerolls. Took about 5 attempts with this build.

Night Bloom carried this run really well, I played the fights against Prometheus and Typhon quite badly (especially final phase Typhon), but I am happy to provide a proof of concept for Unseen + Excellence at 50f Surface.

I think 62 will probably be the end of the line for Excellence, as I will give up the rare chance and just high roll good epics for the run and use the grasp for most likely Origination since I start Demeter. But...yeah, it works!

I think next time I will try harder to get Freeze on attack or special, or static shock, since nothing seems to stagger.

Timer means that runners aiming for 32+ want runs to be 20 minutes or less (Timer 3) or 24 minutes or less (Timer 2). Also, builds have been optimizing for a long time. There are people here to offer advice on every possibility to single out the few strongest setups, either for High Fear, or for speedrunning itself.

I used to clear runs at a similar pace to you, and through Vow of Time, I’ve dropped my 32-40 fear runs to sub 20.

So… suffice it to say, today is my 22nd birthday, and I was doing an Anubis run. I accidentally took Hera’s keepsake instead of Poseidon’s, I thought, well, time to restart and then I decided to at least try.

Next god(dess) was Hestia, I got her cast, and it was great. Cool. Chaos was a pain, but helped. Time skip to the end of Erebus, I get a common flash fry. I use Aromatic Phial, 50/50, either Hereditary Bane or Flash Fry. I got flash fry, clearly.

The absurdity of this cannot be understated. Omega attack, cast, entire encounter wiped in 3-7 seconds the vast majority of the time, through a chain reaction of flash fry explosions.

Super fun, highly recommend.

Now for the part of the run that has me giddy. The finishing time was 24:33:31. Nothing to brag about, right? Well yes, but actually no.

See if you take 24, subtract 33, then add 31, you get 22. I can’t think of a better first win for another year alive (for myself).

big ares run for 32f VoR 4 underworld artemis clear. used gold gold gold from echo to duplicate a boon bag in the shop, which both coincidentally (or not idk) had ares boons. feels like ares is a pseudo selene hex the way you gotta invest heavily in getting a bunch of his boons, probably my easiest pick for a run with a one-god godpool. heinous affront + visceral impact makes the whole plasma build more consistent, to be fair. In any case, pretty happy that i was able to get this clear without just crutching on a disgusting hammer like sweeping ambush or trick knives, although getting a billion ares boons/forcing zeus for heinous affront might be a similar level of luck and crutching

ares is just weird to me, if he isn't the focal point of the run or consistently applying wounds, he feels pretty clunky in supporting other gods in the pool, nor do his duos usually support his partner's gimmick

I have now 100% completed the final patch before 1.0's launch. All Decos, all music, all affinity, all romance scenes (Nem, Icarus, Moros, and Eris), fully upgraded all Keepsakes, fully upgraded all aspects, completed Rivals 4 below and above with 32 Fear, cleared all 48 Testaments, cleared all Chaos Trials, got all 3 statues, got all incantations, cleared every Minor Prophecy (even going back to get all the requirements that were added after any Minor Prophecy was updated), upgraded all the Familiars, and completed over 300 nights in total.

Everybody seems to love getting 62s with Staff so I figured I'd join the club. Missed Air Quality to push the build over the edge but strong play during p1 and p2 of Chronos helped secure the W. Fun run to end my stream.

My first victory. My gameplay was centered around the cast with it dealing fire damage, boosted when enemies were frozen, plus it made more damage while i was in it and granted me magic when it ended, and i could cast it faster. ABSOLUTE GAMING

i got insanely lucky with a lvl 6 common heph attack with no rolls, got poseidon and dem in ephyra to set up seismic servo and cryo pounder (i got cryo pounder shortly thereafter), the luck continued in thessaly and olympus where i got a heroic cardio gain and a lvl 5 blinding rush and after defeating talos i got offered 3 duo boons (the first screenshot, i chose chain reaction), and on the shop before the summit i got offered seismic servo again along with the heph legendary and i chose servo. tbh i was just dps racing typhon due to how broken my build was, i almost died during the baby mel phase but i clutched up for my easiest and fastest 32 fear surface ive ever played

Big Ares + heinous affront with the success rate cherry on top, poseidon on special with shimmering rockets was great for room clear as well. Buried treasure healing in final shop saved me

apollo legendary doesn't hit the eos o specials and it's still pretty good. tanked 40 seconds of timer against prom and heracles because the build was slow + im not good enough + moon water has my back. eos owns typhon since he just sits there, which allows the daybreakers to wander around in his hitbox and deal damage while i could focus more on dodging. on the other hand, prom and heracles jump around everywhere, making it hard for the daybreakers to consistently land damage.

first screenshot is my first ever win vs kronos yesterday, iirc took about 16 hours of playtime and like 5 previous fights, very fulfilling accomplishment

second screenshot is the run after, trying out fear and the whole testament thing and i decided to see if casts were strong. ended up winning for the second time in a row, 3 minutes faster with like a quarter of the damage taken lol. thinking casts might be strong

oh my god 50 fear medea first try. but it's medea. didnt get heinous affront which is tragic but i got lots of gold which made maxed vow of debt absolutely useless. blood spree saved me during chronos. my 50 fear setup is basically my 32 fear setup with max hubris, frenzy, revenant, forfeit, denial, debt and hordes 1. and yes i did have chronos p3 on

you don't NEED to understand what everything does for the most part, you can track what did damage via the top 5 list and then see what the core boons are, understand from there
