Wow. Getting the final statue is massively easier in this game than it was in H1. I cleared 32 fear on my second try and it was a curbstomp in my favor. I don't remember how many times it took me to do the hugh heat run in H1 but it was definitely more than twice and I just barely managed it.

I was expecting it to be way harder based on having more trouble with bosses overall in this game. I might be inagining things but I feel like it is way easier to get an OP build in H2

Possibly, but a bigger part was I think the ridiculous 250% damage boost from Aphrodite. Love hurts. That plus a couple of omega charge speed upgrades and a flat damage boost from a hammer meant bosses just ate facefulls of knives at point blank and died in seconds

There is a lot more, you find out you need to keep beating him and then find a whole new path and beat a different boss and that several times... the game is meant to be repeated, and for you to add difficulty called "fear" to pump up your levels on your aspects to make them stronger as you make the game harder with fear.

Haelian plays on controller, and obv has no issues either
there will be subtle differences between input methods, e.g. controller has much more precise movement due to it being analog
but you lose some things like aiming a ranged cast under yourself

i play controller and have no idea how mouse and keyboard would work. Aiming is fine, but I don't like that it stops your movement to aim and it's a little jarring

in other games i def notice that my best boss attempts are usually followed by my worst. not necessarily on my first try, most of the time theyre just random attempts out of hundreds on some nightmare difficulty. my guess is it partially has to do with dropping all the adrenaline that a first or good attempt gives you so youre not in overdrive the same way in the next attempt
