but yeah tldr theres 2 main ways i see scylla being taken, either you go straight down to the bottom right tentacle to get scylla stuck then work your way around the right side or you do what i did where running around roxy to get scylla stuck then taking the free space from killing tentacles on the right side then deciding if you wanna rush roxy or clear more space

Since any global buff is still a global buff

and if it really is an ass weapon that just goes to compliment my skills as a player for finding winning with it so easy

But the ceiling is definitely not very high compared to blades and skull for example, I just find coat safer and easier to use

im not really using anything about it except the 2 homing missile attacks they feel so broken
they're high range, spammable, and homing you dont even have to aim them properly they follow enemies

they do absurd amounts of dmg with the poseidon special boon

Thats interesting and surprising. The missiles are mainly supplementary for me. To add special effects that boost attack like ares, hephaestus, etc. With just maneuvering and punching, I get through both bosses fairly easily

It melts health really well if you invest in the attack and maneuver well

you dont even have to aim it, the missiles are homing

and its free to cast and cooldown is short and it does ABSURD damage with the right boons like 600-800 dmg per cast

Also one thing to not like about coat is how the aspects are kinda meh, Mel is super basic, Nyx is great, Selene is unique but boring and weak, Shiva is sluggish but strong

Skull and Axe and Flames for example have much more variability in playstyle between each aspect

region 2 time piece is usually best for when you’re running fear, but other options are viable depending on what you’re doing and whether it’s underworld or surface. I sometimes run hammer region 2 if I really want a specific hammer and feel like gambling for it and am not hurting for gold

If you’re not comfortable yet running wantler region 4 then fang, tooth or pin is preferrable

But wantler is the absolute region 4 meta if you can survive it

Stuff can’t hurt you if it dies faster

Chaos in H2 can be pretty game breaking if you’re lucky

Since a chaos room is 4 seconds max while an encounter is always well over that

It’s possible you get screwed on the curses but at worst you take the “least bad” one

On high fear it’s much more of a debate but at low-mid fear it’s basically a non-issue

I’ll happily take a 20% speed buff in exchange for clearing 3 encounters in under a time I would have already cleared them in anyways

It’s just that the main way most people play skull is dashing around the room as Mach speed with special so you’re bound to pick up all your skulls at some point even unintentionally

Fetching array can be fun but it just allows you to play the skull a little differently without really making it any stronger

It’s a “safe” upgrade but not anything that’s really gonna save you time or increase your damage unless you prefer to play skull not like skull

I mean its entirely up to personal taste. Some people really love Thanatos axe. Some people also really like Hel skull or Supay flames. It’s all just however you enjoy playing the game

If you want a “fun weapon” that’s still very good try like Eos/Moros flames, Nyx coat or Morrigan blades

Those are all very strong weapons that also are quite fun to play since their strengths are pretty fun
