I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of Zeus. I try to play Scorch. My Blitz deals more damage. I try to play Poseidon. My Blitz deals more damage. I try to play Blast. My Blitz deals more damage. I want to play Demeter. Her best team has Zeus. I want to play Ares, Hera. They both want Zeus.

He grabs me by the throat. I Pom for him. I reroll for him. I give him the Cloud Bangle. He isn't satisfied. I pick Extended Family. "I don't need this much Damage %" He tells me. "Give me more Poms." He grabs Echo and forces her to Pom Pom Pom. "You just need to pop Blitz more. I can deal more damage with King's Ransom."

I can't pick King's Ransom, I have no Hera core Boon. He grabs my Fate Dice. It declines. "Guess this is the end." He grabs his lightning. He says "It's over, young lady." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but high flat damage curse application. What a cruel world.

It really needs Glamour Gain to pop off, and even then, the thing about it is that you then kinda want to fish for Freezer Burn since that'll give you a way to cash out on the fact that your stacks no longer decay

I tried his boons but don't know how to use... Like it's strange that do raw damage like the one from attack or Omega idk if 120% more damage with omega (close) with Aphrodite is better than the 200 idk DMG that Zeus deals

Ok so his attack and special boons inflict enemies with a cloud, and when that enemy takes 120 damage, they take the blitz damage from the cloud

It depends on the weapon, but Zeus is basically never a bad choice

Aphro is not very good on blades for most builds

i've played with it a bunch, there are certain enemy combinations which feel like youre destined to take damage

without pain/scars its fine i guess, but i still think fangs2 is one of the harder ones to enable

I do really enjoy plasma attack speed on some weapons and big numbers with grievous blow and mutual destruction is funny

The big point of ares is big single hit damage when you first hit somebody, and wards makes that pretty worthless

I have carried out Night's will to the point of attaining recognition as her Champion.
I have used the Coldrun to enact every available incantation.
I have carried out a full renovation of the Crossroads with every detail considered & option made available.
I have tended to my familiars to bring out all of their facets, both external form & internal strength.

Only 18 more successful outings, and I believe I will have sufficiently suppressed the lingering rage of Typhon and the residual spite of Chronos's old self.

I just need to make sure I destroy at least one instance of both at their most powerful & terrifying.

Hey everyone, it's been a minute since I played Hades 2, apparently late September of last year. Now that the game is fully released, I'm debating on if I want to continue my save file from the beta or create a brand new one. Anyone done that?

If you want to replay the story with 1.0 updates there's an incantation you can unlock to reset the story to as if you just beat underworld and surface a single time each

You keep all your progress but all the character interactions and relevant story unlocks reset

They rewrote some of the interactions with 1.0

And the ending got a rewrite

Upon beating the game again everything returns to before you did the reset

If I'm correct that's how it works

I did this on 1.0 release, then came back to my EA save after beating the game, it's up to you honestly

experiencing 1.0 on a fresh save was really cool cause since I started playing really early on EA I got to see how they changed the progression and stuff like that

in terms of story you don't lose much from playing on your save, but it might be cool to experience everything from the beginning specially if you forgot things

Hi, did anyone else think that the symbol of hades looks like the infinity symbol but cut at a point? I like to think it was a design choice and not an accidental because it symbols eternity but cut off at a point which basically means mortality and that’s what hades is responsible of, the end of your journey

Yeah I think taste often gets mixed with quality. Like I really enjoy Cyberpunk’s soundtrack and all but I know it’s definitely not everybody’s style. Soundtracks are always more about how they work for contributing to the media they are a part of, even if you don’t always like the soundtrack by itself.

And I think H2’s soundtrack does a very good job of that while also, in my opinion, standing pretty well on its own

The music has good variety while remaining coherent and adds a lot to the experience of the game. I almost never turn it off unless I’m doing a brainless run and put on a YouTube video in the background or something

But scorch isn’t limited by animation time and can be applied several times very quickly

Best weapons for freezer burn would have to be trick knives blades with Hestia special, Eos torches with hes special, Mel or Moros flames with hes attack, any coat with hes attack or special, Hel with hes attack, can even get funny with axe whirlwind, Circe with Hestia cast

But really freezer burn is strong on just about anything with how big the damage buff is so long as it hits often enough

It’s not a bad boon on any weapon if you already have a scorch and freeze

It’s just a very powerful duo and even funnier if you get Hestia godsent and run around instakilling everything

It’s like king tide in terms of damage but with less commitment and also doesn’t only work on guardians

Combat is a bit slower, and has a lot more depth, variety, and complexity, so do not go into it thinking melione will play like zagreus, keep a very open mind and the game will be alot more fun

There is a lot of resource management and resources to collect but they are collected through normal gameplay so you don't have to worry too much about it, just play the game when it releases and enjoy the experience

Melinoe is a lot slower than Zagreus. You can't rely as much on reflexes and have to play a lot more defensively. She has more ranged attacks, and she trades a lot of Zag's raw strength and speed for a bunch of fidgety abilities like her casts, which can be good, but take a lot more work to be good IMO

Most vids I see on daggers for any aspect has people spamming specials alot and barely using attack but I find using attack to be more fun idk

when we get into the context of high fear, the standard attack sequence is so disgustingly slow and committal most of the time its really rough to get it to work

hence why its a bunch of dash attack -> special spam cuz thats safer and will deal plenty of damage

anything below like 50f and do whatever you want itll work, but once you get to 50+ youll feel the difference pretty quick

or hell once frenzy2 goes on(which for most high fear players/fear climbers is immediately) the full attack sequence becomes rough to get to work unless youre already a monster build wise

Hey all - I'm at the very end of Hades 2 and I need some help because I think my game bugged out. Hiding the rest of this post due to spoilers. ||I've officially vanquished Typhon and have killed Chronos a large number of times. I also successfully retrieved Gigaros from Zag's bedroom in the dream, but when I picked it up and talked to him, Mel just tells him to keep holding on a little longer. I made two more runs and beat Chronos and she's still saying the same thing, and every time Gigaros is next to his bed to pick up. I think I'm stuck in an endless loop. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of doing at this point is either hoping someone has a save file where the game properly advances past that point and I can go from there, or just giving up and watching a YouTube video on how the game is supposed to progress/end from here.||

I've crafted everything that I can, and I think I'm at the part where I should be able to kill Chronos once and for all, but every time I get down there and beat him I just go into Zag's bedroom, pick up the Gigaros, talk to Zag and tell him that I'm not ready yet and need more time, and rinse and repeat.||

Final Battle: Defeat Chronos again after casting the spell to ensure he is gone for good.

This can either be done by killing all the enemies during the 10 second window to get the heal or using a death defiance to tank the hit. If you use death defiance to tank the hit you can just die in the third chamber since you've already fulfilled the 3 activations requirement. You can also use a steam vent/tank to die||

||You need to make sure you don't take a shop, chaos or narcissus as it needs to happen in consecutive chambers||

||This can all be done within trial of doom which drops you into oceanus with engraved pin||

So you can take that hit using a death defiance

It’s somewhat doable though since activating pin counts as removing it from your death defiance pool so you’d get strength if you had no other DD’s

So assuming strength reduces the damage it would only be 300 health lol

Hey I have a question about the room rewards.|| Every time Im in the mourning fields I eventually come to a choice: a path with a miniboss and one boon. or a path with easier enemies, and 3 rewards including boons plus the extra smaller finds. I can't imagine why this is here, because isn't the second path just one obviously better? It seems like a bizarre design choice to me when typically room rewards are randomly dolled out aside from the last one. Ive entered the first path with a single reward multiple times, and from what I can tell, it's just a regular boon. Have other people noticed this, or am I misunderstanding the way room rewards work? ||

Dashing heave is a massive hammer upgrade for axe, especially Mel axe and Nergal

Seething Marauder is also solid

Just dash attack on Mel axe remains fast enough to take advantage of the power without leaving you super vulnerable
