Azur Lane Official Discord Server 4th Anniversary Event --- The Manjuu's New Look

Manjuu is not happy, this yellow, short-beaked, and ball-shaped creature is not happy. "Four years, my outlook has not changed for four years!!! As the one and only presence in this game, I have witnessed many fancy appearances, clothing, I even had to condescend to be some seemingly insignificant props," thought this Manjuu who wanted to touch its Ahoge but could not, as the extensibility of those tiny wings has length limits. Manjuu got angry, that anger is as shocking as the cannon fire pouring out of Essex's main guns (fact: Essex is an aircraft carrier)
"I need to stop this anger before it affects Manjuu's perceptions even more." Thinking about it, @warped locust has a plan. He presented his plan to Manjuu as fast as possible.
"A plan? En...... Allow the commanders to design new looks for me? I like that." Manjuu said.

You heard it, commander, before Manjuu's anger affects it more, it needs a new look.

Hello everyone, some of you may have noticed that you are no longer able to join clubs from #club-list using the /join command because it gives you a Maximum number of channel permission overwrites reached error. Unfortunately due to an unannounced and unplanned Discord API update, there is now a limit on how many people can access the clubs using our traditional system and since all of our clubs exceed that limit no new people can join them.

We have a new club system in the works but it will take a bit until it's implemented, until then the** /join command is disabled**. For the ones already in clubs keep in mind that leaving the club, getting evicted or leaving the server will also make it impossible to rejoin the club.
Stay tuned for future updates regarding the clubs and its accompanying system.

Simply head over to new Channels & Roles tab and add (or remove) roles with one simple click (if you already added roles via Nimi bot, you might need to add and remove it first on this tab).
Server roles can be assigned the same way via the server question at the bottom of Customisation tab.

I've noticed people wanting to report a larger number of translation errors at once. Your best bet for doing this is to create an Imgur album of related screenshots and point out the translation errors on each screenshot when filling out the bug form, and possibly even doing it in the imgur image descriptions as well. This can be useful for example if you are watching a cutscene and notice multiple pages of dialogue with errors: you can take screenshots of each one and submit it as a single bug report for "the cutscene that plays when ___"

However, Please do not combine random or unrelated screenshots together when reporting translation errors to create fewer reports. If the screenshots are unrelated, it may make things more difficult to look through or explain in the bug report. It's perfectly fine to submit the form multiple times if you find multiple translation errors.

1. Enter the ship name exactly as shown in the main box of the ship, e.g., "Hiryu" not "IJN Hiryu"
2. "ship dialogue" refers only to lines that are attached to the ship as a playable character, not as a character in a story cutscene. Please report these as "not ship related"
3. Don't put punctuation in your responses. For example, use Cygnet not Cygnet.
4. Skill names/descriptions do count as being ship related

Pro tip: Any time you get an error with a number in it, try restarting your game and try again. Usually those kinds of errors are a result of de-sync between your game client and the server which restarting usually solves.

Step 1: Turn on your VPN.

Step 2: Tap once when you see “Press To Start” screen page.

Step 3: Turn off VPN when you see “Login Successful”.

Step 4: Close Notice window (if there is one that pops up).

Step 5: Tap second time when you see “Press To Start” screen page.

Hello @everyone , since there seems to be a bit of confusion in regards to Akashi's new Questline, a couple of clarifications

1. To activate the quest line, you need to tap Akashi in the shop 30 times. This is a lot of times. If you have tapped her a lot and are thinking "Why hasn't her quest started," it's because you still haven't tapped her enough. Don't tap her too fast though or it might not register each tap. If she speaks to you after you tap her, that one counts.
2. Akashi's quest line is extensive. It consists of 17 separate missions, of which the mission to collect pawprints is the 16th. This means that the paw prints will not show up immediately when you start her quest
3. Due to the nature of her missions, it will take you at least 3 weeks to a month to finish them all, and furthermore you will need to complete map 8-4

We want you to put forth your best work but we do have some rules for the art you will make.

1: your entry must be Halloween themed in some way
2: it must not contain any nsfw or excessively gory content
3: it must contain at least one (1) recognizable Azur Lane character
4: art made by photoshopping together official art or character graphics will not be allowed to compete

The contest submission window will begin Wednesday, October 10th (today) and will end at 11:59PM (2359) PDT on Saturday, October 27th. This is an 18 day window to complete and submit your drawings. New Rule
Easily taggable: your nickname must be easily taggable and readable. Including some alphanumeric characters (a-z and 0-9) in your name will help you meet this criteria.
No hoisting: Your nickname must not be designed to hoist you to the top of the online list.

For clarity's sake, your "nickname" refers to "whatever name you go by on this server." If you do not have a nickname set, it refers to your username. If you do have a nickname set, it refers to that.

we hope this post will clarify our policy towards "trophy" for you

Pictures that are consider to be "trophy"

• All ships' intro scenes from construction
• All ships' intro scenes from drops
• All ships' intro scenes from other source such as merit shop, event shop/gacha, commission, etc
• All draw scenes from rolling a point gacha
• All scenes from opening gold/rainbow rarity equipment boxes
• Certain event items, such as the Sandy stage (We will make further announcement regarding which event items are consider "trophy" when they are released)

Please post the above pictures in #trophy-room or else you will receive a temporary server mute

Pictures that are consider not to be "trophy"
-All ships' intro scenes for skins, including both from shops and events
-All ships' intro scenes for retrofit
-All ships' oath scenes
-Pictures that are not mentioned are most likely consider not trophy, however please DM a mod if you aren't sure before posting.

While retrofits, skins, and oath scenes are not technically considered trophies you may post them in #trophy-room if you are more comfortable doing so.

As previously mentioned, the primary purpose of these rules is to prevent other channels, especially #460643534685470730 and #gameplay-help , from being flooded with pic spam. These rules are not intended to unfairly limit the kinds of content allowed in #trophy-room .

A little explanation for the club system:
You'll be able to use the /join clubName command to join one of the available clubs, their list is posted in #club-list .
By using the command you'll be added to it and you'll be able to use it as any normal channel.
If you decide that you want to leave that club then you can use the /leave clubName command.

Ex. /join avrora-general /leave avrora-general

Important! All clubs will have strict on-topic rules, breaking said rules will result in a eviction from the club with no ability to join it again.
If the person has broken this rule multiple times, their ability to join clubs will be removed.

It came to our attention, that some people are a little bit confused about rules and purpose of server-general clubs (not least due to some confusing wording on our part, that'll be fixed), so I wanted to clarify them as well as announce some changes.

Firstly, while clubs are called «server-general» - this is mostly just flavour text and server-specific talk is not enforced. If it were — that would be extremely limiting in terms of topics that are allowed, so it's understandable why some people felt that way. Those channels were merely «less busy #al-general».

Secondly, considering they are less busy — we going to change rules to be less strict and to allow wider scope of discussions:

1. Soft off-topic (general discussions between users, that are not related to other games, shows, media, etc.) will be allowed fully
2. Off-topic (discussions, that are related to other games, shows, media, etc.) will be allowed to a certain extent, but long discussions should still be taken to #off-topic

Please note that these changes apply only to server-general channels, while other thematic clubs are still on «strict on-topic» rules.

In answer to your recent feedback, we removed a Halloween artwork, which had brought inconvenience to commanders when the game was played in public, from the current loading screens during yesterday’s hotfix. We intended to make a contact with the artist to clarify such situation before the artwork was removed, but he/she was unable to be reached on our Discord server. Hereby, we want to express our sincerest apology to the artist, and to all his/her fans. We will keep trying to contact the artist and solve the issue in a proper way.
 
We reiterate our respect to all kinds of fan arts, and we will be more careful with such issues in the future. Thanks for your understanding and support for HQ.

After discussion within the moderation team, we've decided that stills or gifs of Glorious's L2D that show her crotch barely being covered are banned from being posted on the server due to being NSFW. Please note that the skin as a whole is not banned, only stills and gifs that show her crotch barely covered.

Hello commanders! With the recent rollout of Discord Custom stickers, we have added the first batch to ALO! These will be useable by everyone within the server, and available to use elsewhere if you have Discord Nitro (though not classic Nitro).

About 2 months ago we made changes to memes channel hoping to combat amount of toxicity in the channel. Needless to say, it wasn't enough. Not only toxicity wasn't reduced, in some ways it got even worse. As such, today we're intoducing further changes.

Today we will be deleting memes channel completely.
For the past more than 2 years we tried to make it work and make it a place where people can share their memes and have fun, because we believe this is an important part of online communities. It always was a problematic channel, but we still tried keep it around by making changes and sacrificing more attention to it. However, there are human limits to it and that wasn't enough to keep it reasonably moderated.
So in light of that, we're pulling the plug.
We hope people will understand this change to be necessary.

Needless to add, other channel rules will not be changed to accomodate for this change. Off-topic and spam will still be punished accordingly. Azur Lane Official is Azur Lane server first and we're putting that as our focus.
While #discord-feedback is open to you in case you wish to share your opinion on it, this change will not be reversed nor do we have any plans to return memes channel back in any form, as a channel or as a club, at least at the current time.

Recently, we’ve seen a surge of Discord scam and phishing attempts towards other users. While there’s very little that we can do without affecting certain things, we want to remind you to keep yourself protected so that your discord isn't compromised, resulting in loss of the account. Here are the most common ones that phishers try to get you and what not to do.

1. Don’t click suspicious links (Nitro scam). Be it in DMs, general or gameplay-help. If its not someone you know, do not click it. If it is someone you know, try to contact them another way to confirm that said person sent you a gifted nitro. A Nitro gift will always appear in chat and is claimable through chat. It will never ask you to go to another site or click any links.

2. Game dev scams. Someone will ask you to test their game and give feedback. Often people that you don't know. This will result in either a phishing scheme or even worse ; malware. Remember what people told you on the internet ; don't download from untrustworthy sources.

3. Steam account scams. There’s yet another scam going around in DMs with people claiming to have “falsely reported” your steam account. Steam will not contact you via FRIEND LIST. Don't click the links given to you either.

If you see any of these, you can DM a Lil Mod / Moderator so that apprioriate action with compromised accounts/users can be taken. You can also report them on Discord via Report Spam.

Again, BE MINDFUL OF WHAT YOU CLICK AND DOWNLOAD. Your safety will keep others safe. Internet 101.
