- Azur Lane Official English Discord Server Rules & Regulations```


The moderation team has the final say in how the rules are applied. The spirit of the rule is more important than the letter. 

Some channels may have unique rules not listed here. Please be sure to check channel description and pinned messages before chatting. 

Please note that moderators are not Yostar Staff. Yostar staff members have a role called Azur Lane Staff, which is yellow. Moderators are simply users that are authorized to enforce the rules.

As this is an English-language server, please use English when on this server at all times. Please do not carry out conversations in other languages. For other language communities, please check out [#international-port](/guild/456397991847395339/channel/609268057994690571/)

Discipline system```


When user breaks a rule, they will receive a warning or a mute, depending on the severity. Warnings and mutes will add points towards certain thresholds. When these thresholds are reached, users will receive additional punishment, such as prolonged mutes and eventual ban. Users can challenge their punishment by requesting an appeal on server's dashboard at <https://dashboard-dc-azurlane.yo-star.com/> within 7 days of receiving said punishment. After review, appeal will be accepted or denied and users will be contacted by the bot with the verdict. This verdict is final and cannot be re-appealed. 
Users may also be barred from posting messages in a particular channel if they break channel specific rules often enough. Image-related offenses may lead to an image-ban.

**Any attempts to avoid punishment in any form will lead to a permanent non-appealable ban.**

User reporting rights```


If you think that someone is breaking the rules, please take a screenshot and report it via DMs to a moderator for further investigation. Be sure to include what rule they are breaking as well. Blatantly false accusations or attempting to bait/frame someone into breaking the rules may also be met with punishment.

- The Rules```
  1. No Toxic Attitudes```

Please treat your fellow server members, the mod team, and the YoStar staff with respect and consideration; and refrain from the following behaviors.

Trolling: includes deliberately attempting to elicit negative emotions/responses from other server members or providing false information with an attempt to mislead listeners.

Posting sensitive/offensive material: this includes topics such as politics, religion, acts of violence, gore, rape, suicide, school shootings, and other disturbing or offensive material.

Harassing users: this applies both to DMs among users of the Azur Lane Official Server and public chat channels of the Azur Lane Official Server, and includes insults or other actions that target a specific user in order to make them feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Usage of slurs: this includes any slurs and insults (and derivatives thereof) that target any group based on race, health, sexuality, etc. Rule applies regardless of context, intention or target.

Arguing with server staff: while measured discussion and questions regarding why you were warned for something is fine, attacking the moderators or becoming belligerent over being warned will likely result in another warning. You are welcome to provide feedback in the relevant channels on the Discord server if your concern is general, or you may DM a moderator or YoStar staff member regarding your warning if your concern is specific.

Elitism: Please refrain from insulting other users regardless of their server choice, preferences, experience, activity, or any other reason.

Incitement: encouraging the breaking of rules, inciting others to be blatantly rude and offensive, or otherwise promoting and/or encouraging conflicts between other members will result in punitive measures for both rulebreakers and those encouraging rule breaking.

2. Please refrain from spamming server members/channels```


Spam is a broad term used to define unsolicited or repetitious messages received electronically. Spamming is prohibited on this server and in DMs to server members. This includes image spam, text/link/emoji spam, spam tagging a user or role.

To reduce the amount of image spam in the server, [#trophy-room](/guild/456397991847395339/channel/479676955411873802/) exists for you to show off your good gacha pulls, map drops, and other things. Please see rule №9 for more details about trophies.

3. Advertising is not allowed```


Do not link other discord servers or attempt to advertise your social media accounts without permission from the mod team.

4. Using or helping someone to use hacks/cheats is prohibited```


Using Discord to promote, encourage, or distribute hacks and cheats is against Discord’s terms of service. While discussion of the existence of hacks/mods/etc. for Azur Lane is allowed, using, disclosing or inquiring how to obtain modded apks or otherwise hack/modify Azur Lane is strictly prohibited. All offenders convicted under this rule may be punished by an instant ban with no chance for appeal.

5. No explicit (NSFW) content```


Please refrain from posting sexually-explicit or otherwise NSFW content on this server. In addition to the Discord guidelines on sexual content, NSFW content is to be judged under the following guidelines:

1. No explicit genitalia. This includes visible nipples, areola, vaginas, erections, as well as clearly detailed nipple bumps and cameltoes in sexually suggestive context.

2. No implied sexual activity. This includes images of sexual activity while clothed, or implied sexual activity that has been cropped away. Ahegaos, torogaos, and other forms of implied pleasure faces related to sex falls under this guideline.

3. No implied nudity. This guideline involves using censors of any sort to convey the impression that characters posted are fully nude.

4. No asset cropping. Cropping otherwise appropriate images to focus specifically on genitalia or to make it seem sexually suggestive is generally forbidden.

5. No sexually explicit comments. This includes any comments or phrases of a sexual nature directed towards artwork, ships, or other comments.

**As per Discord ToS, content depicting minors will be judged much more strictly. **

Please note that sharing direct links to NSFW content, or <<codes>> to NSFW galleries, as well as asking for or suggesting to supply NSFW source, will be treated as a violation of NSFW rules and will be punished accordingly. If you are unsure as to whether your content is in violation of NSFW rules or guidelines, please DM a moderator to review your content before posting it.

While we respect the right of individuals to post a limited amount of their own personal information, please refrain from posting other server members’ real names, addresses, social media account info, etc. If it is determined a user is sharing this information about another user in an attempt to harm them, this will be considered doxxing and will result in a permanent, unappealable ban.

7. Follow user profile guidelines```


Your profile picture and display name (i.e., your server nickname if you have one set, or your actual username if not) should be compliant with the other rules of the server and shouldn't imitate other users.

8. Real Money Trading (RMT) is prohibited```


Attempting to purchase, sell, or beg for an Azur Lane or any other game account is prohibited; as is attempting to sell or advertise any sort of “account piloting” service. Azur Lane staff will take disciplinary actions against any members confirmed to be involved in RMT transactions.

**Members found engaging in RMT transactions whether on or off of this server may be instantly banned with no opportunity for appeal from this server.**

9. Trophies```


To reduce amount of image spam server-wide, images of construction and map drops are only allowed in [#trophy-room](/guild/456397991847395339/channel/479676955411873802/) channel and general clubs for the first week of any event with a construction rate-up. 

List of images that are considered to be 'trophies':
- All ships' intro scenes, regardless of source (i.e. construction, map drops, event shop, etc.) 
- Any reward screens showing ships as prizes (i.e. images of map drops, construction results, etc.)
-  Research ships and retrofits are excluded from this rule and are always allowed to be posted freely.

Any image not listed here is not considered to be a trophy, unless announced separately in [#server-news](/guild/456397991847395339/channel/460647583795118081/) channel.

These rules apply regardless of ships' rarity and if they are part of the current event or not.
After first week of the event passes - all trophies are allowed to be posted outside [#trophy-room](/guild/456397991847395339/channel/479676955411873802/) 
Please note that permission to post them does not mean permission to spam. Image spam and off-topic will be treated appropriately.
