The iOS Launch event will be available on all platforms! Rewards will include lots of

There will also be separate iOS-exclusive rewards similar to Steam launch, so make sure to download on your iPhones if u have them. I mean cmon, don't you guys have phones...???
iOS release date depends entirely on how fast Apple reviews/accepts the game. Can take days, can take weeks, but either way the event will still last for ~2 weeks once it's out!
Still plugging away at iOS launch, the crossover event, and a few other things! I don't think I'll have any launches/updates of any kind this week though.
But be prepared to see lots of people wearing these in the hopefully-soon future!

iOS hit a bump, I'm working that out rn with the guy helping me with the iOS port (no biggie, there was always gonna be something wrong with the iOS approval. But I can resubmit as soon as it's solved as many times as need be until its approved).
iOS event will go live on the same day iOS is released, and you'll be able to collect & open phone cases on all 4 platforms (iOS / android / Steam / Web)
All the other things I've been working on (like that kiwi I just posted ๐ฅ) is nearly done. Really hoping I can get it out this month so I can share it all and get back to more regular update posts.
This rose represents the fact that iOS is currently in review -- like there is literally an apple employee right now looking it over (it's not just waiting to be reviewed, literally in review)
It has actually be in review for over 30 minutes (last time it got rejected, it took them just 7 minutes)

If this rose turns blue, then iOS will be ready to launch whenever I want
If this rose turns grey, then iOS got rejected again and I'll have to resubmit and we will go through the process again
I will check on the iOS review status every 10 minutes and post a new rose
This process can take several hours by the way, please dont just sit here and watch this.
(I've seen this process like 12 times or so, and 10/12 took 10-20 mins, but 2 of them took 2+ hrs, where 1 failed and 1 succeeded)

Was hoping to have some iOS news, but the submission i made yesterday (I made one a few hours after our Grey Rose) is still "waiting for review", so nothing new there.

Ah darn, looks like Apple's back to their funky tricks of saying things "arent" working when they are... when this happened with my last game, I literally resubmitted the same game and just sent in video proof that the systems they said dont work actually work, and it got approved. :\
Gonna resubmit once i get some of that proof, and well see how it goes!

Personal disgruntlement toward the situation aside, I sent a request for further clarification, and will resubmit based on what I hear back from them!

Testing out various lighting / overall "feel" of world 5 environments (just by using some of the art in various rooms that already exist)
World 5 is set to have 14 NEW MONSTERS (1 of which will be w5 crystal mob -- which is exactly how many new mobs were in world 4!
Also, I've fully drawn all 14 of them, so thats a guarantee of 14 :D

This is of course a pop-culture reference to the fact that I'm currently still theory-crafting what the World 5 skills are, so I don't have many interesting pictures to post.

I can tell you myself it's a very nice plushie (I actually took that picture above! Thats MY plushie!!) -- it's about the size of a very small watermelon, or like a cantaloupe or one of those weird fruits inbetween the size of an apple and a pinapple.
Do keep in mind that once the sale ends (in like 18 days), youll NEVER be able to buy one again. Just kinda how Makeship does their thing -- I'll make another post about it right before it ends just so you don't accidentally miss out on it!

BIG world 5 gameplay reveal: Sailing Loot!
- Obviously still 'concept art' for the UI hence all the ๐ช 0000000 displays (if youre curious, I do that just to fill up the space those displays will take, to better understand exactly what visuals I'm working with)
- Your boat captains will return with various rarities of treasure chests. These chests will contain LOOT based on the island they came from, as well as "artifacts" which will be MORE important but I'll leave that unspoiled for you to find out when you play it yourself
- You'll use the LOOT you get to do the various idle game stuff you'd expect -- buy new captains, upgrade boats, etc
How would you feel about an option to manually name your pirate dudes? Would do absolutely nothing except make it easier for you to remember who's who...
= I would name them all
= I'd probably name a few, then get bored of naming them since we buy/sell captains pretty often and id stop naming them
= I would not waste time naming them, nope i wouldnt even do it once tbh not gonna lie lavafrog2
Sailing still has a while to go, but I'm getting the feeling that world 5 will be something of a 'souped up' world 4 in terms of the skills to play with
What I'm aiming for is something as "idle" as world 4, in that you can check in on it as often/not-often as you want within reason (no daily requirements, no timers), while also being a bit more 'expansive' than world 4 as you progress through it, in that it still has a few tricks to show off as you progress.
I've also been heavily considering different ways to remix the "premise" of the main game with one of the other two World 5 skills (i.e. not Sailing).
Think something similar to 3d printing in world 3, or Lab in world 4, where it changes up the way you play the game **without **adding a new layer of complexity (3d-printer allows you more ways to gather resources, and lab lets you focus on just a few of your characters).
Also pinchy pet needs to make an appearance at some point

That brings us to the following status of world 5 development:
Figure out what all the skills will be
Develop skill 1
Develop skill 2

Have all monsters & maps done
Add new Anvil T5 equipment tab
All the other small things youd expect (stamps, a few quests cuz just like world 4 im not doing many quests anymore, etc)
Estimated Release time: End of November
*World 5 blog posts will continue next week! Just finishing off the long-promised Idle Skilling update -- it'll be instantly accessible for a few days after launch if you want to try it!

This is going to be the 'purest' skill I've ever done
The idea with this is, at its core, there'll be almost NO player choice involved (unlike things like construction/alchemy/pet battles where you have to micromanage things, choose what resources to gather and what to focus on, etc), so there'll be no major thinking required.
This could be said for other skills though, like mining/woodcutting etc which also are simple. Unlike those, this will also have DEPTH to it, so it will evolve over time into something engaging, all the while maintaining no required thinking or brain usage -- the game has enough brainy skills as is!
Most importantly, it will be infinitely AFK. I am tailoring it in such a way that there'll never be any hard timers -- in other words, no moments where you stop progressing until you interact with it again.
This skill, as well as sailing, are the RESOURCE GATHERING skills of world 5 btw, so the 3rd skill will be where you input said resources for big time gains
You'll unlock several DNA strands for other plants with this being the cool UI to show your progress
For a while I was just going to do this standard 'box showcase' UI style above, but the DNA spiral I think is cooler and more unique

Hoping it'll be the sort of gameplay system many of you have been wanting to see, even if you didnt realize you wanted to see it

The 2nd skill is almost fully developed!
*It's easily the most unique, and passive, skill in the game. *
To put it very simply, you'll be checking on it for maybe 1-2 minutes every time you log in but you wont have to think about anything, as progression is very straightforward.
__I have also gone to great lengths to cut out any tedious-ness that other skills saw at launch (like trapping): __
- It will be accessible within Quick-Ref, so no need to travel to it to play it
- If you just wanna 'collect and get out' as opposed to interact/upgrade stuff in it, you can do so IN A SINGLE CLICK!
- No inventory management involved at all
- No 'hard' decisions to make. Think of it like this: Instead of having to choose A or B (and never getting the one you dont pick), this skill will have you constantly choosing whether you want A or B first (so you'll get both anyway)
My current mission is to get world 5 in testing by december 3rd, then a Full launch of World 5 by december 17th or earlier
So yea I just figured like... why shouldnt the plants just look like scattered shotgun shell marks?
(The plants dont actually look like that btw thats just anti-spoiler filter)
Enough on the black-and-white arcade computer plant-based resource collection skill, LETS MOVE ON TO THE 3rd AND FINAL SKILL OF WORLD 5!

Inbetween-posts message: After world 5 release, I will cycle back to my Weekly Updates for 3+ months just like I did after world 4 -- these weekly updates will include the following (in no particular order):
The rest of the elite classes (whose talents will focus on world 5 skills)
The rift

World 5 achievements/tasks
Some 'random' new features (maybe guilds, maybe server bosses, something small and fun)

A class-reset system, if I dont get to that in world 5 release
QoL/Balance changes to previous worlds
Bug fixes (as youd expect, since there were 96 bug fixes over the various weekly updates after world 4)
All 3 skills are essentially done -- Sailing, Divinity, and Gaming -- and after finishing them up all thats left is just the normal world stuff (monsters, crafting, NPCs, quests, cards, etc)
6 of the many SAILING ARTIFACTS youll collect from sailing chests, which youll collect from captains returning from their sailing trip, who youll collect from the rotating assortment of captains available to buy in the town shop
Some bonuses I am planning on adding in the form of the Sailing Artifacts:
+X% resources from 3d printer -- X increases by 1% per day for 50 days (X resets to 0% when you take a new sample)
Get bonuses from all shrines, all the time. You can only give them exp/level them up based on the previous proximity rules (same map, or same world if lab bonus)
Daily Spice Claim Storage -- saves and stacks up your un-used daily spice claims each day
There will be many more 'unique' bonuses like these, since they're way more fun than just +X% stat (there will be some of those too though ofc)

Context: Sailing Skill involves sailing to islands and back, and getting treasure chests. These have a small chance of containing an Artifact based on which island you sailed to. Each island has a few artifacts.
What each artifact does should be completely unknown until I find the artifact. Make it a complete surprise so I can get hyped when I finally get each one!
What each artifact does should be known even before finding it, but only IF you have the island unlocked. That way I can decide which island (from the ones I have access to) I want to try and get artifacts from!

Quick facts of the new bonuses being added in, without giving away what the specific bonus-sources are, just to give you an idea of the HUGE, MEGA VOLUME of content coming in world 5:
+30 unlockable semi-unique bonuses from source A

These are just the bonuses that affect the whole game. For example, if you think of world 4, these would be Meal Bonuses, Lab bonuses, so I'm still leaving out the world 5 equivalent of things like kitchen upgrades, or breeding new pets

Yes this is one of the many features in world 5, and yes Blobulytes do canonically have noses and eyebrows and moustaches
Sailing is coming pre-packed with some (unlockable) QoL features:
Ability to have the boats sail for treasure non-stop, so you dont have to manually send them to the same island over and over (only when you want them to sail somewhere new!)
Ability to auto-delete treasure chests of low-quality, so you dont have to constantly open up low-quality chest (you can instead wait until your loot pile is full of high-quality chests)
*So dont be alarmed when, at first, you need to manually send out your ships to get treasures. *
Just get to island 3 and you'll find the artifact that unlocks these QoL features (I dont have these features active to begin with as to not throw TOO much at you at once)

Context: Imagine you're progressing through a world, whether its world 3/4/5 etc. There are several NPCs you find along your journey to the last map, all with quests.
I am more excited when I see Piggy NPCs, because they give stamps and I like stamps
I am more excited when I see non-Piggy NPCs, because they give unique items that ARENT stamps
I like seeing any new NPC, i dont actually care if its a piggy or not

โข I still have a while to go with fine-tuning balance, and of course doing more private testing, but 'everything' is in the game so to speak -- 3 skills, 2 sub-mechanics, 13 monsters with unique drops (materials, stamps, statues, gold food), etc
โข World 5 is as big as world 4 in terms of substance. The 3 skills are very unique and detailed, maybe even more-so than world 4 skills!
โข World 5, just like with world 4, will continually be added too in the coming weeks. This means things like Tasks, Merit Shop, Achievements, Star Signs, Boss fight, are all coming later. Makes the process more manageable for me personally! B) To my understanding, and I've been doing this for almost 5 years, its just a better experience for most people to have staggered content releases. New worlds already have SO much content, having everything there on launch would just be too much to handle at once for many. Some chad gamers would be able to handle everything, but many cant.||
||Also on a tangent, there's been a bit of a controversy that's weighed heavily on my mind for a while now, and I feel like its finally time I address it: There's been a lot of hate and toxicity to me regarding my choice to name the first world 5 monsters "Suggma", on account of it being a dead cringe meme that will soon fade into obscurity. I thought long and hard about this decision, and didn't make it lightly. I will be sticking with my choice of nomenclature on the following basis: Considering my history of naming things onomatopoeia-style, the word 'suggma' falls in line with the style of the IdleOn and thus will remain valid regardless of the relevancy of the meme surrounding it. In this way, the name in my eyes proves to be the right way forward as it will enjoy the boosted value of meme status, while retaining value once the meme is dead and gone. I'm sorry to all of those who have been conflicted about me throughout this controversy, and I hope my explanation can mend hurt feelings on both sides of the situation. [this is just comedy btw just felt like doing some creative writing haha]||โข Weekly updates will resume! I'm hoping these will last 3-4 months, just like they did after World 4, and will include things like: Pet Followers, the other features of world 5, the Rift, the 4 Elite Classes wink wink, and hopefuly some fun wacky stuff like server raid bosses and guild town halls!

There has been 2 days of testing, and no major issues have been found! There have been plenty of small fixes (namely UI stuff) and some QoL changes, but nothing big.
There is still one minor feature I want to add, and a few bonuses I want to change to make things more fun, but point is I theoretically could release world 5 on the 17th based on how things are...
HOWEVER...
I forget how much of a batch of ๐ช the iOS version is to get verified, and that could stall us for quite a while...
In short, while I would love to right now announce a safe, guaranteed release date of December 18th, so we can all get hyped for a specific day/time, **the uncertainty of iOS verification means I can't responsibly give any release date

iOS version is currently undergoing maintenance due to the recent version being denied -- I am going to request a 'fast review' due to this and I hope it will be resolved shortly!
EDIT: The issue has been resolved. Thank you everyone for your patience.
Here's more info if you're confused as to why this iOS kerfuffle happened: ||It was denied for an incorrect reason -- as I resubmitted the game without changing anything and it was accepted. BUT I am very happy with apple for being quick about this and approving within a few hours instead of 24+ hrs. In short, while it would have been nice to have this 100% locked down prior to launch for iOS, in reality, it wasn't exactly my fault that this happened. That being said, I will be keeping this in mind and doing my best to prepare iOS early to avoid this in the future!||

Quick few comments regarding stuff:
- There are a few minor bugs, most notably +1.5 bubble levels/day from Lab instead of the normal +2, which will be addressed asap!

After a long deepdive into the current iOS situation, I believe I have found what caused the issue, and its part of what I hate about working with the apple ecosystem but no need to rant about that. I do want to clear up for those confused, that not everything was affected -- only the World 5 usables used within the day the first version was out, and the progress made on that day as opposed to everything -- so it's easy to reimburse the few things that were lost. More importantly, I understand exactly what happened and am 100% certain this wont happen again in the future; this also means the 4 days that have elapsed since this issue will be fully retained within your account, so there's no problems with your current progress. Thank you everyone for leaving detailed reports on the issue, and for sticking with me while I fully investigated and prepared an official statement -- you will see the reimbursement in your account (in the form of gems) when you next update, and I do sincerely apologize that this happened.

Also, this update comes with correct sorting for Mobile, so everyone will have the neatest storage in the game.
The year started off with World 4 development, which was released in March and brought with it Cooking, Meal Delivery Breeding, Pet Battles, and The Lab!
Then in April, May, and June, weekly updates rolled out which brought major QoL improvements, 2 new Minibosses, Sigils, Nightmare bosses and exclusive wings, a 4th difficulty of the Frog dungeon, the Blood Berserker & Beast Master & Bubonic Conjuror elite classes, the 10th character slot!
By July, the ending to World 4 was released with the Troll boss, which also brought into play new world 4 monsters to breed!
For the month of August, focus was shifted away from IdleOn content and improvements to bring the game to iOS, as well as work with a 3rd party to bring the first ever IdleOn plushie to production!
Finally, from September to December, all attention was put on bringing in World 5! Sailing, Divinity, and Gaming were added, and a new cycle of weekly updates and improvements began!
Thank you to everyone for being a part of this great 2022 we had! The world of IdleOn continues to grow, with over 3 million players and 100,000 of you here in discord, and I'm very excited to bring you even more fun content in 2023!

This update has more content in it than I was expecting btw, so it'll be longer than just a 1 week update
Important note to the 1B resource gamers:
IdleOn will no longer cater to the collection of resources above 1000M, whether you want to collect more or not. It will literally be impossible, the game wont let you. This will only make sense once you see the Atom Collider (which I'll discuss below), which in short allows you to upgrade bonuses with excess resources, so do your best not to embarrass yourself with conjecture about this in the meantime lol
Here's why, and what this means:
First and foremost, this is a design choice. Currently, the only reason to collect large stack sizes of 1000M+ was for a few disparate talents here and there that worked off of the "Power of 10" resources you have. This to me was super boring, especially with how interesting the concept of large-stack accumulation could be if expanded upon.
So instead, I've been bouncing ideas around in my head for months, and came to the conclusion to build the Atom Collider, which will convert large-stack accumulated resources into particles, which you use to unlock atoms and upgrade end-game bonuses.
Of course, you will still be able to get to 1000M of a resource just fine, so Max Lv Vials will still be a thing. Also, I will be adjusting bubble upgrading to account for this, although only slightly. Further, one of the Atom Bonuses will be "+ stacks to Power of 10 Resource Talents", so people who did save up 100s of billions of resources don't lose out on the 2 or 3 "powers" they will lose from this.
Finally, all excess stacks will be converted to Particles upon updating, so your excess stacks wont just vanish for nothing.
Oh also bigger, 'gameplay changing' things like this will be happening a bit more often with the coming updates.
It'll never be drastic changes, like "Cube world resetting your stuff when you move islands" change drastic, but I do think it's much more fun when game-changing stuff gets introduced as opposed to just same-old same-old.

- Divine Knight rarely, and randomly, crashing when idling for a long time: I know the issue, and am working/testing out a fix to it for next update. It has to do with the boomerang (don't worry, no nerfs incoming)
So no need to report or worry about these issues :-)
I may also look into disabling pet attack visuals if you go past arena wave N (not sure what N will be) to reduce lag

Context: This is a thing in the next IdleOn MMO update 
Hi everyone, I would like to test Non-English support, specifically with GERMAN first.
I've been thinking about translations for a while, and my hesitancy (and reluctance to work with Translation Companies) has been due to the VERY specific terms used for IdleOn (I've worked with some Translation Companies before who literally just used Google Translate ๐ and called it a day, which was awful because I couldn't tell).
However, I believe an actual IdleOn player would understand the nuance of the game well enough to give very good translations!
If you are 100% fluent in both ๐ฉ๐ช German and ๐ฌ๐ง English, and are good at translating, I would love to hire you for a few hours of translating work ($ Via Paypal)!

Hey gamers, I'm gonna get some sleep but I'm hyped to see all the excitement around the bigtime wizard!!!
Here's a quick recap of what I've done since World 5 launch, with the weekly updates and events, to remind you / catch you up to speed:
Obviously world 5 came out
I added the #1 most Player-Requested feature over the years, Auto Sort to Storage Chests, as well as 29 bug fixes
The Atom Collider was added, a lategame feature that gives a purpose to collecting millions/billions of resources, and I added a few Player Suggested Improvements / Bug Fixes to boot
I added random events, which so far have been a great no-pressure addition and a source of fun loot-seeking for those interested, as well as some standard bugfixes and a nifty "Next Vial" indicator in Alchemy
The first of the "Modern Era" elite classes was Divine Knight, whose combo potential and orb Exp/Drop Rate bonus became THE definitive answer to anyone asking you to "Name a Better Duo than..."
Also, this was when I changed basically everything to be "Quick-Ref" interactable, something I think we all love.
In addition, the "all personal" tab was added to Obols, which we also all love!
The 2nd Modern Era elite class and my personal favorite theme, the Siege Breaker, came with an interesting plunder system and sweet account-wide +% Drop Rate bonus. The hat premium-swapper stone was also added, allowing for interchangeable drip.
The Valenslimes Day event was release for ~13 days, allowing players to collect up to 3 capes for free based on their favor with RNGesus. We also hit a milestone of ~7,800 concurrent (at the same time) players on Steam, making IdleOn a top 100 PC game in the world for a while!
Keyboard Movement... somehow... finally made its way into the game, which I think makes movement as a whole feel a lot less rigid! Completable Constellations were added to world 5, a High Performance mode was added for those struggling to reach Wave 200 in the Arena, and the long-desired Quick Trash was added to Obols!
This brings us to today, where the 3rd and final Modern Era elite class was released, the Elemental Sorcerer, which fills the map with monsters then kills them in various colourful and chaotic ways! I also snuck in a virus that gives you +8 storage chest slots then uninstalls itself, which will help everyone store the 8 new frisbee colour variants that wood mushrooms definitely drop!
Lets take a quick look at the actual timeline for these updates:
Auto sort: 7 days
Atoms: 15 days
Random Events: 9 days
Divine Knight: 11 days
**Siege Breaker: **11 days
**Valenslimes Day: **5 days
Keyboard movement: 9 days
Elemental Sorcerer: 9 days
Remember, this include time spend on all the bug fixes, quality improvements, and balance changes, not just the "key component" of the update i.e. what it's named after!

Well, maybe, it depends on the player reaction! I only think it's worth doing for me if you guys genuinely enjoy it, so let me know in the Steam reviews if you want to see more of these! 
Of course it goes without saying (I initially didn't even say this in this message), I do appreciate all the support I can get here, and I've enjoyed reading/replying to reviews over the last few weeks 
As for the weekly-or-not, there will come a point where weekly is the "norm", and the excitement of smaller weekly updates wears off and longer multi-week updates are better to do, but it's really up to you all on when that time comes!
Mini little bonus question: Which elite class do you like the best?
Regardless of timeline, here's a brief idea of where I think I will be taking things and what new content will come to the world of IdleOn:
The Rift -- a 'never ending' content piece that will give people something in the form of a goal to shoot for, so the endgame isn't just making up your own goals
Pet Followers -- little fellas that follow you around, based on monsters from all the worlds! They will be for looks and bonuses, but I will be making sure these wont add to the list of things you need to 'swap' to get optimal gains.
Shiny Breed Pet Bonuses -- these will probably come WITH an update, since they were always meant to be a side-thing since there are so many different pets.
Language Translation Options -- ๐ซ๐ท ๐ฉ๐ช are already in progress, but I'm hoping to add Language Accessibility to even more languages too!
Aren't you forgetting something? -- uh... no? What, did I miss some magical fairytale, make- believe 4th elite class or something? Some Vee man or whatever the Gary V guys call themselves? Get real!
Some "random" fun updates -- I still have a desire to try my hand at "server bosses" or maybe even "guild halls", although I may do some player polling ๐ to see exactly what is most wanted. I think there should be a few updates every now and then, like Random Events, that stray from the 'meta' of IdleOn.
This is just a small list of what first comes to mind at 1:00 am on a Saturday, so there will be deviations from this, but this is a solid idea of what's to come in probably the next ~2 months!

On a final note, a lot of you may take for granted that IdleOn exists, that its just some inevitable thing -- I do the same for other games -- but it's existence is very special to me and was a lot more uncertain than you may realize.

To see all that has come from just that simple gif, and knowing that the only real reason that "IdleOn" means anything is because of you guys, is why I work so hard even after all this time, when I could've coasted probably 2 years ago once it was 'doing good', why I still care so much about it.
