A Small graphical update to towers coming in [v1.30 -- Parties and Dungeons update] -- the improved look happens as you level up your towers! There are also MORE IMPROVED looks if you level up your towers even more!
Still hoping to release [v1.30] in like ~3 weeks, just to give you all an idea for release time!

Quick reminder of what's in store for Idleon in the next few months:

Random Question for people in world 3:
Quite a few achievements of the 150 new achievements will be doable for you instantly...
How would you feel about a "8 achievements per day" maximum for JUST THE FIRST WEEK, so that you need to pick and choose which ones (remember, some give Party Dungeon boosts), and so you dont blast through half the achievements on day 1

Here are some of the achievements btw -- some of them will be Steam-exclusive (the reward for those achievements are the gems/candies that drop already), but there are MANY many new ones as well!
Rewards for achievements will include:
- Main Menu backgrounds
- Permanent Daily Arcade Ballz (you'll want these big time)
- QoL features (certain teleports + 'quick clams' for certain things)
- Party Dungeon stuff
- Some other stuff
- Some more other stuff
Just sniped this mega score while testing some achievements.. maybe I should update the Highscore achievement to require a score of 166?
There are currently 96 NEW achievements (+52 old ones currently available on steam = 148 total) ready for v1.30!
I plan on adding a few more super weird / challenging ones (with some weird rewards), as well as some achievements related to stuff within party dungeons, which should bring the total number of NEW achievements to ~110 (so 162 achievements in total)
As for a release date, I initially was looking at Sept 18th, but obviously not gonna get that... instead, think end of september. I could imagine in a week or two announcing a Sept 30th release date, but it depends on what I get done from now to then!

No release day for right now. Before world 3, I used to hit my deadlines every time (farming, rebirth, asylum, pets, tunnels (idle skilling updates), as well as a few early IdleOn updates... was like 8 for 9 in total), and I wanna get back to that, so I'm gonna play this one very carefully to make sure I can 100% hit the deadline I announce.
In other words, I'm gonna play things slow and get back on good footing in terms of my release dates (again, I had a solid run of ~16 months from late 2018 to 2020 where I hit my deadlines until world 3 happened), starting here with Party Dungeons.
That being said, here's a schedule:
Alpha starting mid-late this week
Potentially adding in 1 more party dungeon, as well as balancing / testing for a week and a bit
Hopeful release super early in october. I'm eyeing that 1st weekend in october, but again, no finite release day.
Also, considering the actual content of this update, I think its DOUBLY important I get the announced date correct... it'd be so much more fun for everyone to get their groups ready for some dungeons & everyone completing achievements all on an expected date, I think we can all agree on that!

I highly recommend staying away from any sources of spoilers for the first day or two you play (at least for dungeons)
The gameplay is a bit more dynamic than you may be expecting, so going in blind will be a much better experience for many of you than going in knowing how the whole thing works
That being said, if you DO wanna look up stuff, I'd suggest sticking to just looking up achievements (or any other non-dungeon stuff)
Current plan:
Get 100% of the content into the alpha (was current at ~90%) by end of tomorrow, and test that tomorrow / next day
Hopefully have a release day by late Saturday for either Sunday, Monday or Tuesday
I've had a bunch of fun testing dungeons with actual real people (instead of grouping up with my left hand and right foot on different phones), and you guys are gonna have a BLAST on launch day! Dungeons are great fun, especially if you're into roguelikes, and the super face pace I've developed them to have should give the whole experience a fresh feel to it!
But before Party Dungeons come out in a few days, I first ask that we all take a pledge:

Current status: Steam version is working! But unfortunately, I cant post it -- If i do, people will unknowingly download the steam version, play some party dungeons, then get stuck in a crash loop when going to their phone

TLDR of the situation at hand
β’ Hit a snag, out of nowhere Steam version just wasn't happening. Worked through it, Steam version now stable.
β’ Meanwhile, Android version, while being stable and ready to go, is stuck pending Google Verification. Yes, this is that thing many of you have heard me talk about before -- It takes either ~30 mins, 2-4 hours, or, in one case, literally 7+ days...

Another real quick question:
I don't allow you to use items from your Storage chest when crafting, only because having inventory carry capacity and enough space is a 'piece of the puzzle' so to speak. This is part of the fun of the game (keep reading pls).
However, once you've crafted an equipment once, you've proven yourself capable of overcoming that 'piece of the puzzle' of inventory carry capacity and space, therefore you should be able to "craft from Storage" after you craft it yourself one time

Approximate timelines (just for people SUPER curious)
World 3 is a few weeks away. I just need to do the "party dungeon" part, thats it, everything else is done
iPhone launch will come probably ~2 weeks after the "world 3 finished" update. I've been working with some iOS devs on it for quite a while, so it's nearly done already
World 4 is probably gonna be in January/February 2022 (aka early 2022). It really depends what creative direction I take for it's 3 skills, whether I wanna keep them simple, or go super complex.
As for the "Far Future" stuff, those'll take up the majority of 2022. I'm primarily gonna focus on getting new worlds & classes out first, as opposed to the "side things" like guild hall / house stuff. 2021 was filled with lots of "side things", like Guilds, Party Dungeons, Steam Launch, and iOS launch, but I am going to shift gears back to new worlds next year.
I should've said this months ago, since I've had it in mind for a few months and I don't think I've said it here, but:

Thinking about world 4, and was considering the concept of getting to see your other characters
and thought "hmm what if there was a place you could go, so you could see all your characters and like take a family picture??"

Tempted to call it "Cooked" instead of Cooking, and have cooked XP be gained by actually jumping into the pot yourself but I think I wont do that

Thinking of making world 4 skills be completely idle
Like, obviously having it so that the 'more' you play, the faster you progress (duh)
But not having any "Max" to the idle time, like you have for Trapping (traps have max timer), Worship (max charge), and Constructon (max build before you gotta upgrade it manaully)
This way you can leave them on the back-burner, and come back to them as you please
This was always the plan, I just wasn't 100% sure about it until now

You've made it through 2021, which was no small feat! Pandemic life has thrown everyone for a loop, so I'm really glad to see you all persisting through it as best as you can!
I'm gonna do my best to make some fun updates to keep you occupied during 2022 -- but beyond that, I also sincerely wish you all the best in continuing to keep your heads up during these tough times.
**As for the current state of Idleon, I'm just working away at world 4! **
- There'll be 3 new skills -- Cooking, Breeding, and Intellect (or something 'brain-y', haven't decided on the specific word)
- Cooking is 100% idle, with no active elements to it (apart from selecting spices to discover new recipes)
- Breeding (which both involves hatching pets & fighting with them) is 100% idle, with the only active element being 30-second battles to unlock new territories, which will be hella fun for various reasons I'll post about in the coming weekds.
- Intellect will be 100% idle, with no active elements to it
π± iOS has unfortunately hit a snag. I'm hoping to release it before world 4, maybe in February, but we will see.. Long story short, there was one specific issue whose only solution is an extensive amount of work (the last month was spent trying to find a non-extensive solution, but to no avail), so this extensive solution is the only way forward and will take lots of time.
It's a bit conflicting to say, just considering the current climate the pandemic has put us in and how much more important things are at play than video games, but I do want to end this post by saying:

I got tons of DM's from distressed players upset that all my pets were dead, so I just wanted to reaffirm that my pets are doing just fine, I gave them all Nomwiches and they're feeling much better 
||You may notice these are different pets, and thats because the other ones did indeed die a terrible death so I had to replace them... but don't tell my players that!!!||
World 4 will have, at minimum:
- 13 new monsters to fight
- World 4 Monster cards & card set
- New skill -- cooking π¨βπ³ (TLDR: Discover and upgrade 50 bonuses)
- New skill -- pets
(TLDR: Breed and collect pets, and build pet fighting teams to conquer more territories to find new spices used in Cooking) - New skill -- Connect-the-Dots-Intellectual-Incubation-and-Preservation-of-Non-Important-Player-Characters (CDIIPNIP) π ||not a joke, youll see||
- Anvil IV (thats a 4)
- New Alchemy bubbles (and probably the ability to hold down when upgrading/decanting finally)
- A new construction building (akin to Death Note, Salt Lick, Library, etc)
- World 4 colosseum, including a new trophy from the W2 colosseum master if you're a colosseum G
- Probably a bunch of other stuff I haven't really considered yet
I'm hoping to release World 4 sometime in FEBRUARY!
Pets will have various abilities, and each zone's fight has a unique enemy. So while being a "numbers game" (i.e. grinding out stats until your pets are good enough to win), its also a strategy game of having the right abilities depending on the unique enemy youre fighting.
In other words, someone who is really good at strategic thinking wont have to grind has hard to win a fight, but at the same time, if you are bad at strategic thinking ||like me||, then you can just grind out stats and win eventually!
I'm gonna try to have 20+ abilities, so there'll be a wide variety of options as well as the continuous excitement of "hmm i wonder what the next ability i unlock will be?"
FYI, fighting is NOT the only reason behind pets. It's actually way less than 50% -- after you win a battle, you permanently control that region, and can forage for spices (as mentioned before).
(Look in the previous gif from Yesterday, you'll see the Bored Bean has a Green square, and the others have a red square. That is because the bean is Forage-Type, and the others are Fighter-type)
In other words, you'll have your mind on several things -- amassing good "fighter type" pets β to unlock new regions, and amassing good "forage type" pets π to farm spices from those regions.
There's also a 3rd type of pet, but I wont be talking about it, I'll let you guys find it in the update for yourselves
You should probably stop looking at that gif, you'll be seeing plenty of it later ;)
I'm planning on also having an infinite territory battle, which you'll be able to do 3 ||or 1 or 5, idk yet|| times a week.
You'll fight progressively harder waves of monsters (always the same, in the same order, with the same stats).
Rewards will involve actual items (EXP pearls, candies, etc), but also you'll get account-wide perma bonuses based on your best wave you've gotten to... so if you're able to beat wave 10, youll get +20% damage forever, wave 15 might give +10% class exp, etc.
But most importantly, you'll get to REALLY see how good your best fighting pet team is. In regular territory fights, it's either win or lose... you can't really tell how much you won by, but infinite battles will let you keep fighting to see exactly how far your team can go!
Heres a funny question:
Have you killed Chizoar, the World 3 boss? (In other words, could you access World 4 right now if it was out)
There is going to be a skill in world 4 that will let you "pause" your players for bonuses -- basically, for the times when you really just wanna play on 1 or 2 characters, you can put the rest on pause without having to feel like you're missing out since they'll be accumulating permanent bonuses!
I'm still working on the Pet portion (will be for at least a few more weeks), so you won't see any posts on this 3rd skill for a while though
here's a cooking meal to tide you over for a bit!
Two more of the 24 abilities I have planned for pets!
I'm going to try and keep abilities very simple... no "X% chance for Y to happen, if Z and Q are true and there's a full moon only visible on the southern hemisphere" kinda thing you see in some card games
But while simple, they'll be interconnected enough with other abilities to allow for some level of strategy, as well as those "aha!" moments you'll have when you realize 1 ability works really well with another
Also, as I've said before, there's more to Pet's than just fighting (it's only 1 of 2 pet systems) -- and the abilies also work in the other system!
So unlocking a new pet with a new ability you've never seen before will be fun to discover both what it means in fighting, and what it means in the other system!
Planning on adding some 'unique' pets (different than Shiny variants), that'll be completely new creatures -- i.e. not monsters from the game
Although many of the pets will indeed be creatures from around IdleOn

Going to go with multiple shiny variants
Here's some more info on shiny pets:
Shiny pets DO serve a purpose. They are completely different than their non shiny counter-part.
Shiny pets are rare, but necessary. They will not be like Pokemon, where 99% of people never even see a single one. There is a WHOLE sub-system within pets involving the accumulation of Shiny Pets!
The different colours are purely cosmetic. A pink 'pincermin' is exactly the same as a 'blue' pincermin, other than the visual colour. This way, if you JUST care about stats and what-not, you grind until you get any shiny. BUT, if you are a collector / have a specific colour you want, you keep grinding until you get the colour you want (without any pressure that there might be if each colour had its own stat-type).
Shinies do show up within your pet garden! So if you place a shiny pet within the garden, it wont show up as the default colour bc that would be laaame ( This is pet garden --> #πfuture-content-blog message)
There are five (5) shiny variants of each pet. They are NOT the same colours for all pets -- for example, since "yellow" is the base pincermin colour, the shiny variants are all non-yellow obviously. BUT, for say... Bored Bean, who is green, yellow IS one of the variants.

Main focus is having it be idle in a way where theres no pressure to return ever X amount of time (like with Traps in world 3), while also having some systems that alleviate past issues when it comes to feeling overburdened while playing (mainly via the 3rd World 4 skill, the 'pausing' one)

gonna try to get into streaming after w4, im gonna focus in for the time being and really make w4 epic, but after that im gonna relax a bit with more bug fixes and quality control in preparation for steam launch

You'll get insane bonuses based on the best round you ever reach. I don't think I'll have any rewards for actually playing it -- in other words, grinding the arena every day will be literally pointless.
The real point of the arena is to do it whenever you feel like it! For example, when you think "ah I have a new strategy i wanna try!" or "wow my pets are SO much better than before, time to get a new record!"
I'm approaching completion of TWO of the 3 skills, so I have a pretty good idea of what World 4 is going to be like:
Same amount of content as world 3 (or maybe 90% as much) -- so World 4 will NOT the "small intermission" world I described a few months ago, world 5 probably will be though
More focus on PURE idle mechanics (no timers or caps on idle stuff) instead of active ones. Cooking is 100% idle and is un-capped, the idle aspect of Pets is uncapped and the active part will take a combined 30-40 minutes over your entire playthrough of the game (there's a literal cap on how many times you can play actively), and the 3rd skill is like 200% IDLE because not only is it 100% idle, but it severely cuts down on active playing (you'll understand when you see it)
Will continue older content -- new Trees / Bugs / Critters / Souls -- which will be used in many Anvil IV recipes
Will be very easy to navigate the skills -- new resource types (spices, Meals, etc) will NOT be physical items you have to carry around or put in storage, but will just be ambiguously saved in your account for use anywhere, anytime.
Depending on what I do for the remaining world 3 buildings (remember, there's still 3 "filler" buildings on the top row!), I may be further investigating the more friction-y parts of the game and addressing those issues in the form of those 3 buildings.

And remember, as I've said before, all equipment from in Anvil IV and beyond will ONLY require 1 of the previous equipment to craft! So no more back-tracking when crafting, you just need to focus on getting the NEW material types!

For those of you that dont know, I will be spending QUITE a lot of time adding QoL / fixing bugs after world 4 drops
Simply put, with world 4 + dungeons being out, QoL / bug fixing will be top priority for me personally (Why? Preparation for Steam Launch, as well as there being a healthy amount of playable content), whereas for the last few months it was not (I did have a bug-fixing major update period ~6 months ago though, so don't think that bug fixing has never been my top priority!)

World 4 (while being 99% about new features, things to do, etc), will heavily address the "weight" that many people feel after playing for a while
In other words, it's my aim to eliminate many 'tedious' daily actions that, once you reach World 4, really have no reason to demand you do it yourself.
In other-other words, things like depositing ores, using Alchemy liquid, buying shop items... (all these things that require you to tap tap tap and move around), you will get to fully automate
And by fully automate, i really mean that -- you'll "set it up" then youll never have to interact with it again! Unless you want to adjust your automation ofc
(of course, you'll still have to DO certain things -- like you won't be able to stock the forge with ore you dont have, so you'll still need to either deposit ore via Telekinetic Storage, or print Ore from the 3d printer. But like... duh!)

Sad news, but I don't think I'll be adding the 'pet follower' system with the world 4 update. It will instead come in a minor update afterward.
This is the approximate schedule more maybe the next... 2 months or so:
- Launch world 4
- Do a series of Bug-Fix patches, made up from a list that mods and players have helped curate
- Get back into weekly streaming, hopefully!
- Integrate the Pet Follower system. It will be more robust than just having pets follow you around.
The 'pet' system I had in mind for world 4 is, obviously, still in the game. EVERYTHING you've ever seen about breeding, creating teams, fighting, storing them in a yard, will still be there
It's just... you won't be able to 'equip' any and have them follow you yet!
I could have delayed world 4 by 2-3 weeks (or more) to put in Pet Followers, but I really want to get to bug fixing. I'd rather world 4 come out earlier so I can get to fixing things up, and have pet followers come in after, than to try and rush in pet followers and put off bug fixing.

I've said months before that I was planning for World 4 to be an "intermission" world, smaller than other worlds -- this is no longer the case :D (and hasn't been the case for a while)

Really close to starting private, internal testing for world 4, which means world 4 aint too far away (still more than a week away though)
I am planning on announcing a release day, but to cut back on personal stress I'm not going to do that until the update is essentially complete.

For those of you who like making assumptions about things... yes, the assumption you're making about this is correct ;)
Im getting more and more excited to see what everyone thinks of world 4 -- I've really paid attention to what everyone has been saying over the last many months, not just the loud ones that try to speak over others, and I'm hoping you'll all be really happy with what ive done in that regard!
(For what it's worth, I truly think world 4 > world 3, just based on the content and idle gameplay, and thats even with world 3 being one of my best updates in my eyes)
This is gonna be a weird 'calm before the storm' lull over the next bit of time, so dont be alarmed by my lack of posting
As I've said before, I'm planning on getting back to a more constant, smaller update schedule after this, including streaming and Best-Suggestions content updates and fixing up old content for 'full release' on Steam!
π Quick note: iOS is still in limbo due to technical difficulties. It's somewhat out of my control at the moment, especially with world 4 taking all my focus, but I am very much wanting to get it out there asap
To give you a taste of whats go come, this is one of 30 upgrades in the 3rd skill in world 4
Also within the 3rd skill, there are 22 equippable upgrades (completely separate from the 30 above)
That's all within just 1 of the 3 new skills... so yea world 4 is big time big

On the topic of 'you'll have to unlock access to them', one thing I've done from listening to all of your feedback is make world 4 content more 'layered'
I've seen lots of posts over many months from people saying "just got to world 3, feeling overwhelmed" (I'll be fixing that up before Steam Launch, but thats a different topic), because i really do just throw everything at you
So in world 4, what I've done is lock away a bunch of things until you progress enough to reach them -- for example, you wont even know there are new Post Office Upgrade Boxes until you reach lv 8 breeding
But that being said, for those of you who DO like having a bunch of stuff thrown at you, don't be fooled by the seemingly 'lack' of concepts when you arrive at world 4
As another example, when you first start breeding pets, you'll see there are 0 multipliers toward increasing your breeding chance... however, in truth, there are actually 5 core multipliers, all with different ways to increase them, that are unlocked as you level up Breeding.
Everything in world 4 is 100% coded up and checked!!!!!!!!
I'm gonna spend a bit of time checking the balancing of everything (I've been balancing throughout development, just doing my standard "final revision" of balancing), then start the internal test (with some private, anonymous users who will hopefully remain private and anonymous π΅οΈ ) probably by tomorrow
World 4 release schedule looks like this:
- Do final revision of balancing
- Send out to internal testers, and gather some feedback on balancing and fix any other errors that may be found
- Announce a release date maybe like 5~7 days after this step is reached
- Continue to fix any small things that may be found during this 5-7 buffer time period, as well as spread more hype about world 4 via more informative Blog Posts!
- Release world 4!!!

Fixes everyone who is crash-stuck out of world 4 because of cooking. If you're curious what happened, theres a TINY hitbox apparently that would crash things. Out of months of testing from myself and several dozen players, we never happened to hit that tiny hitbox but you did. My apologies for the inconvenience, but you'll catch up in no time!!
Fixed the issue where, if you select a player from the Main Menu who is Cooking, it sends you outside the kitchen and gives you no cooking. This will no longer happen.
Currently investigating a new crashing bug related to new stamps, I believe its
only.
In addition, gonna add this (you can ALREADY do delete from drone, but many many people giving me feedback that they didn't realize you could! Happy to be getting constructive critiques & feedback, helps make the game better!)

= Nah, I wont lie, I'd just ignore any party system you add outside of dungeon, regardless of what it is / what it gives
Context: I'm thinking of a random-event sorta system, where occasionally you get a popup saying "A [certain event] has occurred on [some map] on Pizza 12, go now! And you'd go there, form a party with whoever else went, and try to win

I'll be posting a Roadmap of various things tomorrow (filling out the above image) with general ideas for what's gonna come to IdleOn!
I will be ordering things within each section in order to the best of my ability. I'll say it again after I post, but point is: While you can be certain that things in the "Later" category will come after things in the "Soon" category, don't be too surprised if things at the bottom of the "Soon" category come before things at the top.
Some UI changes in the works:
- Replacing the CHAT with PLAYERS button
- Changing the way the chat box works so that it's more fluid and feels better to use, as to encourage map/guild/Friend DM chats. The "chatbox" option in Menu will be to toggle on/off the message bubble in the bottom left corner, so people who have NO interest in it will NOT have to have it locked to their screen
(I can't be the only one who routinely forgets that Friend DM-ing is a thing in game)
Reasons for the change, for those curious:
I want to reiterate hard to players just how important "Players" are in the game. Having a dedicated button tells the player not only that it's important, but ALSO that its a CORE part of the game (why else would there be a dedicated button for it?)
Chatting in game is just a tad bit too clunky for my liking -- a slight overhaul to it has been a long time coming! The main thing to note about this change is that you'll be able to see if there are any pending messages (Guild / Friend DM) without having to have the chatbox open.

IdleOn Timeline, as I believe it to be currently:

When you load up v1.57 with the new classes, you'll find that some of the world 5 classes will be available. For example, on your Squire, you will be able to Elite into Diving Knight. This is fine, you should totally do this. ||(Divine Knight won't have any talents yet or Family Bonus, since they'll be world 5 related, but you can preemptively select this class)||
HOWEVER, IF YOURE A BIT TOO SMART, YOU MAY THINK:
Hey, what if I class-swap my Squire into a Barbarian, so I can have TWO Blood Berserkers, instead of having 1 Blood Berserker and 1 Divine knight! That will be epic gains!!
If you do this, once world 5 comes out and Divine Knight gets their OP talents for world 5, you will be stuck with 2 blood berserkers and 0 Divine Knights. So DONT do this.

As planned, I have replaced a more common-occurring jewel with the Amethyst Rhinestone. Why, I hear you ask out loud, because you're just reading what im typing
Well I'm glad you asked why, because this is why:
Certain jewels, like the Amethyst Rhinestone, won't be appearing again for 50+ weeks. There are 4 such jewels, and as I've done before I will be rotating in these jewels in place of other jewels that show up more often
I started with Amethyst Rhinestone because it's a cool jewel and I think its good that people have it
I thought I had more reasons planned hence why I went with this list format, but upon further consideration I covered it nicely with just two reasons, so instead of reformatting my message to better fit two points, I'm adding this one as a third and sticking to the list format.

For those that dont know, **Idle Skilling is my old game, and I PROMISED it would get another update -- I am a gamer of my word, and now that I'm a bit more older and capable as a developer (IdleOn has had my hands full big time), I felt that the time was right to DELIVER!! π€ **
I made Idle Skilling
from 2018-2020, before starting IdleOn! This is not a "new" game, but I am elevating myself to the next level (lv. 2 lol) by committing to doing both IdleOn development and Idle Skilling development for a while, because I've reached a point where I am confident in my abilities enough to give it a go, and I know there are 10,000s of Idle Skilling players who will appreciate it, while continuing awesome update for the IdleOn players 
I've already done a bit of work on the Idle Skilling update over the last 4 weeks, and I think you'd agree it had very little impact on the speed of IdleOn development! I'm just doing this for fun in my spare time instead of scrolling through social media and rotting my brain, so it's a win win!!

The story so far:
There are animals that you level up, who probably live in a barn. Various currencies are involved in what is most likely the upgrade process of these animals, and for some reason theres a weird purple portal.
Animals can mutate into different, more powerful animal variants, (I heard theres more base animals than just the Piggy, but what do I know I could be wrong xD ok I wont lie I'm not wrong and theres gonna be 6 to start with)
There are weird bosses, like a slug who tried a little bit too hard to fit in with his snail friends, and a very very sad candle, and it can be assumed that these bosses must be destroyed.
Hoping to fully announce all of this within the month! Until then enjoy seeing random pictures and concepts (with occasional "story updates" if you want more!) every day!

It's been over a year since Lavablog #4 (#πfuture-content-blog message).
Before I dig into blog #5, lets take a look at what's happened over the last 365 days:
β’ Party dungeon update came with 2 dungeons -- Frog & Snake crypt
β’ Arcade was added, accessed from the Clown in world 2
β’ Achievements were added to each world, giving a myriad of bonuses from Arcade balls to stat bonuses to title-screen BGs
β’ World 3 completion, including new quests, World 3 Completionist Trophy, and Igloo Dungeon.
β’ World 4, with the three new skills of Cooking, Breeding, and Laboratory.
β’ 3 Elite classes, one for each main class type and each revolving around a world 4 skill
β’ Various events: Summer 2021, Winter 2021, and Easter 2022.
β’ A few dozen weekly updates, containing quality improvements, bug fixes, small missing features like Sigils and Nightmare bosses, etc.
That brings us to today! The main reason for this blog post is to bring you up to speed about whats on my mind, and what you can expect in the future!
π First and foremost, I have been working with someone to bring IdleOn to iOS, and we are nearly there! I am heavily considering doing an iOS-themed idleon event to bring awareness to this, and to do that INSTEAD of a summer 2022 event. So don't be worried if you continue to not see any summer event coming to the game this year -- the planned iOS event will serve as this year's Summer Event, and will ofc feature the usual myriad of unique items

, and other goodies 
I announced a few months back that I am working on an update to my previous game Idle Skilling, as well as a Steam version for it that you can find here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1048370/Idle_Skilling. This is coming along nicely, just taking my time making sure everything is up to speed and not letting it slow down IdleOn development. **I am thinking of finally doing the [Idle Skilling x IdleOn] crossover event I have been planning for years when Idle Skilling launches on Steam
** So keep an eye out on Idle Skilling if you're interested in snagging some great IdleOn items (also 99% of you playing IdleOn will enjoy Idle Skilling if you try it out, trust me)
π World 5 is not yet in development, although I have been mulling over what direction I want to take things in. World 3 was an explosion of features and mechanics, and World 4 dialed-back the active input required to play efficiency. I'm thinking World 5 will lean heavily on the 'idle' side of things, similar to world 4, but will try to flip gameplay on its head a bit WITHOUT adding any complexity. In other words, I want to continue what world 4 did in adding less complicated mechanics, but Im thinking of ways to mix things up by adding new systems to strive for as opposed to just "bigger numbers yay" if u see what im throwin' down dawg.
The remaining things I've brought up before, which are Pet Followers, guild halls/expansions, sailing in world 2, World 4 Rift, are still up in the air as to when I add those in. Currently, nothing strikes me as the #1 priority, hence why I've continued with the weekly updates for quite some time now. I do want to get back to new content soon though, so you'll see those fall into place over time for sure!
Also, some of you may have noticed I haven't streamed much as of late. For those curious why, I didn't feel like it was worth it to stream small updates each week. What I mean is, "Weekly Update 7" doesn't make for exciting streaming content compared to something huge like World 3 or 4. I could have continued streaming each week, but I felt like I was being repetitive and boring and just going through the motions to the point where I...
... felt like it would be more efficient to focus on development and not take a day out of each week streaming the "same" thing over and over. I do hope to return to streams with upcoming content (world 5, iOS launch, etc), but more infrequently, so that each stream will be more unique and just overall higher quality.
