I'm trying to do the weekly challenge run right now and I'm having the worst time finding the ghost room on high school with tier 1 equipment

Is there anything that can make it easier? Cause like I got dirty sink water in the female teachers bathroom on the first floor, and a ghost event in the boys locker room and those two rooms are on like the opposite side of the building from one another. Not to mention neither of them are the ghost room

You only get one sanity medication and I'm already like 20% sanity without even having found the ghost room

Hey y'all, I'm facing an issue still that I was hoping to resolve a while back but had no luck. Every time I enter the game, it has my cursor settings, audio settings and brightness settings forced to zero. Was told it might be a Nvidia issue but I've disabled that altogether with no luck on a fix. Saw others having this issue in a Steam discussion, anyone have suggestions?

If so, turn this setting to off. Then enter the game and fix all the settings. Then it should save them. Feel free to let those in the Steam discussion know, as well.

Yeah, I've already tried but unfortunately that didn't seem to fix the issue for me. What's odd to me about it is that if I leave the game and get back in, it won't reset but if I stay out of the game for a while then it resets? I'm assuming there's some setting messing with it but I can't figure it out

It's already been completed by the community. If you do not have it, try playing one round on an event map, making sure to get a few points. Then close the game properly through the menu, restart the game and check from a singleplayer lobby

I feel that the Crucifix range should be a sphere, not a circle. I'll explain: you have a ghost near some stairs, the crucifix covers the whole area with ease, but the ghost decides to spawn on the staircase. Now, the crucifix should have prevented that hunt, we are talking Tier 3 here, because it definitely covered the whole floor space up to and including most of that staircase but, because it seems to count as a separate floor, the ghost spawns fine and is now behind you blocking the path out of the room and totally fails to burn the crucifix you need it to do to get all the objectives. If the Crucifix range had been a sphere it would have triggered with the ghost spawning on the staircase providing us with objective, photo, and video.

I've had Apoc 3 attempts come so close to succeeding so many times. I had a Moroi that I called a Thaye because I couldn't recall if it sped up when it saw me or not. I had a Yurei that I guessed on, and second-guessed myself and selected Jinn right before I left. I had a Wraith that spawned on top of me and hunted right as I was leaving.

the ghost in spite of where its favorite room was, was spawning under the floor in the foyer. You could only die by hang man card. super weird but super happy its fixed. I love that map

Ironically, having not seen the update, I just made a bug report ticket a few minutes ago. I’ll be happy to be able to play that map cause I’m new to the game and think that map is really cool

I reported shortly after the event started. Second time it's broke. It broke the first time after the tanglewood rework and they fixed it. then it broke after the cursed hollow event. Waiting to see how it handles the map rotation and the next event after this one ends.

It’ll be neat to see maps once the event ends aswell as how they look at other events. I’m honestly surprised to see this game still getting updates after 5 years, not a lot of games get updates this long after release

its officially, i believe, still in early access which is one reason its still getting updates. second reason is there is a huge following to Phasmophobia. And the maps change which ones are in the event so like for me 8pm Eastern Time Zone (around that), there is a new set of maps that are event ones. So if you wanted to see like tanglewood today is not an event map but it was yesterday.

and you can tell the Cursed Hollow event maps with the little nest next to the map.

Always identify your hiding spots before getting too deep. Knowing where to hide before being forced into running is gonna be great of a help

Make sure to use 'Toggle' voice option for your mic and toggle off when you're hiding

Prison specifically has major problems that aren't found in other large maps. The cell blocks are divided into left and right lower and upper sides, and the ghost is in ALL of the cell blocks on that side. It's a huge pain and I don't envy your attempt

the larger maps require a certain level of expertise to locate the ghost room and survive the process. Its not a level most casual players will get to , so don't feel bad if the larger maps are a bit too daunting . If you want to get into how to find the ghost room and get to that point, im sure there's videos from many of the phas CC and the people here would be willing to help walk you through it

Interesting, cause I like the theme of larger maps but they seem like they’re unnecessarily difficult cause th ghost decides on a room and thst could be something massive but also the ghost can be mostly in one region of the room too, making gathering evidence more difficult compared to smaller maps where it could be somewhere small like a bathroom or bedroom

Cursed hollow was surprisingly large even on PC but I assume it wasn't a lot of NEW stuff, just a lot of change. Also unless they improved recently, I recall console updates being much larger than PC just because they don't all use the same patch compression (steam has one of the best)
