More info: tall ghost. but through dots you can see it’s non human form, with fur and antlers(accessories only visible through cameras). When it hunts, it is shown in a barely noticeable taller form of a normal human model. Cannot be detected with EMF at all, and can mimic spirit box. Parabolic microphone sounds will sometimes switch between female and male voices as it gets confused. Microphone sounds can also include thumping stomps.

Kinetic Games really need to rework the update entirely from the ground up as it's not just the bugs they gotta fix.

If they really want to truly bring the best quality of animations, and character customization for Phasmophobia then here is two suggestions.

  1. Consider investing into mocap to create high quality animations that are performed by actors, something that Outlast Trials uses to create their animations for their characters to look lively with their smooth animations from the actors performance of each action for animations whether it be using the spirit box, flicking on the light switch, lighting a match, and even using smudge sticks. This would truly bring the best of the best quality of animations for Phasmophobia as this would be worth it.

And 2. Make the characters fully customizable to it's very core from facial features, eye colors, body type, skin color, hair color with the color slider that the player icons have on the journal settings, and etc because we as the player want to be able to create a character that we can truly call our own that we created in the Phasmophobia universe like an OC character. This would make character customization ultimately much better, and satisfying for the players to actually create something that is truly part of themselves.

With these suggestions said. I really hope this helps, and that the devs consider doing this as this would truly make the update absolutely phenomenal to what we've been hoping for during the 2 years of waiting.

The new update has really put a damper on the game. I could deal with the janky leg animations, but there are completely unnecessary things, like the garish book light on the Journal. It's so against the style of the game that I couldn't tell what it was sticking out of my leg, I thought my watch was detached from my wrist.

Additionally, the player animations slow down the entire game. Phas used to be based on its clean and smooth player-side gameplay, despite the jank everywhere else. Now it feels like there's a layer of Velcro over everything- what's going to snag next while I try to do some basic setup, or capture ghost evidence? It doesn't feel intuitive at all, and shines a glowing spotlight on all of the small bits of jank I was able to easily tolerate before.

I'm a player who prefers to play without a flashlight (tier 2 headcam + eye adaption makes most maps navigatable in the dark for me) so that I can carry one extra equipment.

We need a way for characters not holding a flashlight to "check" the new watch. (know I can also pull out the journal instead, but then that blocks the entirety of my vision... or I have to have an empty hand to do the check watch animation, when a player with a flash light wouldn't have to... I sort of feel like i'm put at an unfair disadvantage by not carrying the flashlight)

More importantly the toggle voice indicator has been moved from always visible in the corner of the screen to the watch, which is a nice immersive UI touch which I do really like. however... again since I'm never holding the flash light, my options to check the watch are limited. So I can't visually check if I remembered to toggle voice back on after a hunt...

It needs to be mapped to its own button hot key

Suggestion: I believe there should be a setting in custom difficulty that sets the multiplier to x0.0 in exchange for you to be able to choose whatever ghost you want. (For example you could choose deogen and you will have a deogen on the next contract).
This could be useful to practice with certain ghosts.

There should be a dedicated hotkey for looking at your watch just like there is a dedicated hotkey for the flashlight since MOST of the hunting equipment are only 1 handed, being able to see your watch while holding something in your right hand can definitely boost ghost hunter experience, that'd be neat!

Also, since the animations of the "switching between equipement" is really slow, you should also put in a hotkey for the equipment.. like a simple 1, 2, 3, and 4(lighter) so that instead of only relying on the Q cycle. you dont need to put in a UI for it; if it ruins immersion.

One thing I’d like to see is what people think of this:

An exp - prestige exchange mechanic

So for myself and a fair few others, we have grinded our levels a lot. 1500 levels for myself is a fair amount of exp (almost 10 million).

Now prestiging currently removes all of the exp, money etc. If I was say level 200-300 I wouldn’t mind so much, but I feel like with no reward there’s no reason for me to prestige so here’s my take:

For the exp required (283,432) we should be allowed to take that out of our current level then add that prestige on top so for me that’ll be like 15-17 levels that I’d pay to prestige once.

Reason I say this is because I could imagine a lot of players like myself, would be happy to go prestige if there was either rewards or some way to exchange our levels for prestige levels like I explained.

TLDR: Pay 283,432 exp to add 1 prestige level.

Whenever this ghost hunt, it will have normal speed, but it may seem like there is two ghosts. The thing is there is actually two ghosts and whatever it hunts, both ghosts will not be able to kill but instead of will search the house and the first one to get in line of sight onto a player they will immediately have a speed of 5.3 but when the it touches you, it won’t kill you, but you will love the other ghost to your exact location and it will know where you are at all times and will target you until you are dead or two hunts passed

idea for a new ghost type that will respond to the type of clothes you wear. fashionista ghost lmao

  • if you wear a green shirt (if it eventually gets added), for example, it'll be very fast, if you wear a red shirt, it will be really slow. other shirts are normal speed.
  • if you make a picture of the ghost (hunt only), you wont actually get a ghost picture but a picture of the player because the ghost is mimicking your fashion choices
  • ghost will majorily pick shoes to throw. it will throw other objects too, but prefers shoes

As a Filipino, Aswang in Phasmophobia is kinda bit accurate, but I suggest if Aswang could be affected by any items especially salt (Aswang hates salt) but it's up to devs about how Aswang could react on salt either...

Aswang can't pass through salt or Aswang will get slow in just few seconds before it back to normal or became aggressive (like reversed Gallu)

New Ghost Type Suggestion — Aswang

The Aswang is a highly deceptive and aggressive ghost inspired by Filipino folklore. It focuses on trickery, sudden movement, and psychological pressure.

Unique Abilities

  • If the Aswang steps in salt, it becomes stunned for 3 seconds, even outside of hunts.
  • During multiplayer games, the Aswang can trigger a special ghost event where it appears inside another player’s body and slowly walks toward someone while repeating live voice input from that player’s microphone.
  • The Aswang can occasionally “fly,” causing it to:
    • Avoid stepping in salt
    • Make no footstep sounds
    • Drain sanity from nearby players

  • The ghost is visible most of the time, only disappearing every 1.5 seconds for roughly 0.3 seconds.

Movement Speed

  • While visible, the Aswang moves slowly.
  • Whenever it blinks out of sight, it performs a sudden dash forward at 5 m/s for 0.3 seconds.

Additional Traits

  • Frequently produces screeching noises and scratching sounds on walls.
  • Can randomly ram into players outside of hunts, pushing them forward or knocking them over.
  • During the day, the Aswang behaves more peacefully and may appear friendly.
  • At night, it becomes far more aggressive, active, and hunt-focused.

**Different salt interaction or completely avoid salt or hunt stops if it steps on salt. (I heard it has an interaction with hiding spots. Perhaps it can be changed to this because that one does not make sense lore wise) **

Reason: Aswangs in Philippine Mythology are scared of salt. It hurts them. It's a known repellent for Aswangs.

I was just thinking, it would be nice if a player could join in with their friend late or mid game, so many times I disconnect because of internet issues and I am unable to connect again and join mid session where Ieft off. this is also annoying when it is 2 players, then everything gets left to one person because you can't connect back :/. I know this would also be used as a cheat for some people, but maybe if the game could somehow pick up that if you died previously and left the game you're still dead in game when you reconnect, and maybe pick up the difference between you disconnecting because of other issues, rather than you disconnecting because you pressed a button to cheat the system. Just a thought.

increase the timer for solo player to choose a ghost option when they die before going back to the lobby-- or, start the 5sec timer to start after the death animation. I've seen way too many deaths to unexpected hunts the and 'newly ghosted' can't get a type picked quick enough because of the new (un-asked-for) animations eating the timer. The animations are nice, but unneeded in a game where timing and speed can be in-game life or death.

I would like to suggest the animations be polished heavily.
The update is cool but the animation quality seems to lack from what the devs have provided us in the past, they seem severely rushed.
I have personally been waiting for this update for a very long time.

I’ve noticed a few things that don’t feel quite right.

  1. The flashlight and headgear share the same activation button; however, the flashlight still counts as an extra carried item, even though it is now equipped in the left hand within the game.
  • Solution: The flashlight should no longer count as a carried item.
  1. It feels odd that while you can hold and switch on a flashlight with your left hand, the headgear—which is activated via the same key—is switched on using your right hand, forcing you to put down whatever you are holding in that hand.
  • Solution: Activate the headgear using the left hand.

Can we have a rare event on higher difficulties where the ghost semi frequently goes on a map wide rampage just screaming and crying? Not really going after anyone, just roaming around and kills anyone not hiding or anyone unlucky to get caught in its path.

Maybe make it’s pathway simply through the major parts of a location so hallways and paths through houses like kitchens and living rooms. It’ll avoid bedrooms and bathrooms but might peek through an open door quickly before moving on.

Simply put, it’s supposed to be a unique and rare encounter designed to really freak people out when they hear or notice it happening. It would also raise the tension as the investigators would be uneasy about when it’ll happen next.

I have just finished all my personal goals for the Alan Wake event, just waiting for the community goal, and I must say, this is the most fun I've had in an event in quite a long time, I hope the upcoming holiday events follow suit. The collecting runes, tokens, dolls, etc made it a fun change, not just a grind for hours and days to upgrade a trophy or badge. Please more like this!!!

Suggestion for the players who play across different platforms: Cross Progression or allow for a one time merge to a different platform. For example, merge your Xbox progression to your Steam account. It would be amazing to not have two different accounts if playing on different platforms (i.e. Xbox and Steam)

I've finished Alan Wake event and honestly this is really refreshing events and I love it. Easy, quick to finish and not a lot of repetition which is also nice. It brings back the older events like gathering eggs or finding candy around the map.

As for characters update.
I would say right from the bat that animation shouldn't impact the gameplay. Compering to the old animations that were much snappier the newer ones slow you down by a lot. Specially when you have to switch items around, light up your insense etc. My suggestion would be either to have a option to turn them off (Which is a brutal option because there was a lot of work put into these animations) or bring back the old ones but keep the new ones as overlay so when you play with friends they can see those new animations.

Another suggestion would be to add another inventory slot this time for sanity medication only, since jackets are now a thing it would be nice for clothes to have a purpose maybe.

Last suggestion is to change entire UI system of character custom it just feels really overwhelming in my opinion. Plus there is not a lot to customise and I know the update is still fresh and stuff but add more options.

I have something to suggest that I think would help bring the game more to life; Make the Tier III Tripod be able to tilt the camera up and down, instead of only being able to pan left and right. 🎥

I think it would be really cool if Phasmophobia added a ghost win streak system.
Every time you correctly identify the ghost, your streak increases by 1. The streak would reset if you die or guess the wrong ghost.
It could add a lot more replay value and give players an extra challenge, especially for experienced players. Maybe there could even be small rewards, badges, titles, or statistics tied to higher streaks.

Ghost Idea: Lost - A recently deceased ghost, which appears to be unaware of it's circumstances. It will avoid home intruders as much as possible, at least until it knows who you really are
Strengths - Will frequently change rooms to avoid ghost hunters
Weaknesses - Will hesitate before attacking

Awareness of Death - The ghost can become aware of it's death upon player picking up bone, a death during a false hunt, and has a small chance to become aware when ghost hunters attempt to communicate or using cursed items. The ghost becoming aware causes normal hunts replace false hunts and the ghost room to change a less frequently
Hunts - False hunts at 50% sanity unless ghost becomes aware. Normal hunts start at 30% regardless of awareness. During false hunts, the ghost will create as much distance from player as possible, but will still kill if it feels cornered or a player walks into them.
Room Changes - The ghost will not randomly change rooms regardless of modifiers. The ghost however will change ghost room after 15 seconds of cumulative time a player spends in the ghost room. Each additional teammate will cut this time down in half, all the way to 2 seconds at worst. Upon gaining awareness, the ghost room changes will slow down to roughly a minute but additional teammates will still cut the time in half, down to a 7 seconds at worst.
