So I'm playing a new round Intermediate mode with a friend, and the ghost keeps throwing the camera and opening doors. The only two ghosts that it can be are a Shade or an Oni. It refuses to do DOTS or Ghost Writing, and sometimes it'll throw stuff or open doors in front of us, but sometimes it does nothing

i got some clarification on that the other day, if you turn a light on, start a 10 second timer (in your head), if ghost doesn't touch it, turn it off (before the 10 second timer expires), then when the 10 second timer expires, you can turn the light on again and repeat. 10 second cooldown applies per person per switch

you mean your crosshair? maybe its a bug then but you should be able to hear a lock sound when it starts hunting. find some hiding spots in the map before you go investigate so you can go hide without struggling to find where to hide

It's pretty hard, you def need a lot of knowledge on the ghost behavior AND good RNG

A lot of it is gonna be to keep rerolling for good objectives

Took me a while, but I got it done with a Hantu and I'm never touching that challenge again!

Patience is key, and you'll also get some good objectives to pursue: taking photos of the MF camera, capturing ghosts, and detecting ghosts with the motion sensor. And hopefully you'll get a ghost that's easy to spot, since their speed varies in Apocalypse 3.

Apocalypse 3 is mostly RNG, Apocalypse 2 is, in my opinion, as hard as it gets in terms of pure skill.

If you don't got evidence, you're cooked unless two things happen:
One, if the fast ghost hunts for exactly 24 seconds. If so, it's probably an Obambo.
Two, if the ghost changes speed in the middle of a hunt without gaining LoS, it's an Obambo.

The one time I tried it I was with a friend, he convinced me to hide behind a table in a computer room. He called over the ghost since he was testing for a Yokai, and wouldn't you know it, the mf skipped him and violated me, instead.

Even though, based off of what entrance to the room it took, it should've seen him first.

In the entrance, from where you enter, at the far end of the room is a corner with two lockers. That's the only official hiding spot I've found so far. I haven't played enough of Prison to find the rest, yet.

It's better to check for how often they blow out a candle.

Once you light a candle, and the ghost blows it out, relight it. If the ghost blows it out in less than 20 seconds, it's an Onryo.

It only counts if it blows out an individual candle in less than 20 seconds. If you suspect it's an Onryo, you have to keep relighting the candle until you get the ghost to blow it out in less than 20 seconds or you find something that proves you wrong.
