Ghost concept idea I made a year ago (summarized):
Ghost Type: Draugr
Evidence: EMF 5, DOTS, Ghost Writing
Strength: Enhanced waypoint memory. Ghost can set waypoints on people that it sees/touches during ghosts events in addition to hunts (only marks the nearest player). During a hunt, it will always check that location there first before doing its normal patrol (100% chance as opposed to another ghost's 50% chance). Ability works between floors.
Weakness: Higher chance of leaving EMF 5 (33% chance). Requires a minimum of 30s in-between hunts instead of 25s.
Hidden ability: 50% chance of teleporting to a player's last marked position before starting a hunt a moment later. Teleportation is solely because natural roaming may take too long to complete on larger maps. Hunt is briefly delayed to prevent potential issues with teleporting on top of a crucifix.
Miscellaneous stats: Hunts at 60% average team sanity.
Ability to make a nickname on game so you dont HAVE to keep your regular tag there in case people wanna stream and others dont want their names out there or just to make it more personalized in general♡
Toggle ready, so you don't have to keep readying up. When maps change or people leave/join
Make a category of unique items that can be used for interesting weekly events. They could be items from ghost hunting shows, "experimental" types of gear that do unique things (both new and based on existing evidence gathering gear), etc. It would also be a good way to replace the tier 1 headgear without having to remove it from the game, to keep it for challenges. Right now the tier 1 headgear is functionally useless in singleplayer and is not useful when you have any of the video cameras available.
You could add this communication system to spectator mode and the messages will only be seen once you have a uv object (i saw this on twitter)

Have a text chat like in repo where you can type and it says it out loud for people who might not be able to use voice chat for many different reasons (mute, no mic, etc)

I would love to see an in-game text chat be added! I also think it'd be really nice if players could toggle an "only record unique videos" setting from van recordings because it's really easy to get things like duplicate salts and stuff, which makes the limited deletes pretty frustrating.
My concept for custom maps. You could switch between kinetic maps and community custom maps which can be made in some form via a built-in editor or something else. Maps would need to be verified (inspired by GD) in order for players to be able to receive rewards. Maps are sorted via verified and their popularity (number of favorites). you can favorite maps to quickly view and play them later, plus search and filter functions for narrowing down maps.
The ? in the image would be a map thumbnail, i just didnt want to bother making one :p.
If a custom map is chosen all clients will download the map and offload them when leaving the lobby. I have no idea how load times would work with maps prob in the gigabytes (which may be most of them) cuz I dont have experience with it but whatever. Ik this will never be added but i did it for funnies

The option to use keybinds (1, 2, 3, 4) to navigate inventory instead of just Q and scroll wheel! 
I use throwing items to communicate (1 drop for yes, 2 for no) while the other ask questions (if we had an evidence, know the ghost, show evidence they can take a picture of, etc)
I feel we need cross platform progression for those that do have the game on all platforms! Trying to grind say the winter event on all 3 was impossible and it will help with cheaters having a phasmo account… sea of thieves have it and it’s great if I can’t play on Xbox I can load up my steam deck and carry on … plus twitch drops means you have to decide which platform you want them to go to rather than having them on all

So had few ideas which i think would make the game more interesting including the following:
Adding in so more players are able to join and enjoy larger groups playing is something i think would benefit the game and encourage more players to play bigger maps like sunny meadows and allows more fun throughout gaming and streaming.
The other bits would be suggestions of adding more to the game for once you die where there are tasks for you to complete allowing you to try and work with the team or allowing you to interact with lights etc confusing team members of where the ghost is for those looking for more devious games of tourmenting alive team mates.
Also challenge mode should have more multiplier as yes after completion getting 5k is great but should be atleast same multiplier as professional to ensure its worth more upon completing to level up etc
I have a few ideas that the game would be better.
Mcdonalds partnership.
Mcdonalds map, with the ghost skins being, Ronald Mcdonald, and all the other mcdonalds characters, mcdonalds worker. Must include the beeping sound 24/7. can reduce chances of hunt by working mcdonalds shift but orders get harder and harder and if you fail, you get instant hunt. A McHunt, McLooping. Ice cream machine is broken.

A rework of the reward system. As it stands, the reward system still feels skewed towards one-hunt strats rather than incentivising perfect games. Whilst there is merit with one-hunts, it really only uses a subset of a person's ghost identifying abilities. Here is my proposed change that would still allow speedrunning/one-hunts with less efficiency, but really incentivise perfect games.
Change the Investigation bonus. Only give the bonus if they get the ghost correct AND complete at least one additional objective. Give 50% of the bonus if they complete two objectives, 75% of the current bonus if they get three objectives and the full additional 100% if you complete four objectives. Increase the reward that harder or longer to get objectives give (such as the x number of photos / videos / sounds).
Increase the Perfect Investigation Bonus. Currently, it gives 50 times by the multiplier. Give it 200 on a small map, 250 on a medium map, 300 on a large map.
With the perfect bonus in mind, I'd love to see a change to how the bone spawns on the map.
a) Dependant on the size of the map, spawn the bone within a set radius of the ghost room on the same floor, numbers as follows
Within 30m on a Large Map (within 15m if the ghost is a Goryo)
Within 20m on a Medium Map (within 10m if the ghost is a Goryo)
Within 10m on a Small Map (within 5m if the ghost is a Goryo)
This would make the bone a lot less of a chore to find (especially on larger maps), but far enough to give a little bit more of a challenge on higher difficulties where time is of the essence.
b) Within the room it spawns in, designate set locations where the bone can spawn (this ensures the bone doesn't get stuck in a chair, under a mat or hiding somewhere it shouldn't be.

Cursed Ritual Mask, and maybe Cursed Tiki figure with red glowing eye gemstones. I heard about haunted stories of Tiki god figures cursing people, like misfortune, bad luck, and nightmares. Shrunken Head is a good one too
Make it so if YOU block someone, they cant join your lobby. Not just if theres a blocked player, but if YOU blocked them, they shouldn't be able to join.
Some type of ghost that plays around the bone / dead bodies, like a ghoul
Finding the bone and interacting with it could change the way this ghost behaves, and if someone dies it could also change its behavior

I mean, yeah but people sometimes forget. Not everyone remembers to look lol. I know there's a mic at the bottom.... but like, on some games you can see who's talking. The mic systems are connected so they could be able to show who is talking that way

heres how it will work
along with the basic gamemodes there will be a Player-Ghost feature unlocked by reaching custom gamemode
there will be a button known as 'Player as ghost' and they will be able to select their type of ghost
(rewards will be disabled like in 'friendly ghost' and 'disable losing items and consumables')
they would be able to do things like hunt, interact, give evidence or event based on their ghost selection
the player-ghost would be forced to give off an evidence at a random time between every 5-15 minutes, making the game possible to beat
the ghost would also have the same traits as the selected ghost type, for example, the hantu selection would be faster in cold areas rather than warm
they also would not be able to kill the investigator as long as they are in a hiding spot, a spot that they are concealed from clear vision, quiet or if the ghost is not a Deogen
they would also only be able to hunt within the built-in limiters so like how ghosts cant hunt during the peacetimer and setup period
or how ghosts (excluding the demon) would be able to hunt >50 sanity
Death tolls would rise because you can't exactly loop your friend unless they're a slow ghost
I would like that if a map is reworked rather than just updated, that we get a choice to play old vs new of that map. Like with Grafton, a choice to select the farmhouse or the torn down version. This to help with people who either do not like the reworks or to give the option to go back and play the original.
I’d love to see a setting for hosts to be able to select some sort of “legacy” setting that lets us play old versions of maps in custom matches

Tricksters love to play with their victims. They enjoy scaring them and watching them run. But beware - if you overstay your welcome, they can become very vicious...
Strength:
If you stay too long nearby, Trickster will become angry and more eager to hunt.
Weakness:
Tricksters are more interested in playing with their victims than in ending their life. As long as they play along.
Evidences:
Ghost writing, ghost orbs, ultraviolet
Abilities:
Trickster base hunting sanity threshold is 20%. However, for every minute spent near the ghost, it is raised by 2%. Tricksters hunt duration is 20% longer.
Trickster can stalk their victims.
Special interactions:
Higher chance of drawing a Fool card when using Tarot cards.
Have a chance to lie when using Ouiji board.
Higher chance to do a fake hunt event.
Increased interaction chance and interaction range.
Higher chance of throwing placed video camera.
Slight chance of giving unique ghost writing evidence ("ha ha ha" written all over the pages).
Easter eggs in every map. They don't have to be hugely elaborate. But ones where you activate them by doing something would be more fun.
Customise the lobby:
Add some different areas and backgrounds for the lobby, like maybe the old phasmo lobby or the outside of a map or whatever else you can think of, or a choice to display certain trophies or favourite trophies, or favourite Id cards, and maybe a spot to list favourite maps, ghosts, item, cursed object etc
yeah lobby personalization sounds good, give it your own asthetic, i.e. i'd make everything black and have ash floating around in the air, low lighting, essentially like a "dark mode" lobby, people who join your lobby can see it all and enjoy it with you
Add a feature where you could link a console account to your PC account, or PC account to console account on Phasmophobia.

And when the ghost is huntin,g the door to the front of whatever buildling you're in, closes and locks. There is a lock symbol on it when you try to open it and you can't as long as the ghost is hunting.

it's confusing and frustrating for newer players because we think we CAN'T open it when in actuality we MIGHT be able to.

There should be a setting where Cruxifix skin could be changed to people who believe its againsts reglious beliefs, and where it could just look like a rod of some sort

This I like because I expect the rework may be more on the realistic side of things graphics wise, and while I would like more realistic house textures and player characters them ghosts are scary enough in the dark. Maybe something in the graphics settings were we can make the ghost look more or less scary like how grounded has arachnophobia mode where you can make the spiders look less scary.
Though one thing I would like to see also added in is equipment skins for all of our equipment, like when we get badges and prestige we can paint our equipment to match.

Change the bone to an "object of importance". (could be a keepsake, a document, a diary, a photo or something). Have a photo of the object, and a description of where it was left in the journal (more vague on smaller maps, less on larger maps). That way you have an idea of where to look for it from the beginning.
Cemetery/Mausoleum map
I've got a ghost idea, the Bodach, otherwise known as the bogeyman. This ghost would be the first exclusively male ghost, similar to banshee and dayan. It's evidence would be spirit box, ghost orbs, and ultraviolet. It would have unique mechanics such as being able to spawn a hunt at any chimney in a map, since they're known for lurking in them. It's weakness would be if it is shined with a flashlight, it will slow down a bit, but its strength is that it will be faster the next hunt. I just had this idea and wanted to see how we felt lol.

maybe dead players have an energy meter they can use trying to communicate through the spirit box etc
New evidence: REM Pod
REM pods are ghost hunting devices irl that generate a small electromagnetic field and loudly beep when the field is disturbed.
Ghosts with REM pod evidence have a chance to trigger the pod when they perform an EMF-generating action within a close enough proximity to the pod. Higher tiers have more range, are louder(but with a loudness cap so you don’t lose your hearing and/or real life sanity) , and are more likely to be triggered.
Idea for the mimic yall should make where the mimic can mimic other people like voices
One thing the game could use for times when it starts to get stale;
Minigames:
Seek: Start with no gear except a T1 firelight and a matchbox with 2 matches. 2 of each evidence item spawns randomly in the map. Find the gear to find the ghost.
Overtime: At the end of the round instead of returning to the lobby, the game loads you into the next map (random, but can be filtered by map size). Every 3 rounds you can leave or continue for another 3. Any gear not brought back to the van wall at the end of the round is lost. If you die, you can respawn when the next map loads. If you all die, the game ends, and you lose everything earned so far (risk-reward). Every time you continue, a small bonus is added to your game score at the end of the round.

Hear me out, kbm play for consoles, and an abandoned fire fire station, if the ghost is in the same room as a firetruck it will be able to trigger its horn and sirens. And you could use the pole to get your equipment quicker

Idea for the implementation of future ghost types:
Since new players would have to face 27+ ghost types at the start of the game, what if game modes automatically and randomly redacted a certain amount of ghosts, narrowing down the possibilities of the ghost?
this would mean that evidence isn't cancelled out, but it would also make some experiences more manageable and on higher difficulties, this can not be used.
It would make the implementation much easier as a cap of 30 or so ghosts would make more varied and enjoyable games that are not overwhelming to any player.

Monkey paw mode:
At the start of every round, each player gets 1 buff and 2 debuffs chosen at random.
Buffs can be stat boosts: Move speed +, sprint speed +, Duration between sprint reduced, reduced sanity drain, etc. Or unique buffs, like being able to see ghost footsteps when they move (would look like uv footprints but in a cyan colour, and steps would fade out every 2 seconds, wraith would still show no footsteps), carry one extra item, etc.
Debuffs would be the opposite of all the standard stat based buffs, plus some unique debuffs like, shaky hands (randomly drop held equipment every so often), electrical distortion (equipment randomly does the hunt distortion for a short period of time), Low battery (all flashlights produce less light and randomly flicker), heavy breathing (ghost can hear you when they are within 2 meters, so you cannot hide), etc.
So, I had an idea that came to me in a dream after work. I was quite sleep deprived, so I apologize for any nonsense. For moral and structural integrity though, I'm going to copy/paste the exact thing I sent my friend. Please enjoy, give feedback, call me an idiot, etc.
I’m about to go back to sleep for a couple more hours, but need to share this before I forget, because that’s how dreams work. I figured out how to make Phasmo better. Bring back name finding. But make it better. Difficulty decides how many first and last names are there to be found. Literally names written around the house. You have a book (different style for each location, but think official city records type thing) of previous residents of that location. For campgrounds, rosters of camp councilors and kids. For Nell’s Diner, maybe a list of employees and regular customers. Flesh it all out, give it some life by adding small details, like personality traits, favorite orders from Nell’s, etc etc. You find ghosts name by either finding small clues, OR you can even ask the ghost “What is your name?” Ghost can respond via Spirit Box, giving an evidence, Ouija Board, if it’s available, OR, when you ask, you hear the sound of footsteps running in a direction, and the slap of a hand, and the ghost will leave a handprint or fingerprint or something similar on its name written somewhere in the house. But it will only give one name, first or last. You still have to use the book to find full name. Finding its name is important. Add in an entire new ghost type whose ability gives it a chance to LIE when asked its name. Can be found out by asking its name multiple times, and its answer will change, similar to a Thaye’s age. Name it after some Celtic fae trickster spirit or some shit, I dunno.
Also, new map: Boat. Old fishing boat, yacht, cargo ship, etc. Put boat behaviors as randomish events.
Can we have new trophies for each of the new ghost types please? My completionist brain needs it

Custom night vision colors for teir 2+ cams (I heard ppl like the green over white and stuff so maybe having a Slider for it could give ppl more customization)
What if, after you die you could occasionally see the ghost. Almost like a hallucination it'd flicker in and out of view on rare occasions. Doesn't do much besides that, but it'd keep you on your non-existent toes after you die
I would love to see an option to add people to friends list from other platforms. It would be nice to keep some people as friends without exchanging my discord with them.

Similar to the crucifix, however it prevents the ghost from using its ability, Eventing or changing rooms:
T1: 4m radius
T2: 6m radius, different colour burn = different use (Red = Ability, Blue = Event, Green = Changing rooms)
T3: 8m radius, Different colour burns, 2 uses.
Sunny Meadows Update:
Add the upstairs to sunny meadows which is blocked off in the current game.
idk what could be there, maybe labs but would be a fun addition and lore expanding
Apoc 3 challenge will remain the same, so upper floor uncluded is purely for fun.
A new menu in the board with the maps where you can change what sunny meadows you will play (normal, restricted,(including the new upstairs wings) upstairs included)
Only issue is that the floor plan is extremely similar to the ground floor, but I imagine this floor is different in terms of rooms

Teams - We need 5 or 6 man teams because I hate meeting or playing with friends and I have to choose who I want to play with because if you have a good party going you don't want to ruin it just because you can't bring a friend in
Designated Rolls - I feel like designated rolls will cut all the fighting for / not having the equipment and end the duplicates. Because why do 3 people need cameras and everyone is catching videos and nobody have Salt for uv or getting voice recordings
Item Wheel - 3 things isn't enough I need at least 4 to 5 plus the lighter. Because to many times have I been trying to get a video of a hunting ghost and died trying to use my incense so I can go hide and get caught up with the wrong item and get killed because I had to mad dash through my items just to find what I need.
Apocalypse Teams - I feel like Apocalypse should have a team mode because I know alot of people who haven't done it (especially new players) because they need to get trained on how it works and what they need to do.
Lifelines from the other side - I feel like you should do more being a ghost to help your teammates because just standing there watching every happen either gets boring or people don't leave in time and drag out the match. 1 idea that I made up I really like is called "1 Missed Call" or "Last Call" wherever there's a phone on the map you can manipulate it only 1 time and you can get 10 to 12 seconds to call from the afterlife to take to your teammates 1 last time to give them a clue about the ghost that they may have not gonna or missed.
Just some of the things I think would make the game fun to play more
new item: monitoring laptop. an item that allows players to access the vans camera/sound review systems to remotely record sounds or audio from inside the house, while avoiding direct contact with a ghost
Add an rc that can monitor ghosts during hunts with minor electrical interferences. T1 would just be a standard rc with a camera poorly tapped onto it. T2 could be an rc with a built in camera and flashlight, and t3 could be a tactical rc with a higher quality camera and built in nightvision. Idk I just want to drive a car through sunny meadows
A bank map would be cool
I think it would be cool to give the characters a watch on their person that they can start a time for hunts. Maybe put the time in the top left or something once started.
A stopwatch is actually a really good idea. T1 digital watch, T2 stopwatch(custom pocket watch optional), T3 similiar but triggers automatically or maybe for different things like events
I may have posted this before (sry dont remember) but item idea is bag/booksack/crate that can hold 2/3/4 respectively. Handy for solo players
With almost every old map getting reworked I feel like instead of getting rid of the old maps there should be a second page of maps dedicated to the legacy maps so players can still play on them instead of just having them be gone forever.
Let us setup a "tour" of investigations to complete, rather than doing one investigation, going back to the lobby, then setting up a new one.
We can drive the truck from warehouse to house to house, dropping players off at different houses so they can do different investigations in parallel. need another crucifix? gotta wait for the truck driver to bring some more to you. finish your investigation and ready to move on to the next one? gotta call the truck driver to pick you up, grab your evidence, and take you to the next house. bring your contract/evidence back to the warehouse at any point to turn it in for the rewards.
obviously this would be a huge overhaul of the entire game + networking but it would be so cool to see

Add the ability to customize the lobby with posters, trinkets, and maybe even some new games. Make it so when you prestige your lobby doesn't get erased, allowing you to add onto it as you play. This could also give players that have reached prestige 20 something to spend their money on besides loadouts

To add onto the stress idea, maybe a "panic mode" where after certain requirements like: all your friends dying, or the ghost seeing you during a hunt you go through this panic which messes up your vision slightly and makes gives you temporary infinite sprint. You can also audibly hear your player character hyperventilating and the heartbeats are a lot quicker
Got a suggestion for a ghost, wanna see any goods or bads: The Ethiopian Zar. It will numerically drain sanity, leaching on the player with the most sanity, with the stopping points being 75% sanity, 50% sanity, 25% sanity, and lastly 0% sanity, it will linger to another person after a milestone is hit, and will continuously do so. If you smudge this ghost, it will have a normal smudge time, but it will not drain at sanity until after 90 seconds. Its ability is that it could make hallucinatory sounds to the person it's lingering to at the time, such as a fake interaction that only that user can hear, not see. Another thing is that this ghost will have higher odds to be female than male, as it goes in the stories.

consists of ground floor, plus 3-6ish floors of 5-10 "hotel rooms" each.
ground floor consists of a handful of rooms; lobby, office, kitchen, buffet area, bathrooms, etc.
hotel rooms are each two seperate rooms consisting of the actual room (with tv, light, lamp), and a bathroom (with faucet and shower), and its own closet to hide in.
room floors have a "hallway" room. (and potentially an "ice/vending machine" room.)
potential extras:
an "elevator" that will move you between floors quicker than taking the stairs. tied to the breaker: if the breaker shuts off, it will open to whatever floor it's on at that moment, and will not be usable until the breaker is re-enabled.
i would donate my own work and free time to make this map a reality, man 😭 i'm so surprised that a game about ghosts and haunted locations has a school before a hotel
A ghost that imitates other players by clipping recordings of their mic.
They could pick one player in the lobby to 'hallucinate' where they cant see other players, but rather the ghost tries to imitate them and throw off the hallucinatee. They make the hallucinatee see fake players that aren't actually there
A new ghost type "The lovers"
At the beginning of the round this ghost would select a primary model. Depending on the name, the primary ghost is faster than normal and does more interactions. The catch is that there's a secondary ghost as well that's slower than normal and does less interactions. The big thing is that they hunt at the same time. So you'll be chased by two ghosts during a hunt. Sounds a lot like the twins but it's different I swear!
To add onto this, the ghosts could do interactions together, and their evidence would be dots, freezing, and spirit box. You could see either ghost with dots.
What if…. You see BOTH or what if they BOTH do spirit box at the same time that ee be death

Real. Like imagine uh…. EMF level 10 from them if they interact at the same time. That would be insane, but what would be cooler is like a ghost event where they like split into two or combine into one that could be their modes like DEADLY if in split and not as deadly if combined (except a major speed boost). And maybe a whole new evidence for new ghosts like uh….. (besides emf 10 that would be a event) but like (my opinion what if there were new tier 4 items) for all ghosts but…… tier 4 have less chance to make this ghost split. (Kinda like obambo) crucifix can make em split but tier 4 would have way less chance for that and as you said two ghosts hunting at the same time would only happen if they split. (TLDR: CHAOS) the new evidence would be (like uh… super warm temps) above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yeah there're a lot of opportunities to make some really interesting ghosts, I like the suggestion of a really hot room being the ghost room. It'd be nice if kinetic actually read some of these from time to time,

But I think one thing that would really help the games atmosphere would be wind/air flow (doesn't have to be a simulation, just something that feels right).
In the game whenever you hear something, you always know it's the ghost. I think having a bit of uncertainty would help give a bit more immersion.
Having air be able to move things like curtains, window frames, certain doors and objects that make sense (especially in windy or stormy weather) would really add to the atmosphere of the game (especially on the old rundown maps where having things slam in the wind would be creepy).
The easy way to tell if it was wind or the ghost would be to check with EMF. If it was wind, it wouldn't give off an EMF signal.
Have the ability to close windows to the house as well, like doors (and have them be open/closed by default based off difficulty). Doors/windows that are fully closed would not be affected by air flow (as if held by the latch). So they wouldn't be affected all the time.
Add achievements for discovering the Dayan, Obambo, and Gallu as well as for completing the challenges (Lighthouse Keeper, Ranger Challenge, Farmhouse Fieldwork, etc.)

As the designated Van Guy™ who mans the video cameras I think it'd be nice if while in the camera I could flick through the sanity/EMF/map screens as well as the camera that way I can check on my fellow players' sanity/activity levels/location of Players or the power box really quick without having to disengage from the cameras, walk away from the screens to check sanity/EMF/map, and then walk back to reengage with the cameras
Make it to where you can hear the ghosts footsteps in the house. The sounds may or may not be coming from the correct room so it can throw you off as to where its really at.

May be immediately tossed in the "no" pile, but another request for more players, even if it's restricted to certain maps or difficulty levels for balance. Dev time is being devoted to building in custom difficulty and scaling down big maps to get more traction with players, when finding a way to accommodate 1-2 more player slots would work wonders for player engagement and retention. I just wanna enjoy the game with 4 friends 🥲

add a ghost baddies
Historical townsite. Medium map. Saloon, general store, stables, graveyard, stockade, little school, church, etc. Tons of variety with the ghost rooms being mostly separate physical locations.
A spooky hiking trail could be a neat map. An old overgrown trail with twisted trees, and the "rooms" would be the sections between track markers. The map would be an outer loop with some connecting paths in between. At one point there would be a cliff with a makeshift grave overlooking water (ocean or lake). You would enter via a gate like the camp maps.
Can we get teenage ghost sizes in the coming future. It’s weird having a teenage ghost with a child’s body. I would also love more cursed items and the ability to let dead teammates do more than just walk around and grab an object

I would enjoy the edition of an SLS camera. The SLS (Structured Light Sensor) camera is a specialized ghost hunting tool, typically a modified Kinect sensor, that projects an infrared dot pattern to map and display invisible humanoid shapes as glowing stick-figure skeletons on its screen, even in complete darkness.
In Phasmophobia, it would be an excellent addition, enabling players to detect and track the ghost's position and movements from a safe distance without triggering interactions prematurely, making room-finding faster, hunts more strategic, and overall gameplay. This is somewhat similar to D.O.T.S but would still be neat.
I could be wrong about anything, so if anyone has any counter points to this, please feel free to say.

I think mares turning off things with screens make sense thematically, but also helps with some of the challenges of some map playability. Throwing a remote into a basement can be really clutch.
Really listen closely with players in regards to playability. Even in terms of visibility with filters.
I kinda get that isn't really thematic. However, I feel like how players enjoy the game kinda changes as they progress. For a good bit of time, there's a LOT of focus on the horror and scary elements of the game, however, it is the strategy/detective/problem solving part of the game that keeps players around for thousands of hours. I think some maps are neglected because it doesn't really cater to the more experienced demographic.
Give some more incentive/goals to the more experienced players. As I said before, I feel that the way players enjoy/engage with the game changes based on how experienced of a player they are. I feel that all aspects need to be considered.
I think the skill ceiling needs to be raised by a lot. I don't mean making the game harder as is on normal difficulties, but rather add options to make games harder than current apoc3, while still being enjoyable.
I would love to see some more nuances in ghost behavior. This is a fairly general suggestion, but a specific example may be to tweak some event/interaction/roam/whatever frequencies slightly. Like how a banshee is more likely to do singing ghost events. It'd be cool to see each ghost to give a kind of "vibe", where you can't confirm a ghost, but may give a subtle clue.
For new players. I feel like new players struggle with sanity and knowing when ghosts can hunt. I feel like there should be some kind of clue that standing in lit rooms don't drain much sanity, and that ghosts will only hunt when your sanity is lower.

IDEAS FOR NEW CURSES OBJECTS:
HOURGLASS: Distorts time for the ghost or the player. When using the object, the ghost can move very fast or very slow. It could also randomly change the speed of other players.
GHOSTLY DUST: When sprinkled around the ghost's room, the ghost can be seen wandering. Pro: Videos and photos of the ghost can be taken. Disadvantage: It could initiate an attack while in this state.
LLORONA'S TEARS: A bottle containing "Llorona's" tears that emits a scream. It is used in hunts to stop the ghost's attack. The scream deafens all nearby players until the next hunt ends and reduces their sanity to zero. The ghost can immediately change rooms and attack after 30 seconds.
Suggestion for multiplayer game mode: Ghostly fun
Basically at random different players are chosen to be the ghost, they get to choose the ghost type, the room, the cursed object, their goal is to kill the other players or ensure they don't know the ghost type, whilst the other players try and go through normally to get the ghost type

people have probably already suggested this, but i think it would be awesome to have the ability to play legacy versions of maps using some kind of setting or maybe an alternate version of the map when selecting it (wouldn't be the main one ofc).
i say this mainly because of the new coming tanglewood rework, i believe a lot of people won't be happy with it's rework and just want to keep the current tanglewood. i've already seen some backlash myself towards the idea of a rework, so i think this would be a nice middle-ground.
also it's just... more content. in general. with no extra cost. the maps already exist in-game, so just make them accessible to give the community more maps to play.
(i'm mainly speaking about tanglewood here, but being able to play the old asylum would be really cool. i somehow believe people would be willing to downpatch to play old tanglewood and that's not really something you want as a game studio.)

More realism, for example. When a plate is thrown it breaks. When a book is tossed it opens. When a light is broken there's glass on the ground. Stuff like that would be cool to see
I feel like yokai should get faster during hunts like 2.25 if someone speaks near to the yokai, and keep the 2.5 electronic radius detection but like a 10 meters long radius for voices so the yokai can be way more dangerous ghost than he already is, so you need to be extremely quiet against a yokai and turn talkimg in voice chat into a deadly mechanic
And buff mare's hunt sanity rate in the dark to 70 or even higher so it would be easier to identify on 0 evidence so mare ability to turn off the lights will be way more effective for the ghost to attack you and actually kill you quickly, like imagine the mare having a speed boost on dark rooms and having 80-90 chance to hunt inside a dark room, or another mare ability idea is like, imagine if You hide on a dark room during a hunt the mare can actually see where you are hiding like a deo but only inside the dark

Some cursed item ideas I came up with in a fly
Frog eyes:
-A jar of preserved frog eyes, possibly used to allow consumers to see the dead
-Upon consumption, causes the user to lose 25% sanity and temporarily prevents them from seeing the ghost during events and hunts as well as using sanity pills
-Upon consumption, causes the player to see the ghost roam around in addition to having the ghost room emit an eerie light
-Has four uses
-Attempting to consume with less than 25% sanity or colliding with the ghost under the eye’s effects will trigger a cursed hunt
Memento Skull:
-A skull beautifully decorated with iron and gold. It gives off an eerie feel and cold to touch
-Has three uses
-Upon use, the skull will drop and temporarily become unusable. The ghost becomes drawn to the player that used it and will roam around that player more often for a set time
-Being around the ghost while the skull is unusable will drain the player’s sanity by 2% every five seconds and cause player vision to be hindered
-Attempting a ghost event or hunt will instead trigger a cursed hunt
How about adding a scare feature or mode where if you turned dead that you have the ability to scare your team but at the same time - its not an influence for finding the ghost. Example: there are 3 persons in this game. one died. the other two have to find the ghost still- but now since one has died he has 2 oe 3 diffrent skills in order to scare the team and make them jump in ceratain situation ( to prevent the spam you could add a timer here)... maybe even make the game more darker somehow? so add more jumpscares and stuff

So the announcement got me thinking. What if they added an abandoned train station. A new big map.
Basically there is a big station with four tracks. Two has a train on them and the other two are empty. There are three floors and an elevator that doesn't work.

If you complete the map a few times on a very hard mode you get a train conductor hat.
This in general would be so nice to see and with it a new big map that people will actually enjoy since there can be so many small and big rooms in it. And also very many objects lying around which makes it Harder to escape the deadly ghosts!

i got this idea after looking at the tanglewood drive update picture. how about a train parked at a station and have the train cars be haunted with a hidden key you have to find in order to get into the train station itself, kind of like camp woodwind map where you have to find a key to get into the lodge.
Just a few ideas I thought recently. I'm sure some have probably been suggested before, but just wanted to add a little detail for the fun of it.
I wish badges that are just other badge but better/foil would replace the standard ones like they used to, the menu feels cluttered with so many dupes. Maybe clicking on an equipped foil could equip the standard? could have an identical or similar badge darkened and peeking from behind it if there needs to be visual clarity. I wouldn't want this to apply to similar badges like the apocalypse ones, but for drops and events (MAYBE 11+ prestige badges too? but those animated ones have more flair so I could see them staying separate if this happened) it would just be nice to clean it up a little
I think your Ayakashi ghost would be interesting if them interacting with a water source (turning on a tap/shower) did something (maybe affect hunt time or hunt sanity %). And maybe even have a unique ability (with a low chance) to turn the tap on without creating dirty water.
yeah definitely wouldn't be opposed to any of that 😛 Though I think Wendigo might be the new "revenant" where you just gtfo as soon as you know what it is lol. though that being said, as is, Ayakashi would be a menace in Nell's diner. I think you're pretty much always close to a water source except for maybe in the diner booths
but for sure a truck stop map would be my absolute favorite. my dad has been a trucker for 30+ years and I used to go with him all the time. I've probably been to easily 100 different truck stops and they're such a joy to go to. they literally have everything
Remove the enable crossplay setting and the tiny warning thats shows under the room browser title. Disabling crossplay brings the population down to ~3 people in all regions and you cant even play any servers at all. It just doesnt seem necessary.

I wish that after you died, you could communicate with the living and do everything a ghost can. Foe example: You've just died and your teammate has a spirit box, if your in the same room as then you can communicate with them using the spirit box. You should also be able to do light switches and the fuse box so your not doing nothing after death.
Another good way to implement this would be: Using dots. Imagine your friend has just died and and you hear him on the spirit box saying "look at this", you can't see what he's looking at so you go and get dots and the player model appears. To distinguish player dots and ghost dots you could have the player dots be alot more faded and harder to see.
Just a suggestion, would be cool to see in game but also very hard.

Ayakashi at 3m is way too powerful, especially at 15m range. Especially considering that the room has to be near water, meaning it’ll often be very, very fast.
Succubus/Incubus are cool but they shouldn’t have the same evidence. Sometimes no one in the group will have a male or female model, making it difficult to test for.
Wendigo is hella cool, I like the idea of being fueled by death. I would make it a slow ghost by default though. Knowing where all the players are is OP with regular speed, and the only reason why it’s fine with Deo is because Deos are easy to escape from. Wendigo would be very hard to escape from.
Edit: if you make the Succubus and Incubus strict to their own ghost model (like how Banshees are only female), same evidence could work. Even in solo runs/runs with only male/female player models.

And it also falls in line with the usual trope of the devs adding references to specific locations (usually shown location, town, and state) in previous maps or reworks of maps. Like how Nell's Diner was referenced as a location in Tucson, Arizona in a newspaper ad in the Bleasedale rework, or how Maple Lodge Campsite has a map that shows Point Hope nearby
i think it would be tuff is phasmo was a steam workshop game, like i get not doign it cus some of the workshops would make the game not fun and unplayable but just for the maps, like how many people want a chernobyl map, and others

I feel like we should have a only male ghost as we have 2 female ones and my idea on how it works is it is called like the headless or the horseman (inspired by headless horseman) and when you take a photo only in the photo it doesnt have a head
I’ve heard suggestions like these a lot, and while they’re good, they tamper way too much with figuring out what ghost it is.
Dead player turns on breaker - alive players will cross off Hantu.
Dead players troll by playing soundboard of default spirit box responses - alive players circle spirit box.
Dead players turn on light switch - alive players will cross off Mare. Dead players could also troll by faking Mare ability.
The list goes on. Trust me when I say that I wish dead players could do cool shit like this, but it just wouldn’t work.
This might be a bit convoluted, but what if the ghost could make a timed coloured mist (based on player colour) that projects off of the cursor. That way they could show people the ghost room (if it moved). They could use it to "circle" a piece of evidence equipment. Or even to show the way to safety during a hunt. The coloured mist would be translucent, have a quick decay, a maximum time and a cooldown, so it is not disruptive.
When they inevitably remake the ghost models, I want them to get creative with their designs. These are basically demons we're up against so I feel like their look should convey that. Maybe one of them has elongated fingers and is incredibly thin. Or one just looks like a demon from bible. They're so many different ways they could go about it and I look forward to seeing the final product

When closet hiding spots are blocked on the newer maps, they simply can't be opened and have a lock symbol. I think it'd be more interesting, and maybe a bit smoother for immersion (rather than there being a lot of randomly locked closets), if the space were full of boxes or shelves and whatnot, like they were on the older maps. However, removing the doors to these physically blocked spots would help prevent sneaky players from trying to hide there anyway. From a gameplay perspective, players fleeing from a ghost would also be able to see ahead of time if that specific closet is blocked because there would be no doors, making the boxes easily visible. Having this visual distinction would make it easier for new players to recognize when a hiding spot is blocked per game settings and not because there's an interaction needing to be performed there, such as doors requiring keys, like exit doors and the Point Hope easter egg.

I wonder if stamina items would be good. Like Tier I energy items would be caffeinated gum, Tier II would be energy bars, and Tier III would be energy drinks. The benefit is that it would replenish your stamina, helping you escape a ghost and or get out of the house before it hunts but the trade off would be it takes up a slot in your inventory

I would really like a toggle option for how your footsteps sound outside on concrete, because Nell's Diner footsteps sounds are just suffering unto my ears, and the Tanglewood ones aren't great as far as volume goes. I really don't need to sound like I'm wearing hard-soled shoes everywhere, ideally. I would love an option to pick what footfalls sound like outside.
I wouldn't be surprised if they pop in and have a look every now and then. I think it's more to do with managing expectations of the people posting in here. Even if an idea is well liked, they don't want the pressure to implement it.

Light sources wouldn't end up useless, I just want a few dim points of orientation so in combination with map knowledge you would be able to not pretty much HAVE to have a flashlight take up 1/3 inv slots any time you want to move around

It’d be super cool if a cursed item - such as Ouija Board - would have a small chance of possession, causing a cursed hunt, where the possessed instantly dies. Their body is then used as the ghost model for the hunt, so it’ll be your own friend chasing you down, and once the hunt is over, their body falls to the ground. Future hunts would then return to normal ghost model.

Instead of the bone, have a random object on the map that responds to one of the evidence items, randomly determined every time a match starts. The item can be any ghost-throwable item. For example, a shoe that gives off EMF 3, or a photo frame that responds to UV, or a book that gives off a signal detectable by sound recorder or para-mic, or a freezing pot; the object is randomly determined each match along with the detectable tool. Once found, taking the object back to the van and leaving with it gives a reward. Perhaps the object can be deposited in a bin, like an ectoplasmic-contaminated object that must be removed from the site.
Can we get like a short reasoning as to why we are investigating? You know like how we would have a piece of paper as to why we never encounter the homeowners.

Ghost idea, Vampire
Knows your location at all times, moves at a fixed speed of 1.0m/s. Has LoS speed buildup. Incense has a lowered effect.
Weakness:
It hates salt.
Upon stepping in salt, it must stand completely still for 3 seconds as it rapidly counts the amount of grains of salt on the ground.
Tier 2 salt increases it to 5 seconds, and tier 3 salt increases it to 6 seconds (because it's more salt, and the vampire has to count longer)

Bonus points if it has a little voice line of him missing one and counting oher

personally i would suggest you devs make the Banshee Focus Male Player Avatar. its in their folklore as demonic/ghostly being to target men because they got abused by them or killed. that way female player avatar are immune but it also means you gotta have a rounded party to be better thus makes the social aspect of this co op more in depth.

as for another idea... maybe a Kitsune? a trickster that can mimic other ghost but he chnages evidences he makes like... if he mimics a mimics... it has its 3 main evidence and orbs but leaves one of the 3 main one on top that that Kitsune has. pattner would be erractic and change type of entity it mimics after each 3 minutes?

I guess this was already suggested before, but two new types of evidence I'd love to see are:
Ectoplasm (classic ghost material, NOT UV prints) - I thought of a way how to make a new type of "prints" that you could find that could be different enough from UV prints to not be redundant in terms of gameplay - ectoplasm would use the logistics of UV Prints but in the form of a goo on the walls or objects or ground, that would NOT be visible with UV light, but instead through night vision camera only (would glow in the dark, but only on the camera). This would give cameras even more usage beyond just looking for Ghost Orbs and having a good camera screen would be more important than ever.
Heat signature - Could be visible only through a new equipment - Heat vision/camera that would would have a different mode from night vision and would instead mark heat signatures of furniture and people on the screen, and the ghosts could produce a heat signature as well, similarly to their DOTS forms, etc.. if you see a humanoid-shaped heat signature on the camera in front of you, then that's the ghost evidence, be it during jumpscare events, or just randomly like when they walk through DOTS

A ghost event where a ghost would come out of a tv similar to the ring, have it only trigger when some is in a room with a tv have the ghost crawl out of the tv and start a ghost hunt
More audio options - Options to lower sound of weather, objects, ambience, and ghost noises. Yes people could turn it down to make it less scary but that's they're choice 🤷 . Also helps if some stuff is too loud over others.
Character customization - pick your own skin shade, hair colour, hair style, can pretty much be the stuff we have now but you can piece it all together yourself. Would be nicer to get some more avatars tho
truck customization - different colours/styles (ik most are like living in vans so ignore the furniture, just take the style), outside decals, host can put fav photos up either on van walls or in the lobby
Photosensitivity option - flashing lights are disabled or altered, if lights need to flicker it can be a scale where the person can make it more mild or there's a caption either over the lights or at the top of the screen that's big and states the lights are flashing
subtitles for audio - This would just be a caption at the bottom right similar to minecraft that would just state anything audio wise that is happening. For example "Footsteps" "Ghost mumbles" "Door creaking" "Light switch flicked", etc.
You can switch items by using number keys 1 2 3 and 4. Scroll and using q and e is quite annoying and not that efficient
Rare event of any ghosts that can become aggressive and are in an aggressive state (Spirit, obambo, gallu) can rip off a door, would be funny and helps as a behaviour evidence. It can be an even more rare event that can give you a badge if it rips off the front door, but that can only be done in big maps (large and possible some medium if they're on the bigger side) because small maps it would be too good.
Dead players can speak through spirit box - self explanatory, it is helpful.
Map ideas - Haunted broken train, ship, power plant, mall/shopping centre that can also be split like sunny meadows into halves, mansion, military base, emergency service stations, smaller schools.
Or just make a completely separate headgear for lights, keeping the original headgear as photo/video

Efreet - Evil spirits closely tied to primordial fire, they turn it from source of respit into another weapon against you.
Ability: Any source of fire in their favourite room (candles etc.) will actually drain your sanity instead of upkeeping it and are faster around fire during hunts.
Weakness: They never blow off active candles, fireplaces, etc which makes them easier to be recognized.

Strigoi - Restless souls coming back from their grave who are thought to be able to turn themselves into a beast or turn themselves invisible at will. They are hungry for human blood and possibly served as inspiration for literal origin of vampires.
Ability: Strigoi is near invisible and blips much slower if +10 meters from nearest player. It also doesn't show itself on taken photos and doesn't disrupt salt.
Weakness: They cannot burn down Crucifix and it slows them down during hunts.

Ghost Suggestion: Vanpri (Affectionately called Van Princess)
Concept
A mischievous ghost sent by the spirit world to sabotage investigators… from the truck.
Lore
After years of investigators evicting ghosts from their homes, the spirit world has finally responded. They sent one of their “brightest” ghosts to interfere with investigations directly.
Unique Traits
Still haunts inside the location like a normal ghost.
During hunts, it appears as the last player who spoke in voice chat.
Has a very fast flicker rate during hunts.
Cannot be seen on video cameras.
Truck Mischief
25% chance to burn unused smudge sticks in the truck.
25% chance to break unused equipment.
May “borrow” equipment and place it randomly somewhere in the location.
How to Identify
Investigators noticing equipment sabotage in the truck or a ghost that mimics the last person who spoke may be dealing with a Vanpri.
Phasmophobia on MacOS
as much as it sounds like a fun concept it would be too easy to tell that it is Vanpri, too easy. You really need one hunt to tell it is Vanpri when a player will run towards you while blinking. The same goes for equipment sabotage

Not sure if anyone thought of this but what about a new evidence type that also allows an opportunity for new ghosts, one example i have is flowers. If flowers wilt or die it can be evidence that can rule out another ghost. tier 1 is a single flower, tier 2 is a bouquet of flowers, and tier 3 is a pot of flowers. each one increasing in area that the ghost can trigger it. tier 1 is small, tier 2 is medium, tier 3 is large.
Hi, I have a request regarding the new Tanglewood Rework. I really like it, the only thing that I really, really, dislike is the constant dog barking in the background. I would like to ask if it could be changed to be way less frequent, maybe just an occasional barking every two minutes or so. Because after two rounds on this map max it gets on my nerves so much I need to play another map ^^

Maybe a weird one... what if the crucifix actively held back a demon. As in during a hunt for the entire usage of the crucifix one could go out during a hunt and stop the demon from said hunt... with a crucifix in their hands. With the costs ofcourse being the entire crucifix for balance reasons. Still gives the demon a new layer unlike how many of the newer ghosts are in a sense a worse and scarier demon

I’m confused about Tengu. Is it supposed to be a cold ghost or a hot ghost? And if it’s a hot ghost, it would be pretty slow in its own room. Also I’m not sure how it makes sense for him to have freezing temps
Strigoi just feels like a worse Moroi. Also one thing that I’ve been noting is that you call changing rooms a weakness, but all it does is hinder the players. Especially with the incense thing. What if you have an objective to cleanse the area, or what if a teammate panic uses it in a fake hunt? Boom, new room. Not a big deal in smaller maps, but it’s a massive deal in huge maps.
• Perhaps an alternative weakness could be that, while incensed outside of a hunt, it is bound to its favourite room, unable to leave, and its favourite room cannot change.
As for Blood: I like the idea, but honestly, swap the strengths and weaknesses. Not detecting motion sensor is like Wraith not stepping in salt - it’s a dead giveaway, with the only downside being objectives that involve motion sensor. Whereas for the changing rooms, I’ve already explained why that’s a strength
Dibbuk just sounds like a reverse Revenant, the problem with that is, similar to Deogen, it’s super easy to tell. However - Deogen and Revenant make this up by being dangerous. Revenants are the fastest ghost in the game, so much that there’s an achievement for escaping it, and Deogens are impossible to hide from.
• Dibbuk is still a solid ghost idea, it just needs an additional strength or trait that would make it dangerous. I’m not sure what Dibbuks are in real life, but a ghost that could slow down players that are in LoS would be cool (again, might not fit your vision or what Dibbuks are, but you get the jist of adding a little something to the Dibbuk).

idk if others have made this suggestion but was talking with a irish friend and i made a fun idea which would be intersting we randomly came up with what if only the target player could hear the banshee bc it kinder add up to the irl lore of the banshee as you only hear it if your going to flatline so to say

Hmm. An abandoned WWII or Cold War era military base or airfield sounds like an interesting concept. This also made me think of two other places that have potential: A small old abandoned airport or an airplane graveyard. The abandoned airport would have a control tower, one or two hangers, and one terminal with a baggage check-in, a baggage handling area, a baggage claim, one store, one cafe, and two gates with waiting areas. The airplane graveyard would be a large map with airplanes of varying sizes, eras, and types. If you look up pictures of the Mojave Air and Space Port, you’ll get what I’m thinking about. To search for the ghost, you would have to look through dirt roads, broken up fuselages, and entire airplanes

New ghost concept with a new type of evidence and new ghost event only for ghosts that have an evidence of EMF 5
Description: Egregore's are the culmination of human fear and belief in the paranormal. Typically possessing the characteristics of what people believe is in the location. (Side note: Egregores would be similar to the mimic, but they can only copy one Ghost type from the start of the game.)
While they tend not to have a physical form, they sometimes manifest as what is said to resides in the location. (Side note 2: During chase, it will be more difficult to see as it takes a lot of energy to manifest itself. Ghost events will typically be mist form and a new type of event where EMF 5 is found all around the house for about 30 seconds. Full body apparition events will be close to impossible when dealing with an egregore)
Strenghts: Egregores thrive on fear and will drain sanity faster. (Sidenote 3: Ghost events will absolutely DRAIN sanity much faster than usual)
Weaknesses: (simial to the Mare) Egregores prefer darkness to scare their victims. Turning on lights around the location will decrease its total activity (Sidenote 3: The egregore can turns off all lights around a location without flipping the breaker)

I think it would be a bit obvious though? This feels like two ghosts in one. Heck, even three. Blinks and drains sanity like a Phantom, loves airballs like a Shade, hates light like a Mare, AND mimics like a Mimic?
All that above is enough to make it obvious it’s an Egregore, but adding his two abilities on top of that (EMF 5 everywhere and power outage) is gonna make him SUPER obvious what ghost it is.
Although that kind of makes him feel like a boss fight… the problem is that the Egregore is way more complex and dangerous than other ghosts. Yurei’s only thing is a cool way to open a door. Spirit’s only thing is a hatred for incense. Even ghosts as complex as the Phantom have only three abilities, not the half dozen the Egregore has (Phantom abilities/traits being not showing up on cameras, harder to see, and drain sanity).
Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely love this idea, it just feels like Egregore should be split into two ghosts (like a ghost that causes power outages, causing EMF readings everywhere which have a chance of EMF 5)

There should be a ghost called a Vex
Evidence: EMF 5, Freezing Temperatures, Ghost Orbs
The vex would make you see things that aren't there. Its essentially a ghost that causes hallucinations. The more hallucinations you see, the lower your sanity drops. You may be thinking, "These are literally just ghost events," but you'd be wrong. First of all, they would last like a minute to 2 minutes at a time. Not only that, they will simulate hunts, but it isn't actually hunted, to maybe trick you into thinking it's a demon or some other ghost that hunts at high sanity. Also, in multi-player, you would be the only one that sees a certain one. It can also make you see other players doing stuff, in multiplayer. For example, you could see your friend carrying a smudge, and you could ask him for it. Your friend may respond, "We don't have any smudges, bro." That would be a type of hallucination. Idk, I just thought of this and thought it was a cool concept.
Ts like an overpowered mimic
It doesnt mimic the other ghosts tho. It just makes you see stuff that isn't there. Not necessarily specific ghost traits

What’s nice about Phasmo is that the only thing that would need to be done to accommodate that many players is the gear, which you already mentioned. Since the players can’t kill the ghost, it’s not like Lethal Company where more players = entities are less dangerous. The ghost is still equally dangerous.
It’d probably be super fun having 8 people in the investigation area, and slowly people start disappearing, and everyone thinks it’s just someone hiding in a closet but then it’s only one player left or something

One thing about suggesting new ghosts, is you don't want to make ghosts that are mechanically similar to existing ones. Even if they are inversed. I did like the water reactive one someone suggested a while ago. That one seemed neat. You also gotta make the ghost able to be indentified in a zero evidence environment. But I don't think it's a bad thing to suggest new ghost ideas. An interesting enough ghost could replace an existing one, or a mechanic could be added to an existing one.
Add an equipment warehouse; it will be in the lobby, and the lobby can be expanded for the warehouse. Since the equipment in the lobby display cases cannot be touched, what is it for? I think everything is logical here.

You're right. But you can make ghosts the opposite of others. Since the mechanic is still a bit in the game. And it's better not to create new ghosts until version 2.0 comes out. To be clear, I wasn't specifically referencing your ghost suggestion. I've seen a few on here that are just straight inverses of existing ghosts, but I don't want to call anyone out on it. I just want to say that if people are thinking of new ghosts, that they should try to think of something mechanically unique, to keep the ghosts interesting. But also not too obvious so that people still have to think about the ghost a bit.
A ghost idea I have that could be fun is a fast ghost that knows where you are, like the deogen. But it slows down rapidly in light until it runs out of speed, and stops. Then it turns into a ghost ball, warps to another dark part of the map, changes back into ghost form and continues hunting from there. To balance it so you can't just line up flashlights and cripple it. It would have the ability to turn off a light source every second including electronics and light switches during the hunt. So the way to deal with it, is you have to keep moving while keeping your flashlights or lanterns on it during the hunt, and keep them lit or turned on, as the ghost will be turning them off/extinguishing them constantly. It would be a scary ghost to deal with.
Ghost type suggestion.
Hoax. Just as it sounds. The team receives a call and the ghost isn't real. It is made to confuse the players. Does not show any evidence whatsoever and does not hunt. Assuming most the people seeing this are more experienced, after 3 minutes with no hunt, that would conclude the investigation. I simply thought of this to ragebait or annoy the player after seeing my friends play it for a bit.
A false investigation would only work if we had enough environmental effects in the game to make people think that there might be a ghost. Once you sweep the house, get nothing and then don't find an obvious ghost room. Its gonna be obvious there's no ghost. It's also a waste of time, and what kind of rewards are you going to get for it? Can't just waste the players time and then give them nothing for it. That won't make people want to play the game.
Ghost idea: Acedia
One of the seven deadly sins is Acedia/Sloth, which in a nutshell is peak laziness.
The Acedia has the following attributes:
• Hunts at 40% sanity
• Speed of 0.8m/s
• Evidence are Freezing Temps, Ghost Orbs and EMF 5
STRENGTH(S)
Depressingly influences it’s targets, slowing them down until the Acedia can catch up to them.
Does interactions and events less often.
WEAKNESS
Incense not only has a longer duration on the Acedia, but prevents it from slowing down its targets, allowing the players to escape.
IN-DEPTH ABILITY EXPLANATION
The Acedia is a slow-moving ghost, too lazy to go faster, too lazy to prove its existence. It’s so lazy that it doesn’t bother running to its victims - instead, it slows down its victims for an easier time.
The Acedia has a unique LoS ability which allows it to use its LoS ability on all visible targets that have LoS. I’m not sure what the default player speed is, but when they are targeted by the Acedia, their speed is slowed to 0.6m/s, 0.2 slower than the Acedia. The effect lasts for 2 seconds after LoS is broken, but goes away after that.
Incense lasts for +50% the duration, and during the duration, the ability above deactivates, meaning after 2 seconds, the players have a chance to flee or hide.
Additionally, the Acedia has a smaller ability to randomly cause EMF readings in the ghost room that have no source, similar to a Wraith’s teleportation. This ability is different from an interaction or event because Acedias don’t necessarily do less abilities, but they do less interactions/events, making it harder to find EMF 5. This smaller ability makes up for that, giving the players an easier time finding EMF 5.
The Acedia is an obvious ghost. One hunt will immediately reveal what it is. But it’s kinda like the Revenant - it’s not a matter of figuring out what the ghost is. It’s a matter of escaping with that information.
I have another ghost idea, but this one might be a little too much for phasmo. This ghost does not stay in the ghost room, it wanders constantly. It also has a low chance of interacting making it difficult to gather evidence. What it does however, is spawn a unique cursed item in the map at a rate of 1 every minute within a radius of where it currently is. Depending on map size, the ghost will hunt when a certain number of these items are in the map at once. These items would have a slight sound to them when you are close by, to make them more obvious that they are important. You can interact with these items to despawn them, to make the map safer. But once the item limit has been reached, the ghost will attempt to hunt (crucifix and smudging the ghost before the hunt, can still delay the hunt, if in range). Once it starts the hunt, the hunt will continue until one of the items have been destroyed. During the hunt the items will glow red. When the item is destroyed the hunt ends instantly. The ghost cannot spawn one of the items when it is hunting. This ghost might be a little easy to figure out. But if you dont, and just assume it's a wandering ghost and find out too late, it could be trouble.
Feels too different from base Phasmo, almost feels like a mini-game. It would be cool if this was an event or something.
Tweaked it a little. But yeah, it is definitely a bit unique.

With some friends we've been messing with some challenges on the game, some inspired by streamers.
It could be nice to have a toggle option in the contract settings to allow us to remove the deletion limit of collected media, I'm not sure on how much to put on the multiplier as the impact of it can vary from players but I'd consider at least -0.5x ?

Description:
This ghost is the embodiment of eternal mourning and rage. Legends say she is doomed to search for her children forever, and woe betide anyone who hears her cries at the water's edge.
Opportunities and abilities -
Hunt -
When patrolling normally, her behavior is similar to standard ghosts, but she is less noticeable and makes less noise (she throws objects less often).
When at least one sink is turned on, Llorona speeds up and knows where the player (lile Deogen) is and runs towards him if he is in the room with the sink and the adjacent rooms, until he turns off the sink (Llorona does not slow down, like Deogen if she managed to run up).
Weakness -
Incense (if lit in front of her) and salt (if stepped on) completely remove Llorona's sprint ability and put her into a patrol state FOR THIS HUNT, even if the faucet is on.
Сharacteristics -
Speed - 1.7 m/s during normal patrolling and 2.5 m/s if at least one sink is working.
Sanity for hunting - 50% under normal conditions and from 0% to 100% under the condition of electrical appliances in a room with a sink.
Evidence -
P.S. I specifically designed a ghost that has abilities similar to other ghosts, but which are easy enough to recognize after just one hunt, I made it less obvious.
New way to tell what ghost type your dealing with. How about candle scrying? since its difficult for people to understand how different ghosts flash, why not whenever the ghosts hunt candles will match their pattern by flashing a little brighter. might be something you wanna do while hiding though

The Thunderbird is very calm when there is a lack of electricity, leading to a heavily lowered chance of hunts.

The Thunderbird has two abilities: the ability to hunt at variable sanities depending on the amount of lights, and the ability to prematurely start a hunt if the breaker overflows.

NOTE: Like Mares, Thunderbirds cannot turn on lights.
If the breaker ever shuts down due to an overflow of lights (regardless if the player turned on a light or the Thunderbird was forced to via a Voodoo Doll), the Thunderbird will attempt to prematurely start a hunt, ignoring the hunt cooldown duration and ignoring sanity, but not ignoring crucifixes (so exactly like a Demon).
So the Thunderbird is basically a ghost that hates electricity. If you suspect a Thunderbird, keeping as many lights off as possible is a good strategy, as all of the Thunderbird’s abilities become null if few lights are ever on.
I really liked the idea myself; I was just planning on having fun with the concept, but I didn't expect it to fit into the game so well. Llorona was actually even stronger initially—at first, she could turn on the sink from anywhere in the building, but I thought that would be unbalanced on huge maps, and the only way to stop her sprint was by turning off the faucet. As for Evidence, that's a real problem. I think the developers should rework Evidence already; otherwise, it's simply impossible to find a themed set for the new ghosts.
I think out of the 27 ghosts there are, maybe half of them have evidences that actually fit. It would be nice if Kinetic added an eighth evidence and give that evidence to a lot of the already existing ghosts (which would make it a little annoying to remember ghost evidences but who the heck actually memorized ghost evidences except for the big ones like Mimic)
In general, I'm really looking forward to the update, where the developers promised a complete rework of the existing ghosts, I hope they will do it well (like, for example, they redesigned some maps)

Yes, as far as I remember, when they were talking about 1.0, they mentioned that they would change the ghosts. I hope these are real changes that will improve the game, completely remove random elements (except for the Mimic), and the game will play completely differently.

I had a new idea for a ghost type: the angel. It would be the exact opposite of demon with its ability having a much smaller crucifix range and it gains speed when it passes through that range. It also ignores tier 3 cruci when summoned during a cursed hunt and has dots, emf 5 and spirit box for its evidence but whenever it’s on dots it has a chance to show angel wings on the ghost model similar to the obake 6 fingers. It also should be only female while making the wraith an only male ghost to allow the three evidence given to be the same for both

I don't believe this would work out for a good ghost since it could reallistically only work for normal contracts. For instance it wouldn't work in apoc 3 settings since the breaker is always broke and it has no hunting tell at all. The only tell you have given it requires the breaker to be not broken so any contract with it broken this ghost would just be another Jinn and nobody wants that for harder difficulties. Good idea but it needs some tweaks

GHOST EXPANSION IDEAS
(Part 1, because discord doesn’t let me type enough)
Not that all ghosts need it, some need it more than others. We got complex ghosts like The Mimic and the Gallu, and then we have stuff like Mare where really the only thing they do is turn off lights, or Yureis whose only thing is periodically silently closing a door.
So here are some of my ideas for what could make some ghosts even better.
GORYO
Goryos like to stick to their favourite room a lot, so what if they had an increased chance of events in the favorite room, but become incapable of doing events outside of the favorite room? There aren’t many ghosts that aggressively do events - only Onis and Thayes iirc, so making the Goryo a party ghost in its own room seems fun.
JINN
Ok, so they’re speedy from a distance, under certain conditions, which can’t be met in Apoc 3 because the breaker is broken. Meaning in Apoc 3 they’re just normal ghosts. Let’s give them the power to produce electricity in minor ways - in a 4 meter radius, all electronic devices will flicker on and off, with or without the breaker being on. Not very noticeable if the breaker is on - but the Jinn has its other power to make up for this.
MARE
They’re ghosts of darkness and probably one of my favourites. Expanding their light-hating abilities could make them way cooler - the Mare could have a power outage ability, where it appears physically like an event, stationary, and all the lights flicker for a few seconds, before all the lights turn off. As the Mare disappears, a distant laugh can be heard throughout the investigation area.
I always thought XL maps that can have a lobby of 6 people would be cool

a ghost that has a small like 5% chance to glow or have some hidden symbol on it if you shine uv at it during a hunt
or it could have a very faint glow thats hard to see with nv, lights or flashlight on
also a ghost similar to a banshee thats picks a favorite player and is more likely to hunt if it “sees” another player within ~3m of its favorite and will target that player during the hunt, it would also strongly prefer to leave its favorite player for last but wont if they mess with it too much or are alone in the house, if its forced to kill its favorite player early it will enter an enraged state for the rest of the contract
it could also have a slightly reduced hunt chance if its favorite player is alone in the house or instead if they are alone in its room even if others are in the house as a sort of “distracted” state
another cool addition could be a chance for a unique spirit box line if its favorite player is holding it alone in the ghost room where it screams something like “MINE” all ghostly yk
what if they was to create a jungle map with very little hiding spots, a couple tents, waterfall you can walk into and find like a little crystal cave

Lots of people play with breaker broken and it would be stupid to have yet another ghost that has no tell when the breaker is broken. it would act exactly the same as a jhinn.

Why are we being so aggressive? Yes I understand the idea is bad for apoc 3 but again its a baseline idea and can be tweaked, also you have no idea how many hours or how much knowledge I have. Again you are being selfish because youre only recognizing apoc 3 a mode specially tailored to be incredibly difficult. They could make a special tweak similar to the banshee where a simple audio cue or even maybe camera cue of some kind helps, who knows. Yes and when I originally replied to the owner I feel like i was nice about it and just pointed it out there was no need for you to pipe up. There is only 1 ghost that doesn't currently have a tell in apoc 3 and that is a jhinn. Every other ghost has a tell even tho it may take hours to see it. Ever ghost should be balanced for every gamemode. But i was very polite when i was talking to the person who suggested it and there was no need for your input to me since it wasn't a useful input.
Make it so we have an option to play the first version or second version tanglewood when selecting tanglewood so people who like the old one more or the new one better can have a bit more of a choice

I’m keeping the same ability as before, but along with the avian appearance, I’m adding an idea I had for Jinn (which should still be added for Jinn to give it a tell in Apoc 3 - then players can view the ghost in nightvision to see if it’s Jinn or Thunderbird) - the Thunderbird produces electricity, causing lights to flicker within 4 meters of the ghost (despite the lack of the breaker’s power).
Please stop giving me tasks to complete in Challenge Mode but not the equipment to complete said tasks. I'm a 100% kinda hunter and it makes me so sad 😭

So I take it, it's a hardware issue. There's likely something you can do to fix that in steam VR. I've played previously with an oculus quest 2, before the performance tanked with later updates. And had no issue with orientation of held items.

quick suggestion for new tool for evidence, Thermal Imaging Camera. maybe wouldn't exactly show you the ghost, but it would show heat signatures on or around anything the ghost interacts with. could also have a unique ability with the Hantu where instead of showing warm interactions, it shows cold instead. Like if a fingerprint would normally show up bright for other ghosts, it would show up dark for Hantu

I think adding animaton's where the ghost isn't just walking around or crawling would make this game 1000% better. Make the ghost able to crawl on the the walls and and ceiling would bring back the thrill for us. When it ghost events add an amination where its in the top corner of a wall of floating down to you. In addition to that, make the ghost dodgeable under certain circumstances like when its on the ceiling before it drops down.

Unlike other difficulties where evidence is consistent, this mode introduces intentional distortions that force players to question everything they see, hear, and interpret.
One of the core mechanics is the alteration of evidence. Some pieces of evidence may appear falsely or only temporarily, such as ghost orbs showing up on camera without belonging to the actual ghost, writing appearing in the ghost book and later disappearing, or Spirit Box responses that do not reflect the entity’s true nature. These anomalies are not constant, but intermittent, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. Players can no longer rely on a single observation and must instead confirm patterns and repeat tests to reduce the margin of error.
Another key aspect is the manipulation of information from the van. Monitors are no longer fully reliable: activity levels may display spikes that do not correspond to real events or, conversely, hide important moments. Cameras may show visual interference, ambiguous shadows, or false indicators that mislead the team. This especially impacts group dynamics, as the role of the player monitoring from outside loses accuracy and can lead to incorrect decisions.

Additionally, psychological events are introduced that do not directly affect hunts but instead target perception. Apparitions in incorrect locations, visual manifestations that do not reflect the ghost’s true position, and misleading sounds are part of this added layer of difficulty. You’re wording this like Paranoia Mode already exists, but it doesn’t. This doesn’t read like an idea, it reads like a thorough explanation of an already existing game mode.
Not to mention this gamemode wouldn’t make a lot of sense in practice, at least with the evidence parts. False evidence leads to people incorrectly guessing shit, then people get frustrated because everything is inconsistent. “Just double check your facts”, Phasmophobia already takes so long to play, so this part would just make the game so much longer.
On a side note, on the off-chance that this is your actual writing and ideas, I like the idea of the ghost crawling on the ceiling or walls, it’s definitely an idea I’ve seen in this channel before. That being said, it would be too difficult to program the ghost to hide in the corner, crawl on the walls - the amount of code to take that would be nuts.

I'm sure that someone came up with this already, but why not add an PKE meter? it can be used for evidence to show what ghost type you're dealing with but it can also be used to find the bone or cursed object in bigger maps.

I've been sitting on the idea of specialisations / classes, like an athlete with more sprint but can't see directional or distance info on gear, radio host who has proficiency in sound gear but can't use video gear as well, etc.

But to make it not overpowered, the dead player (DP) would sound muffled when just on the outside of the spirt box range, and kinda clear when next to the spirit box. It just feels like it makes it so we can't use motion sensor for any actual motion sensing, and are made to just take a recording of it for an easy media and then turn it off and get rid of it so it's not interfering with our other recordings. I would rather keep it there so we can keep track of the ghosts movements and also still be able to record other stuff going on

There's something that always seemed off for me, I'd like to share my thoughts and get your opinions.
I think it would make more sense to start with tier 3 items and unlock tiers 2 and 1 as we progress. So the game would start "easy" and the difficulty increases as we reach higher levels.

To mitigate this, the available tier could be a difficulty setting. Going in with Tier 1 items could add a higher reward multiplier than Tier 3 (which also makes more sense IMO, the harder the game, the better the rewards)

I cant put a picture on here but a lore theory that would be really cool is that the child ghost model with it's whole face being a mouth with teeth was a patient at Sunny Meadows. We can see in the restricted section of the map that they seem to do a lot with teeth, theres tools to remove teeth as well as a lot of other surgical tools and theres bowls of teeth in multiple places, and that ghost model has rows and rows of teeth taking up it's full face.
Another Sunny Meadows theory I have is that Patient-07 is Nancy from Tanglewood, we're pretty sure the the granddaughter found in the attic of Bleasdale was from Grafton so we know the devs have the idea of connecting maps with lore
I don’t think this should replace the current system, but it would be cool if there was a campaign or smth that would implement this idea, where you start with the easy locations (Tanglewood, Willow) with t3 stuff and progress all the way to High School and Sunny Meadows with t1 stuff
OCE region as there has been situations where me ans my mates teleport back because of the lag or the ghost teleports onto us with no chance of survival during a hunt
OCE region was removed early on due to connection issues, so now AS is the best region ping-wise to play on for OCE players currently

A campaign mode would be really cool! I started playing after the game had already become complex, so it was really hard for me to understand all the ghosts, items and maps. A campaing would be an amazing way to teach everything gradually

Guys i had an idea: we could let the dead players talk to the alive players through spirit box, ouija board. and alive players can see what the dead players see through the haunted mirror, and alive players could summon dead players with a summoning circle (just random thought of this)
I like this and to expand, what if when you die you can just see the ghost in its room so you can communicate through the spirit box to your team like “they’re in this room, the left and moved here, etc” and since you yourself is now a ghost the ghost doesn’t bother or even see you. Only the living

Been playing Phasmo for a year, and the more recent versions have been degrading my FPS.
From a stable 80 FPS to now 60 FPS with a lot of stuttering (As of recent versions).
That is a very noticable difference. Even with the more simpler maps, it still has a lot of stuttering issues.
Performance has continuously dropped for a while now. I used to be able to play the old asylum map in VR at a solid 90fps. Now I am running far lower settings and get occasional stutters on the new maps at a shaky 60fps on flatscreen. VR isn't even playable for me anymore, not even on the smallest maps, get like 30fps with drops and hitches.
I just have a question about if there's a possibility to increase the number of people allowed to join a room?
Man, when will they ever implement optimizations.
Or better yet have more graphical customizations. Because, simple things like changing the quality and antialiasing of the game won't really do significant FPS changes.
Moreover, there are also a lot of unnecesarry files, the base game in of itself is 34GB. I mean, can't they cut half of that atleast? The base game itself is 13GB.
I really wish that the new tanglewood drive wasnt so ambient noise heavy. As someone who is hard of hearing, the extra ambient sounds particularly on this map have made it to where, even in clear weather, I can barely hear footsteps and when it rains even light rain and not the heavy rain, I cant really hear footsteps at all. It makes me super sad because I love playing on zero evidence and I can no longer do that on tanglewood drive due to not really being able to hear the speed of footsteps. I dont have this issue on almost any other map. 😭 I understand that the rain is supposed to make it a bit harder but It has made the game at this point inaccessible for me.

Closest we have to a mansion currently are the farmhouses. Having a 3 story + possibly a basement with like, idk, 30-40 rooms, would be so cool.

Remember how I said we should originally use mods to change the textures of ghosts, well I possibly have a much safer idea to do so, why not incorporate a texture pack system and to make sure it works the texture pack maker could be built into phasmophobia. Apartments; maps smaller than tanglewood, with a direct goal of being meant for new players. very few rooms, with the largest "rooms" being in one or more chambers (think how the tanglewood kitchen and dining room are connected, but not the same room). the map would be identified as tiny instead of small, and to prevent grinding, players over say, level 30 will only get 0.65% of the money they'd usually get. upon going to the location, instead of starting on a truck, you will start infront of the haunted apartment. there are foldable tables with the equipment loaded on them. there will also be two tables for the video camera computer, and also for the sanity, activity meter, etc all on laptops.
Ghost personalities: some ghosts just behave differently than others. some are highly territorial and will kill anyone who gets too close. some are just mischievious, there to only make a joke out of the players. some are guardian spirits, there to guard it's post, deterring anyone who approaches. or, some are just grouchy. ghosts will act differently, and it's behaviour will be different based off it's personality. (yes, this does mean there will be ghosts that do not kill as much as they usually would) for example, a young ghost will be more likely to spook the players all in the name of playing a game. older ghosts may be more relaxed, and more likely to do less. just being there to enjoy their afterlife. their personalities would also reflect their ghost type. a demon might be more malevolent, killing players simply for fun. a dayan might be more elusive, and simply trying to scare the players away to keep it's peace. a banshee might be more protective of it's home, and is trying to protect it's current residents. the personality of the ghost won't be directly told, and will simply have to be inferred. alternatively, you might find evidence that leans to what it's personality is.
Fake hunts: sometimes, a ghost really wants you out it's room, but it's morals tell it to keep you alive. so, it acts like it's hunting to scare you out. it will behave like any other hunt, but won't kill you. instead, yelling or crying at you. this would tie HEAVILY with the ghost's personality, as it might be doing a fake hunt, trying to play hide-and-seek with you. this brings up the possibility for a ghost type that does not kill at all!

Ghost idea: “Eidolon”
Coming from Greek mythology, they are more of a concept rather than an actual ghost, but they’re thing is mimicking the living. Similar to Phantoms or Shades, they are shadows of living people, with some literature works - like Helen of Troy - having an Eidolon be birthed from a dead person, with the person returning as merely a shadow.
ACTUAL IN-GAME STUFF
Eidolon’s evidence is EMF 5, Ghost Writing, and Ghost Orbs. It also has the Spirit Box as a fake evidence, which I will explain below.
Fake Spirit Box Ability
The Eidolon has no forced evidence, however it will always have Spirit Box, although it does not actually count as a piece of evidence, so it will show up in zero-evidence games. Like a Deogen, the Eidolon has a 33% chance to give a whispering spirit box response (similar to the Paranormal Whispering noise). This unique response lasts 5 seconds, and drains the sanity of all players within 4m by 1% for every second the player is within range.
Paranormal Whisper Ability
Eidolons are completely incapable of giving a Paranormal sound besides Paranormal Whispering (so no laughing, groaning, or talking). Every time a player detects a Paranormal Whisper either with the paramic or sound recorder, their sanity is drained by 5%.
Whispering Hunt Ability
During a normal hunt, the Eidolon has no tells, it is completely normal. However, every time a hunt starts, there is a chance that a Whispering Hunt is started instead.
The chances of this happening are equal to the amount of dead players put into a percentage. 1 player dead in a lobby of 3 = a 33% chance of a whispering hunt. In single player, it is simply 25%. The highest this can ever be is 3 players dead in a lobby of 4 with a 75% chance.
During the Whispering Hunt, the Eidolon will appear in a Shadow Form, like a Shade’s ability to do this in Summoning Circle or Music Box. The Eidolon does not show up as a Shadow Form via those cursed objects though.
My message was too big to include this, but during the Whispering Hunt, the Eidolon will also move with a speed increase equal to 0.3m/s for every dead player (with a minimum of +0.3 in single player). So a max speed of 2.6m/s in a 4-player lobby, and 2.0m/s in single player.

Weve had so many people hold the entire game hostage because they decide they dont like what the group is doing or they disagree with a result. Or they come in INTENDING to be toxic and troll.
I understand its a double edged sword, hosts can also abuse it. So prehaps a voting system could also be useful. Similar to deleting a media, just for player removal.

Hello i have a suggestion on an cursed object, i was thinking lowkey Chralie charlie would be such a cool thing to have in phasmophobia, It would be paper and on it two pencils with the Yes and No questions and after 3 or 4 uses it would burn down. Kinda like a Moroi and a Phantom? But way more creepy. This ghost - fuck it, we’ll call him Jeff - Jeff gives the players collectively a curse if anyone takes a photo of the ghost, or any variant of the ghost, I.e. shadow form.
When cursed, all photos add to a Curse Meter, which can only go down if a player consumes a sanity med. Once the meter reaches 5, it immediately starts a Cursed Hunt, and all hunts afterwards are Cursed Hunts.
The following photos add or reduce the meter:
Additionally - every cursed photo will show a faint image of something super scary. Maybe Jeff’s demo- I mean, angelic face, or a skull, etc. When the meter is at 1, the image is super faint, basically undetectable. At 5 though, it’s honestly easier to see than the actual photo. So if players are perceptive, they’ll be able to catch a Jeff curse before it’s too late.

• a ghost that’s super fast but isn’t good at turning sharp corners (that alone is enough for one ghost, plus a non-hunt tell of sorts)
• a ghost that recalls locations but forgets said locations when smudged (although tbh this sounds more annoying than anything, definitely needs to be LV 40+ like you said)
• a ghost of false trails and trickery (would need a weakness to counteract this, perhaps easily tricked by noise like nearby electronics going haywire or a DOTS projector)

They should add a system, where the ghost can speak through the radio randomly just like screaming, talking, and ghost noises, but is a very rare chance of happening.
One thing I'd like added to the ghost selection part of the journal is a third option, instead of just crossout or circle. Either a question mark, or a flag. That way you can keep track of ghosts you think it might be while trying to figure out which one it is. This would be good for situations where you have limited or no evidence, but you have a hunch as to what ghost it could be.
Thought of this while playing with my friend earlier. Everyone wants an official way to talk to dead teammates, so my suggestion is a new piece of equipment with two lights or buzzers that the dead teammate can use to answer yes or no question. Basically a more sophisticated ‘throw the clip board for yes’ method but it would be nice to have something official in game
Lobby Names would be amazing. Like instead of just saying “(username)’s room” you could name it to “Tanglewood ID Card grinding” or something so people know what they are joining for.
Maybe democratize the kicking function? I’m tired of entering lobbies just to get kicked without any reason at all. If people don’t want someone in a party, they should just ask. If said person refuses to leave, then they should be kicked.

It's so hard to see sometimes especially on event maps in rooms with the firefly lamps with the current white box on the already white night vision camera mode when trying to see orbs in particular

Because The Stalker strictly haunts the target, most of the time it won’t be in crucifix range, unless the target is always in the ghost room.
It’s 50/50 if it’ll be safe. If it chooses a target who stays in the ghost room a lot, it’s unlikely to hunt, will be stopped by crucies, and will show evidence quickly.
But if it chooses a target who roams a lot, that target is likely to be assassinated, distant from the group, which isn’t very dangerous in small maps but imagine getting The Stalker on SM

Add dybbuk as a new ghost. Dybbuk box cursed item. They are known as attaching spirit, and my jewish coworker told me real stories about it. His stories has nothing to do with dybbuk box, and they are deadly if they attach themselves to victims.
Add a backpack for solo play. You can put 4 items in it, & it takes a single slot you can hold. But, you can’t use the items in the backpack until you set it down. @potent cedar

Edit: from what I have learned, the Dybbuk is an often male possessive spirit who will cling or attach to a target, possessing them so that the Dybbuk can proceed with unfinished business.
As for the box, I couldn’t find as much info on it, but it appears to be a Dybbuk-harboring cursed item, one of a kind, that caused bad luck and nightmares.
It’s because they perform exorcism, casting dybbuk back into the box, and put personal belongings to the box. According to stories, and I watched documentaries about it.

There could also be the Dybbuk box, which will spawn with an equal chance of other cursed objects. Using it drains sanity, but temporarily prevents a hunt. It has 4-6 uses - randomly determined, and visible on the box. If the last one is used, the instant the ability to prevent a hunt wears off, a cursed hunt instantly starts.
Additionally, a player that is clinged by a Dybbuk can use the box to remove the curse, as well as receive the effects that the box would normally use.
Zak Bagans has one real cursed object in his museum in Las Vegas if you’re interested. He has dybbuk cursed objects in his museum collection. Ask him stories

I mean mimics can also do them and you still have Obake Handprint named as unique evidence, why not those two as well still? Also could we introduce a Demon ability where it actively avoids going say within 3 meters of a crucifix even when hunting, that would be a nice, unique little tell, say for example the ghost goes running up to the crucifix when it see's you then when it's within range of the crucifix, it just won't come near you. Maybe a unique guttural growl for a demon as well? Just idea's 🙂

Make the dead be able to interact with the environment more. Have dead teammates able to turn on stoves or close doors maybe to warn living players of the nearby ghost. Which brings me to my next point. Make the dead able to see the ghost at all times, considering the dead can see other dead players as well. Maybe hints will be given to dead teammates as well such as shape shifting ghosts turning into teammates.
Infinite Sprint while outside the "Ghost Zone". (I understand the game design choice to "set the scene" by making players initially walk up to a spooky looking building, it gets a bit annoying to run out of Stamina on your way to the front door your 100th time playing the map.)
Keybinds for Item Slots. 1-3 being your 3 main items and 4 for Igniter by default. (I want to be able to put my Incense into slot 3, so no matter which Item Slot I currently have selected, I can press "3 -> Right-Click" to smudge.)

Special Ability: Can interact with objects away from its favorite room, specifically when there are no players in them, as to "call you" to that room.
Strengths: can be hard to locate favorite room because of interactions outside it's room.
Weakness: Salt and Incense have double the effect.

A Kludde is a hostile spirit. Known for stalking its prey in darkness and instilling overwhelming dread. Witnesses often report hearing faint distant footsteps before any manifestation occurs. The Kludde thrives on fear and confusion, using psychological tactics to weaken investigators before striking.
Unique trait:
This ghost can start “fake” hunts a full-scale hunt event that feels like any normal hunt. During the fake hunt the Kludde has a random speed of 2m/s - 1.5m/s without LOS speed the speed changes after every hunt. The hunt has a 5% chance of starting 50 seconds after a interaction. This hunt is completely harmless but still drains your sanity.
Strengths:
• Can create intense pressure by triggering fake hunts unexpectedly
• Disorients players and wastes resources (smudge sticks, hiding, etc.)
• Relies heavily on audio cues to build tension
Weaknesses:
• Fake hunts do not result in player deaths
• Experienced investigators can distinguish real hunts from fake ones over time

Normal hunts:
A normal hunt can only start from 40% sanity it wont drain your sanity and wont have LOS speed. During the normal hunt the ghost will have a speed of 1.7m/s

I'd also recommend you change the cursor colour to an uncommon colour. I use pink, as almost nothing in the game is that colour, and it contrasts well with both light and dark backgrounds
What if we had cosmetics that we unlocked alongside whatever badge we have? Like the new astronomer badge would also unlock some kind of accessory for our character whenever the character overhaul drops. And badges we've already unlocked would have their cosmetics automatically unlocked

Please add either Hindi or Urdu as a language in the online section of the gamee. Language is one of the most important components. There not being these two languages causes a big problem for a Huge community and a lot of people. Adding the language would be really appreciated and has become a need. Please take notice and do a lot of people good and savee them time.

It’s being worked on 
Premise: Unique Event
For 1 Week, players can opt into a random que. The que distributes 4 players randomly and chooses 1 map (Brownstone High School, Prison, Sunny Meadows, and "undisclosed". Players have 60 seconds to choose any 3 tier 1 items. At the end of 60 seconds they are summoned into the interior of the location, the doors lock, and a random ghost begins to hunt. All curse objects are distributed on the map.
Each time a player dies, all other players receive a number. When all but 1 player remains, a number will spawn in the ghost's favorite room. If the surviving player gets to the terminal keeping the outer doors locked, input the code (the numbers), and return to the truck, they can obtain any 1 badge (twitch drop, special) except for Apocalypse that they previously missed out on.

Happend to me in game lmao it was a mare that did emf 5,ghost orbs, spirit box,dots and ghost writing (it did 5 evidence the ghost I still don't know how)
I feel they really need to make it where we can run faster, or have better stamina. Also, maybe a backpack or some item to purchase to be able to carry more items?

Infinite stamina when outside the investigation area would be nice. You could potentially argue longer sprint but longer cooldown for larger maps, but that may not be necessary depending on how they rework the remaining medium/large maps.
Make a story mode with the ghosts more accurate to the folklore, some are malicious and some arent, some are women or kids only, some target men over women, some have different amount of fingers (not just the obake), also note out how some ghosts are types of each other, some target certain ages so could implement teen/young adults/adult characters, some appear as animals, bring in different types of a ghost like a spirit for extra hard modes, have a mimic, mimic voices (yes that would require the game to record voices but implement into privacy policy that it's only recordings of that round and it gets deleted right after, or even just keeps the audio for 1-2 minutes)
Also put more behaviours to certain ghosts to make it easier to know what they are such as jinns and yurei
Stop putting focus on time limited "drops" or other exclusives that stop people who live in other timezones or have to work during the events from participating.
Hi! I don't know where exactly to write this.
I'm a massive fan of the game: I've got the Completionist badge and have played for years. However, these limited drops have really killed my desire to play. I'm a bit of a completionist, but the streams are always on during the middle of the night for me.
The new badge and ID card look amazing, and I'd have loved to have watched the stream! But I can't get it now. I feel really put off of playing as a result. The fact that I'm disadvantaged from getting cool stuff because of geography feels a little unfair.
I'd like to suggest that drops are available for 24 hours. I think it'd really make a difference. Or let us trade them on marketplace! I'd gladly trade cosmetics.
I know Devs don't monitor this channel due to the pop-up, but I think if other people feel similarly about it, it may be worth this being vocalised. I've seen a lot of people expressing this on Reddit, and in various places on here.
I still love the game, and I'm appreciative of the work going into it. But I don't want Phasmo to fall into the trap of scarcity farming, and I'm anxious that it is.

I've been thinking a long time about seeing a ghost from Slavic culture like Rusalka. It's a spirit of a female that died by drowning so it could have a specific interaction like always being able to leave dirty water, no matter the favored room. She could also maybe be faster near water? The evidence doesn't really matter.
Add items the ghost attaches itself too and be territorial about like a stuffed animal, a rocking chair or even a plate or something it makes it feel more realistic having the ghost adapt itself to something

The odd flash light like a red room ghost event is fine but with the car lights being consent it makes it difficult for them to play that map.
Agreed although it shouldn’t be allowed to be made too quiet, there definitely should be customization with it (like Tanglewood rain) but it still needs to be loud enough to be an obstacle, like heavy rain

something cool could be holy water that could act as a powerup on certain items. Pour holy water on a crucifix and its radius is increased by 0.25% per level of the holy water or you could pour it on yourself and it acts as repellent that stuns the ghost but only has one use.
not a suggestion but more of a complaint/things I dislike and its the fact that on small maps with multiple floors, when the ghost goes to the other floor the sound gets so muffled, even if the ghost is still really close to the stairs, you can barely hear it and it doesnt sound too realistic and it can lead to players getting frustrated (def didnt just happen to me)

I know that the game is primarily focused on paranormal investigation, evidence seeking, and trying to survive any and all attempts at potential hunts. But my friends and I had an idea to throw out here: what if it went further than ghost identification and then running to the van?
WHAT IF, once the ghost has been identified and circled, which can only be done inside the home, the house goes haywire; lights bursting or flickering, water flooding the bathrooms, toys acting up, etc., and the front door slams shut. It's now locked. The ghost is now very aware that you know who, and what, it is. It's now in a perpetual hunt to kill you until you find a way to unlock the front door and escape. Lay down salt to slow it down, but there's a time limit per each type of ghost. Wraith? Crucifix could slow it down and keep it back, but again, time limit. If there is someone in the truck that while all of that is going on, then they cannot circle what ghost it is until their friends are out or if they get inside the home themselves.
Creates real stakes and real panic, I think!

i'd love to have more possibilities in terms of photo evidence. as a mostly one evidence player I often end up waiting long time for ghost to trigger an event or move to room with a sink, while all other media are fullfilled ;/
also - i think a hotbar or shortcuts for each piece of equipment would be great
i feel like crystals should be added where certain crystals like quartz or obsidian would trigger different reactions in different ghosts. Still developing the idea though.

I think a ghost that had a special ability to "possess" one of the players at some point during the game would be really cool. Make it so that, instead of a physical room being the favorite, the player is designated as the favorite, and the ghost orbs, EMF, and cold only appear around them. Essentially, all the detection gear only works when that player is around it, and when it starts hunting, it leaves that person and won't hunt them until they are the last person in multiplayer or have a 3-second freeze point in single player. It eventually makes players paranoid of each other. Just a sugestion.

Ya I think the one that would make the most sense would be EMF 5, Freezing Temps, and Ghost orbs, as those don't require the ghost to interact with the environment and can be anchored to one person, and as a single player, can be seen as they go through the map.

agreed, this can also affect people with autism who have speech comprehesion issues meaning the ability to turn off certain atmospheric sounds.... for example the fuzzy/staticy sound that is on certain maps during the easter event makes it really haard to hear my team mates on those maps, and rain is a little rough though not bat if your outside...... i just simply cant seperate the sounds.

rework media again, the media rework was interesting but its so useless and tedious now, only 3 deletes allowed to get 13 unique pieces of media which even for a team of 3 people takes way too much work to get for little reward

Good ghost idea I think:
Tenome. It comes from Japanese folklore, and its a ghost that can blind you. What I mean is, during a hunt, while the Tenome is within 10 meters of you, your vision is greatly darkened until it is out of that range, but as a drawback, it slows down to 1.3 meters per second while its in range of blinding you. The Tenome can only be a male ghost.
Sounds interesting. We should also get ghosts from cultures Phasmophobia has not referenced yet. There’s the Gwisin from Korea, the Wenliang, Yaoguai, and the Mogwai from China, the Wendigo from Algonquian folklore in the United States and Canada, and the Mokoi from aboriginal folklore in Australia.

Hey, here’s an interesting ghost I just found out about: the Pu Som Fao Sap from Thai folklore. This ghost resembles a respectable elderly man and its purpose is to guard treasures. Maybe its behavior could include slow speeds but increased aggression in its hiding spot or around certain objects. Perhaps it could affect random objects in its proximity and whoever held the object last either gets targeted during a hunt similar to a Banshee or has their sanity drained faster the longer they hold it. Since the ghost resembles an old man, the ghost can only be male.
The mokoi sounds like a direct combination of moroi and yokai

Maybe. From what I read, Mokoi tend to kill sorcerers who use black magic. The Yolŋu People in particular believed Mokoi would bring disease or cause fatal accidents

I think it should be tied to a random object in its vicinity, whether it be a book, a flower pot, a mug, a ball, or even anything from the antiques room in Bleasedale just to name a few. But maybe Mokois could be tied to cursed objects
I think the Mokoi could function similarly to the Banshee and the Pu Som Fao Sap. But instead of targeting a random player like a Banshee or targeting whoever last held a Pu Som Fao Sap’s treasured object, it would target whoever set off the cursed hunt or whoever last held the cursed object
A dope map would be a museum, could be a new large one, I just want a room with a dino that the ghost can mess with. Maybe an Easter egg
A game mode that allows players to customize everything, like what room the ghost will be in, what rooms it can choose to move to, what ghost type it will be, along with all the challenge mode customizations. You can choose the map, weather, cursed objects, etc. Of course, achievements disabled and money turned off. Purely for testing and having fun. oh and ghost model and sounds as well, and equipment tier, and how many/what evidences can be given

Blood moon map weather spawns a giant summoning circle in the middle of the cul-de-sac round. When lit, it summons multiple ghosts that hunt 20-30% of the players for 90 seconds-120 seconds, unless they are on the bus/trucks

Ghost Idea: Siren
As I explain this ghost, it may sound a bit like a Banshee, I’ve tried making it unique but if you have any suggestions as to how to make it less like a Banshee, please give a suggestion
Hunt Sanity: 50% default, 70% ability
Hunt Speed: anywhere between 1.2 to 2.2m/s
Does NOT have LoS speed buildup
Female ghost model only
The Siren has two abilities: “the siren’s song” and “water being”
The siren’s Song
Sirens can only do singing or mist form events. If a player goes within 2m of a Siren while it does a singing event, it triggers the song ability. In short, this drains sanity from the player, and can instantly start a hunt if the group sanity is 70% or lower.
Water Being
Rooms with a water source are considered water rooms, regardless of the state of the water source. The farther a Siren is from a water room, the slower they are - up to 2.2m/s if in a water room, or as slow as 1.2m/s if 6 or more rooms from a water room.
Edit: 6 or more meters from a water room, for water being ability. Not 6 rooms. That would make it very fast in house maps.

More ghost types is just fun to think about
For being fast in a lot of Tanglewood, this would probably be a similar problem to the other house maps, perhaps the range of which the Siren can be fast near a water room is dependant on the map. So in house maps, it’s a really small range, and in large maps, it’s really big.

Llorona (Mexican Folklore)
Since the devs have recently added ghosts based on real-world folklore, I wanted to suggest one based on the Mexican legend of La Llorona
DESCRIPTION:
La Llorona is a highly aggressive ghost tied to water. When near water sources, she becomes significantly more active and dangerous. She is also known to manipulate the audio perception of her victims.
This ghost only appears as a female model, consistent with its folklore.
🔎 EVIDENCE
STRENGTH:
Water Empowerment
When near active water sources (running sinks, showers, bathtubs, or map water):
Greatly increases activity and paranormal event frequency
Mini Special Interaction: Can interact with two water sources at once
Effects apply within 5.5 meters (double interaction restricted to water sources)
WEAKNESS:
When no active water is nearby, she becomes significantly less active & aggressive.
Hunt Behavior:
No water: 1.7 m/s
Near water: ~3.0 m/s (no LOS scaling)

Much more likely to interact with water sources like sinks, bathtubs, showers etc.

Small chance (1/25) on Spirit Box to hear a distinctive wailing cry instead of normal responses

I’ve seen a lot of water ghost recommendations, myself included, the devs really need to add one
If you prestige maybe add a small multiplier
Here me out: the seven deadly sins as ghosts
Sloth = slow and inactive, can slow down players
Wrath = hunts sooner and is faster but has a longer hunt cooldown
Pride = slow in natural hunts, fast in cursed hunts or hunts that happen after a crucifix is burned (likes hunting when it wants to, hates being controlled or forced)
Lust = reverse Banshee, likes one player and hunts the other players
Envy = the Mimic of the deadly sins, it can mimic the other six sins
Greed = has a chance to ignore cursed objects and their abilities
Gluttony = very slow, but hunts when players use equipment in the ghost room
Tribute to the Original Lobby.
Maybe as a room inside a house or location as a subtle callback.
The ability to choose lower Thropy tiers in your lobby incase you like a lower tier design you can switch to it and have more customization variety for the lobby

Replace the bone mechanic with an object of significance. Like something the ghost held dear to them before they died. Maybe it's a book, or a piece of jewelry, or something werid like a hammer. Could we get more scary events from the ghosts? Like scripted events that trigger randomly.
For example, you’re walking down a hall and at the end of it a ghost bolts from one room to the other giving you a jumpscare without any loud and scary noises.
Or you walk up to a door that’s cracked open and when you go to pull it open the ghost grabs it from the other side and you see it’s face before it slams the door shut.
A really rare event where the ghost will violently grab someone by the legs and drag them to its favorite room and any door it drags you through slams shut.
An event where the entity will peer at you from behind a wall or doorway.
Just something to make missions a bit more creepy.
Hunt does this with their prestige system. Either an XP multiplier, Extra 2000 bucks starting or on significant levels a premium skin (lower $$ amount)
Using 1 of the new screenshots for this one. My suggestion is not to have the off hand not take up so much screen space. This screenshot shows how much of the view is now blocked by the player holding a flashlight and a video cam. Now image them both being T3 they are larger. There is still time to make this tiny change. Just move the off hand more to the left. You will still be able to see the watch and flashlight but still be able to see your surroundings.
A new ghost that is completely blind but it’s has great hearing and it’s move speed is faster than a deogen and jinn

Leap Castle in Ireland or maybe 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa (Arkansas). to name a few. i have thought alot about these and think maybe something inspired by them or even [La Isla de las Muñecas, Mexico]: Located in Teshuilo Lake, this island is covered in dolls intended to appease the spirit of a drowned girl. this would be amazing for ghost interactions. the stuff of nightmares if you ask me. lol

ohh a sugestion channel, iv been waiting to share this idea, it may need some tweaks to actually work, but i feel this would be a fun idea, i like the idea of this for a forced ghost writing ghost.
a doppelganger ghost, either copies the look of another player, or has fake evidence or both, but 2 of its evidence are locked in as real evidence, perhaps using the evidence of ghost writing, dots and em5, and the writing could be the evidence that changes randomly. i feel this could be a fun addition.
strengths: due to this ability being a form in illusion only the eyes can see the player state so on video camera this will appear as a regular ghost,
weakness: if photo graphed there's a small chance of a random in lobby player model appearing instead.
forced evidence: ghost writing
extra mechanics, once the door is open you have a set time to try get ghost writing before it replaces this with a "fake" evidence, if the ghost writes in the book then you have a small time before it boots the book and removes the writing inside, and changes to a random "fake" evidence,
during hunts: there is a random chance for the ghost to take the form of a player in the lobby and get a speed boost while in player state.

Suggestion:
Add cross platform progression.
Not much that needs to be explained here. However, it's a bit discouraging to spend hundreds of hours playing the game. Getting all of the event cards. Getting your prestige really high... And then switch platforms and it's all gone.
I personally am making the move to PC from console. And the fact I'd have to spend several hundred hours getting back up to the prestige I was is just demotivating to think about. Again, + the event cards and other rewards. Or even having to redo apoc 3.
It just sucks having so much effort become useless just because you upgraded devices.
A mode that activates a mode where you can access the old maps but x0 rewards

Would love to see a graveyard with an underground catacomb and a small Mausoleum area separate from the graveyard as well as matching outfits that you can purchase because I'd be buying it, I want a Priest Cosmetic with items that match the outfits that you can sport! We need some kind of exorcism update where players get possessed by The Ghost and the other players have to either perform an exorcism or a seance. This would bring such a great theme to this game! i also said this a while ago, i thought: what if you could use the summoning circle to summon a dead player (for the same time as when u summon a ghost) you can talk to dead players through spirit box and ouija board, and u can see an dead player's POV through the mirror thingy (and some other things but i forgot lol)
Add an pendelum to phasmophobia to talk with ghosts it could be something like an ouja board if no you can add a pendelum as a cosmetic maybe attached to your belt or in your pocket sticking out
The position you see other players holding a torch in feels unatrual (particurly for tear 3)
Natrually you wouldn't hold a torch so far from your torso (particurly for tear 3), it would usally be beside you (such as image shown), espeshally because holding your arm out infront of you is tiring irl. Perhaps only holding it out when your on the touch slot to show that's the item the player is currently "holding". (would also mean in your veiw you would only see it when holding the torch, making it more clear when your on your torch, or empty slot <3 )
dead players being able to use the other objects (It would be a funny troll to see the book going flying out of the house and it wasn't the ghost doing it) or that dead players can take items from the truck
when the new update comes out add a setting to disable the new arm animations from your pov if you dont want them
I have a idea for a ghost type called the ghoul I was thinking it would be a hyper aggressive ghost that targets the lowest sanity player in the map/house
I was thinking another feature/ identifier for the ghost would be it ghost events more frequently if the lowest sanity player is in the ghost room
So, I just had an interesting thought that I know will never happen, but considering Phasmo has ghosts, cursed items, other evil things, etc. it would make a little sense that after doing certain achievements, events, prestige, etc. players could gain small magic abilities and perks and chose to equip 1 of each at a time.
Like maybe one perk could be a +0.2 walk speed, or a perk that adds 1 second to the grace period. Maybe an ability that shows a smoke trail leading toward the ghost for a few seconds, an ability that lets you see in the dark for a few seconds, or a ghost freeze ability that can only be used 1 time per map that works like a 3 second free smudge but then the ghost deogens the user, etc. Things that wouldn't break the game per se, but tweak it to different play styles.
For the new update the prestige beyond 20 feel purposeless, and a cosmetic at 50 or 100 or even 500 to create an unofficial end would be nice. Rn there isn't any motivation for the already tiny minority at p20 to prestige for any reason beyond claiming highest level for a moment of time. Especially since our xp beyond p20 level 100 doesn't transfer into prestiges
Just release the update with the character customization and don't release the new animations. Respectfully, the animations are clearly unfinished or not polished yet. Releasing just the customization itself will almost satisfy the whole playerbase. Let the animations still bake in the oven until they are finished rather than being released just because of the Alan Wake event
I saw someone else also post this but I definitely agree on putting the flashlight (ANY tier - its quite annoying with the tier 3) so the player holds it like this closer to their shoulder instead of breaking their wrist (the watch would also be a lot clearer no?)

A new item: A portable cassette tape player that plays music at low - mid - high volumes, counts as a electronic, and reacts to ghost events / hunts like the flashlight. Cassette tapes can be previewed in the store, cost roughly $15,000 - $200,000 per, maybe even some as Twitch drops / Special Event drops, Prestige rewards, and other ways and allow music favorites like "Adrift" original, "Adrift" remix, "The Ghost of You" and more. That way we can bring the music when we're out and about at the different locations.
Add decent hair for the women. It’s crazy that most of the men have a full head of hair while the girls look like they have a strand per inch on their scalp. Or add more hats and just more feminine clothing in general. Also it’s clear you guys just reused the same face for some characters and just changed the bone structure, that is crazy, at that point just add two different people with skin color changes and hair type changes instead of locked one person characters. I am not sure how big the team for Phasmophobia is, so I understand if the makers of the game are over worked right now and it is VERY VERY clear you rushed this. Thank you guys for your game. I’d rather quality over quickness.(Edit: Just played a game and the clunkiness of trying to switch items just got me killed in a hunt. When you open your journal it puts the item you already have in your hand away. The opening of the journal is too slow and so is switching items, I had an audio bug with my heavy breathing after sprinting in the game making the audio jump back and forth through my left and right head phones which was disorienting and irritating, the sound recorder turned on a flashlight when I had no flashlight in my inventory as-well. I was with my friend and she also experienced the “clunkiness”. I don’t see myself playing this as often as I have been. I was hopeful the people who were saying this game shot itself in the foot were lying, but to my disappointment they were not like the person said a few messages ago. Revert the update and take your time. Please.)
It's cool to have unlocks for each prestige but you shouldn't have to buy it after unlocking it
So I play through the game, unlock prestige two and I have to PAY Money (In-game money) to buy the shirt I EARNED. Thats crap. Absolute crap.
Not to mention the fact that now everything takes longer to do, the animations for grabbing shit, putting shit down, are all ten times longer, I get wanting to make it more realistic but this is just annoying, not to mention that with out the tripod you cant see where your placing the camera and half the time it wont let you place it, and then when you do have the tripod its so far away its not able to be seen for ghost orbs... just overall rushed and not worth the release. Very underwhelming and disappointed.
New character models are fine and im sure they will get a ton of additional items but can we have an option to play on old animations for the hand/wwithout the long animations between things

Let me change the journal size back please. I am older and my eyes are not great. I understand this is more immersive but you shrunk the menu, now it is harder to see.
Honestly, not a fan of the new look of how we hold items. Not only does it just feel generally uncomfortable (who the heck holds a flashlight like that), making everything smaller due to it isn't great. (and other people have mentioned that it slows things down)
Maybe i'm stubborn and just don't like change, but that aspect i'm not a fan of.
Here's an idea... Add a character that's brown, not just white, black or Asian. I applaud that you at least added an Asian character model. But what about Latino, Pacific islander, Biracial, Etc?

Console is crashing every game. Ive been trying to play for 2 hours. I was able to finish 1 out of 10. Roll back the update until its fully play tested. This is the saddest thing I've ever experienced
in addition to the new characters, i think the legacy characters would be a good addition remodelled to fit the new models

The new hand poses and animations desperately need to be scaled to fit all FOVs, playing on anything other than the minimum of 70 feels gross
Kinetic needs to start listening to player feedback. Every update in the past year or two has gone towards tedium, padding for time, and visual fidelity. But it seems no one stopped to think "is this actually fun". The game isn't a challenge, it's a chore to play. Putting fancy visuals over that won't change anything. In the course of two years everything got worse. People didn't stop playing this game because they spent hundreds of hours on it. They stopped because the direction of development is actively pushing them away.
I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask anyway. Is there any possibility we could get a seperate keybind for looking at the watch? Having to move to an empty hand to take a better look is difficult to tell with this new update. With the possibility of having it on a seperate keybind, it could potentially be enabled to look at while something is in the right hand, even if you have to have no flashlight to do so.
Female clothing options would be nice.

I think it would be cool if we could get a map editor. When you play a map using the editor you will not get any xp or money but you also do not use up your money or gear. The things you can make maps with are, primitives or in other words cubes, quads, planes, sphere, cylinder you would be able to apple textures to these. There would also be props you can build with like tables, desks and benches and other props you can find in maps. You can define all the different rooms, you can add the spawn point for the players, spawn points for the cursed items and bones.
i think linking your accounts together and whenever the 2 accounts want to play at the same time he gets kicked because i have 2 accounts and i would like to link my accounts because i have a steam and a ps5 account

Once all the issues in regard to the recent update are fixed, I would love black and white suits and ties and sunglasses that make your characters resemble government agents. I would also love trench coats and fedoras for a noir private investigator look and a tactical police-like outfit

There should be much more customization considering this is a million dollar game. Not being able to choose hair styles, eye color, skin color, etc. is pretty stupid, and making shirts you earn by prestiging cost money is pretty dumb too. This customization update feels like something that was thrown together in a few days.
