I bought Phasmophobia for PS5 and randomly, during some matches or at the end of them, the game completely crashes — the same happens to my friends. Both the console and the game are updated with their latest versions. It’s been a frustrating experience; even the Sony console itself reported several errors when the crashes occurred. Up until that point, it was fun completing the challenges, but now it’s getting to a point where I don’t even know if I’ll be able to finish a match, and that’s not good.

I have 4 motion sensors going off like an alarm clock and it won’t register the ghost is hitting them, nor will the video camera record them

I've noticed that the Motion Sensor optional objective can be finicky sometimes, and yeah, I've seen the video cameras just not want to record them either. Usually you have to like, pick them up and place them back down again to get them to work. It's really weird.

Yo i watched a streamer, and they said for nightmare you can cross out ghosts in the journal if you have two evidence you cant find. Like let's say there's no UV and no Ghost orbs. Normally you can't cross it out in NM but if you select UV and Gorbs, you can cross out the ghosts that pop up because they would have had to have shown at least one of those evidence. So I tried this and I ended up being able to cross out nearly every ghost including the one it was.

So does this not work anymore, did I misremember and do this wrong, or was the info bogus in the first place

And i think i messed up somewhere along the way because if I recreate it now it does work.

So spirit box was the hidden evidence.

You can cheese that by resetting your safe file. Do quest - reset - repeat. But will reset your level and event trophies and stuff thats why im asking

Soooo phantoms disappear when you take photos or videos of them. Does this extend to audio recordings as well? I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence on my part, but I’ve noticed that phantoms disappear when I try to audio record them. Is this just some glitch/coincidence on my end or has this been added to the game?

Photos yes they disappear. Videos i am yet to try out myself since i diacussed that yesterday already. Audio should be same as all other ghosts

For events ghosts disappear if they get too close to them

So go as close as you can where the sound is above that line. Then record for a few seconds

Video too takes a bit to show up in the journal sometimes, but for me only when its a recording by a teammate.

My friend says "i got the dots recording" and then I check and there's nothing. Check again in a couple sec and it's there.

finding the room is not hard and can be done on sunny by just using a paramic during a hunt, figuring out the ghost is done by using the various ghost abilities to make up for the lack of evidence and rule out ghosts till you figure em out, if you are unable to do that as of now, i recommend joining in on someone playing no evidence, theres many that would help..

Will the developers ever address xp and money gain by cheating blatantly without us needing to manually report every individual case? They are everywhere now even promoting their web sites in their player name. This does not seem to be a big issue in a non PVP game, but still there is some problems coming from leaving those cheaters alone.

Cheating and selling ingame xp is firstly causing people to start cheating themselves, because they see how easy it is. That leads to a lot of high level players without a clue, undermining the purpose of the level system to show if someone is still learning or knows their way around.

Secondly, players with a high level like me are kicked out of a lot of lobbies because people think I might be cheating or got boosted for money. I cannot even blame them, because a high percentage of players with my level is.

And thirdly, people lose interest in the game, because cheaters cause boring gameplay and/or amuse themselves by doing weird stuff that is not supposed to happen.

Sure, we can report the cheaters/sellers for a thousand times and they will open websites selling it and get another third world steam account with phasmo for a little buck anyway.

Why not use a strict algorithm that collects evidence automatically by player's statistics, if f. e. a) someone's average time in a map is not even 30 seconds, b) someone's correct ghost ratio is over 99% or c) someone is doing 100% of games on 15.00x, d) the level is not even mathematically possible to reach with the number of games played? If you run such a script only once a day, it would probably get rid of most of the cheaters within a week. Even banning them temporarily first would help since they would need a lot of new accounts every day for their income. Making it expensive is how to make it disappear.

I understand it’s super frustrating to be someone who plays a lot and sees a fair share of cheaters.

You can check the lfg section they are all nice primarily, you’ll run into a few rude ppl but they are mainly nice. Most require 21+ because that is where unhinged stuff is

one thing I like to do is to make a few trips from the van to the front door to haul the gear I'm gonna need. Open the door the first trip to spawn the ghost and allow it to start cooling its room. This will make it easier to find, especially if you're on Amateur where the breaker starts on (so the house is already warm)

It helps, for sure, especially for ghosts that have freezing. The house will be the same temp as the weather, and the ghost doesn't spawn until you open the front door.

I fully support this. I've literally made myself a daily task to just enter their lobbies and leave and leave a report, because I know for a fact that they do get banned for sure. The more we do it, maybe with time they will get tired, because I surely won't get tired reporting them It's also scary everything they can do with the cheating engines. I've heard they can even corrupt your save files and you might lose all your progress made so far.
