After some thinking, I realized it would be a better mechanic if instead you could speak to the dead using the telephone. It could lower sanity while using though. Maybe it could be a new cursed item like the "cursed telephone" or something lol

for singleplayer, go in with 3 smudge sticks and a lighter, high behind a picnic table and wait to hunt. then see how ghost reacts if it sees you, observe it as it is around you etc.

what a nice ghost, i was on the last challenge run i needed to do and a demon hunted within like 10 seconds so I got the 5k, challenge mode achievement and doom slayed

Oh, I mean yeah me not staying for an extra hunt lowers the odds of me figuring it out, but on average if I DO stay for the extra hunt in wasting another minute and a half which I could spend on 2 other games
