Fantastic update, really like the new options, computer system, etc. All great. Only thing I don't like is that when evidence is found on camera your screen gets a big white box flashing in it along with bright words telling me what it is I'm seeing. I get that the book told you what it was before but I find it somewhere between spoonfeeding and superfluous. Love the game!

From what I've experienced you gotta release the record button while the sound is still in the little capture section of the display

No they follow the ghost. If you find the ghost room but don’t find orbs until 5 mins after, it’s because the ghost was roaming and the orbs were following the ghost

Thered a chance while lighting the candles before you put lighter away it blows it before noticing. Even one case would make you lose count and then normal blowout might have been its ability. Best way to make sure is light the candles straight from your inventory, not directly with the lighter.

I haven't solved when sound exists or not. EMF 5 is a sound. Ghost singing is a sound, but maybe not a hunt. Firelight is a sound... then some random moaning/singing/laughter are all unique sounds. But you can't really guess what you're about to record yet.

yo can anyone help me i just had a game with friends that one of my friends used the monkey paw and used a wish for knowledge so then ghost orbs was not a evidence type but then we saw ghost orbs in the monitor and it even told us there was ghost orbs so i thought it was a mimic straight away BUT it did dots????? so it threw me off and im researching and apperantly it cant mimic evidences only abilities. Is this new or a glitch? or maybe part of the game the whole time??

Giving unlimited deletes wouldn't be easily abused. If you are going for a ghost photo during a hunt, with 5 photo chances per hunt, you would have to delete them mid hunt and continue trying. And that's assuming you had all 5 slots. Sure they could rinse and repeat, but ghost hunting can have multiple failures before a success

I had an interesting one. We were playing Edgefield on Professional and detected a Myling. When it hunted, I began the L3 Incense during the end of the grace period. When the ghost appeared, it walked at me as if there were no smudge. It was definitely burning the whole time. It was so odd that the ghost did not freeze and I assumed it was an event and died. I was also crouched if that matters.

When the ghost slammed a door out of a hunt or event, it showed clear indication it was a Yurei. Now you walk into a room and get a door slammed instantly in your face. Logically, in the old update- would instantly indicate Yurei. Now not.

It doesn't. All ghosts can interact with the door in the same way. Just happens more with yurei cause it happens also with it's ability to drain sanity.

if you have hiding spots enabled, there are sometimes piles you can hide behind in the tent
otherwise, the tent itself acts as an LOS blocker, even if it has windows, and can be a (really bad) hiding spot
same goes for the doors between the living room and the kitchen in Willow St, they have windows but act as an LOS blocker
of course, if the ghost sees you go in, then it will pop through the door regardless
also, ghosts track electronic equipment, so if you snap a photo during a hunt, yeet the camera, and turn off your flashlight in general or it will come for you if its in range to sense it

headcam sometimes falls under the map on VR when I bump into a door or a wall but it's still equipped and if turned on there's no way to turn it off which makes the ghost always know my location
