That takes practice. Maybe start doing Nightmare, if you have it unlocked. It'll get you down to 2-5 ghost, depending on the evidence. It's a great way to learn and.. Yeah looping takes practice.

Isn't this unreliable to do based on a single hunt since there are so many ghosts with regular speed? You can get a like a 6.25x multiplier with 3 evidence and minimal consequence on TW which would cover the occasional jinn, mare, Goryo, Yurei as well as make it easier to figure out other normal speed ghosts

I just feel like the loading times and the many ghosts you can get which require more than a single hunt would make this inefficient across many games. I could see doing multiple hunts and looking for ghost traits (up until the very time consuming tests like no goryo roam and banshee scream) on the higher multipliers though. Overall at least one evidence seems like it might save enough time to be slightly more efficient.

Of course I haven't calculated this but this is what I would have thought

Even ghost with regular speed can be identified from one hunt. Oni, Phantom, Obake, Hantu, Wraith.. And if you don't get it those, just go with Goryo. Time x XP on CWW is much faster than normal games.

Its usually like 30s-1min round, and there are quite alot of ghosts u can guess by one hunt (wraith, phantom, moroi, raiju, obake, mimic (not by hunt but orbs), thaye, deogen, banshee (parabolic if lucky enough), myling, twins, oni, hantu) thats more than half of the ghosts, and 2-4k per 30-60s is way more efficient than normal games

But it does still leave jinn and yokai (unless you've the time to do a jinn and yokai test with all these other considerations like Myling footsteps), Onryo, goryo, Yurei, mare, demon, mimic (unless you check orbs), etc. I guess at that rate you do have a 55/45 chance of knowing the ghost off one hunt but it feels wholly unrewarding to do grinding with such luck based efficiency

Question: My friend and I just had a ghost blow out a candle 10+ times. The candle was right above the crucifix, there were no other candles nearby, and the ghost never hunted even after the third candle blow and it ended up being an onryo. Can anyone explain how this is possible?

Yeah that's why I said it might be worth it from a monetary standpoint but rather unfulfilling once I remembered those trait tests. You can also get a 9x multiplier pretty easily with 1 evidence. And to be fair nightmare and insanity are just bad difficulties for money efficiency you can get a game arguably easier than amateur with 4.13x or so multiplier

Guys you know that event where the lights turn red for like 30 seconds and flicker

Yokai is easy to test. There's no jinn test, because the breaker is broken with 12.97. But you'll still come out at 60% correct ghosts and if you try to do the objectives, it'll give you like 4600 xp with all 3 objectives and correct ghost. That's a lot for a 2 minute game.

I had a close rev on my first Apoc 3 run, but I oopsed and did it on multiplayer and not singleplayer since it was when singleplayers lobbies had the audio bug. So even though I got it, no trophy/ID card., 2nd time was a deo and I got stuck in front office and died while doing the final objective. 3rd time I got a wraith that kept teleporting to me, but I got my ID card and trophy finally with that one.

It was ok, I don't like the whole community thing as the only event. Feels a lot like they phoned this event in, if I'm being 100% honest. I've seen what they can do, event-wise, from past events and this one seems like they just tossed a million feet of garland everywhere and called it a day. Krampus model is great, but the rest is kind meh. Really wish they had done something different than a re-hash of the halloween one, but it is what it is.

Yep, and that's why even though I'm critical of the event, I get it. They were already locked into this format. I just hope they understand that we KNOW they can do more. And even if they would have said, "hey y'all, we heard ya, and we're making changes in the future, but we didn't have time to re-engineer this whole thing, so it is what it is", I feel like a lot of the community would have been way more understanding. But 0 communication about them hearing us with it kinda sucks.

They didn't list any changes other than the one for this event, which were almost nothing other than the leaderboard. There is nothing in there about anything regarding changes for future events, and if you want to base "we heard you" as saying that they will take the feedback to heart, than you are much more trusting of things than I am. Especially since I've seen really great suggestions from this community take YEARS to be implemented. Hell, even something as basic as being able to keep scrolling through the menus at each side took over 2 years to come to the game.

Again, not bashing them as I KNOW they have a lot on their plates with the stuff they are taking on for console, their existing roadmap, etc. but I've seen them as a team of 3 do a better job with events.
