the only outlier is Omniscient Star which can technically support every ring, just weaker compared to having the right attribute

There are some early stigs/weapons which you can get for them but they have no meta use at this point.

G1 mats will probably be the limiting factor there

yes, but you can sidetrack into forging weapons in the foundry for 150 AE for collection score. salvaging those gives you 3 honkai shards back, the same amount you would get from just buying them for AE

there are cases where non-signature weapons can become better than original signature weapons. you especially see this with part 1 valkyries

When tuned, the weapon:

• Cannot be salvaged.
• Cannot be used to craft a PRI-ARM that is not its own.
• Can be used to craft its respective PRI-ARM.
• Gives you Divine Key bonuses such as +10 accountwide attack (see the Divine Keys Menu).

-# Please note that if you pull multiple copies of a Stellar Key (Part 2 Divine Key) you tune the one you will be upgrading - note that locked copies cannot be used to upgrade its Synergy level until unlocked, which takes 24h.

edison set is fine for budget. She generally tends to use the g4 handel set from foundry as dps (though it is expensive so if you are farming that so it'll take a while), or a mix of stigs for MA depending on what boss she's used on

Go the direct crafting route. Transmute is "cheaper" if you have and sacrifice the g3 stig it needs
Getting that g3 stig from zero then transmuting is hella expensive in comparison so just go direct craft.

fair warning though g4 sets tend to take like half a year to fully farm when starting from scratch so if you're getting this make it a long term goal cause it'll take a while

shigure kira is more of a support but there was a time where she was situationally used more of a dps against huodou with her type counter. Was still worst than HoR though

She also was used in triple support where she's kind of a sub dps.

As far as Ana stigs goes, keep in mind you do want to stay in close range to the enemy.

By modern standards none of these are relevant anymore however but as long as you're clear, we can help you with non meta help too.

so after triggering it there's two effects

• teammates deal 30% more total damage but only with weapon actives. Total damage is a particular kind of multiplier out of many others but you prob already know that
• enemies take 200% atk of ice damage from weapon damage. Tbh the wording is a bit weird here and i'm not fully sure if it's going off of kira's only or the valk dealing the weapon active. However the main thing i want to say is this is a separate instance of damage and not a buff/debuff multiplier

It's kind of like marco polo's 2pc effect

When Combo Hit exceeds 25, Combo or Charged ATKs deal 250% ATK of bonus Physical DMG on hit. CD: 5s.
this is just a separate instance of damage but not a multplier magnifying what you're already doing.

As opposed to marco T

Gain 15% Physical DMG. When Combo Hit Count exceeds 30, gain another 15% Physical DMG.
these are actually multipliers boosting your base damage

i guess the main thing is to see it says some % of atk, but wording can be pretty inconsistent over time in this game so do keep an open mind towards all this

If you only have xdc and LV in your current p2 s rank roster you are not really in any position to pull an aop, team coverage and generally decent teams are far more important than a gacha aop is, especially since gacha aops are usually limited to 1-2 ring types.
As for the carnival banner It's generally not recommended to spend crystals on it because reruns in general don't have a lot of value. And because the pity from that banner won't transfer beyond this version, that means that you need to have enough crystals to guarantee what you want to get before you even pull on it and ideally do singles from a point where you can expect an S rank soon because if you do get the S rank earlier in the 10x pull then every pull after that is basically wasted

Should I Pull AstralOps?

NOO CAPTAIN!

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

And then all this for an older character who has in expectation a shorter lifespan in meta than new releases
