the way you built up pity was unrewarding (missed on spending event next patch but that isn't too major) and very risky (if you got just one of valk or weapon but not the other, then it is very awkward)

this game doesn't have 50/50 on the gacha and you can plan out alot of your crystal gains

well for now since we have so few days left...

if you still want to get rita then wait until you save enough crystals to guarantee weapon first. Then for anything left over, you can try rolling on valkyrie banner

that way if you get lucky on valk before hard pity, you don't need to rely on luck to get the weapon.

If you're fine with giving up on rita then just let the pity carry over to the next valk of intertest and roll for her instead when you can guarantee both valk and weapon

meta wise i would suggest you to give up on rita. We've already gone past alot of her top use scenarios for her patch, so you'll benefit more from a new release early in her own patch instead. Granted again i don't know q-manifold that well so situations can be simpler there

every new valk will be good in some way. Ideally you get everything but obviously that's not realistic

so meta advice is more about getting what you can properly get in full, and making full use of it

anyway we kind of got side tracked there. I still haven't explained to you why VBm stigs are so much better than FHM. Should we get back to that?

the main thing i want to say here is that stigmata from astral ring valks mainly emphasize their 2pc and 3pc effects. These effects do not increase from levels or upgrades.

So you can skip upgrading VBm's stigs without losing too much (M and B still have support buffs but it's not much to be worth it for now). Prisms are very precious early on.

FHM's effects is actually quite weak but early on you don't have anything better to use and you get it very affordably from the beginner shop. The main effects of FHM you care about are is the 2pc, (and also the m piece if your dps is fire type).

So take the time later to look through the descriptions

maxing out FHM to 50 doesn't really do much (it'll help the m piece if your dps is fire but that's about it)

(technically you just need to max star it. So 1/50 is fine. Levels only improve the stats and not the effects) eh ignore this. this is too much detail for now lol

and she's popular and well performing early in her meta life so people may have sunk even more on her with actual crystals/money too

even though SS FoV was the meta standard, S2 FoV can still retain

S2 was the main one i know for her full meter on ult

SS has freeze trauma which can cut down on a hold WA on some fights (huodou and kalpas) but that's kind of minor

but yeah this does bring me to another point i wanted to say. The rank meta does reach a point where it doesn't matter as massively once you get past the major ranks for the valk

If you're waiting until you feel ready, the main thing i would consider is if you have one or two recent gacha valks that can be fully supported (matching ring type and tags) for a full team(s)

of what you listed, the main ones i would be looking at are

• HLE (recent)
• FWS
• JDS(Songque)
• DAFL(Sena)
  Do all of these have their signature weapons too?

Do you have anything else? Did I miss any gacha valk with astral ring?

in the future it might best to screenshot the valkyrie menu (use the grid button at the bottom left)

I have HLE< JDS, and DAFL with weapons, but only HLE and JDS have their stigmas and only HLE maxed, also i do have enought to have full team of 3 for them giving HLE, BaDum, VKm, and JDS, Mad love, and sena, but neither mad love or sena have their stigmas and only sena have her weapon all level 1

assuming all these valks have their weapons then some teams i see are

• JDS dps with HLE and Sena supports
• senadina dps with FWS and HLE supports. These supports are actually some of the better ones too
  but both of these dps are quite old and won't brute force non best scenarios too well

maybe you can breakthrough next patch when you pick up the new valk with her weapon

i would only consider crafting vbm's 3pc if you have an RoO leader (vita or fdd)

but for now keep in mind your resources are limited and we need to prioritize

prioritize the next patch new valk's upgrades first. You can consider breaking through around that time if you plan to breakthrough eventually and not just stay in masters forever

with the new valk you can build teams like

• ||new mei|| dps, FWS and HLE supports
• HLE support with FWS and ||new mei|| as supports

both of these are ||grail of infinitude|| teams and both valks are recent. The supports are matching in tags too so you'll be able to play both teams to their proper potential

(VBm doesn't technically match but HLE can get away with it because she can go into negative sp)

or maybe some GoI team on one boss and JDS dps with sena and thelema/VBm but the JDS team will perform much much worse than the first

at exalted, there is a third MA fight but this fight doesn't matter much. Just clear it with anything else

look through the valkyrie's skills to see if they have it in the first place. Some characters have something else called a charged attack which won't qualify.

it's commonly a move where you hold attack. You may need to perform it at specific points in an attack sequence (white comet). Other valks may have other inputs or attack methods that qualify as combo attacks without holding attack.

if any valkyrie gives team elemental breach in their skill set/kit somewhere (Senadina, Vita, Fate Defying Dragon Coralie) then maybe consider them more only if they're new. These are often best as supports (but granted not by much)

so if you don't have 40k i will go as far to tell you to skip FDD if her banner expires

it's not that power creep is rampant in this game. FDD will still get good use even if you get her rerun not too long later. It's just that the value of recent astral ring valks are quite similar and balanced now and it's more ideal to get 100% mileage of your crystals.

My advice is to save crystals for either ||Luna dkey|| next patch or just for 8.8 outright; in part 2, characters are pretty much bricked without their weapon, so there’s not a lot of point of pulling unless you have enough pulls for character and gear (about 145 pulls, worst case)

Dkey characters are typically less good than a new release but they’re a lot cheaper so if you own the character ||and Luna is free this patch so you will|| they’re a lot less expensive

here are the full details

i think waiting for three teams might be excessive. Maybe 1 or 2 properly built full teams (matching ring type and tags) with recently released dps (leader) is ok to make the push (newer releases are more emphasized)

some people want to prepare as much as possible but bear in mind abyss rotates across many very different scenarios to cover for different teams across the past two or so years. It would be unreasonable to prepare to that extent. I know you're not saying to this level but I starting with an extreme to give a reference point.

It's normal to take losses in abyss. The overall idea is to find some tier to float in between wins and losses. Crystal wise, you want to at least achieve exalted agony 3 to profit from master's red lotus.

Anyway familiarize yourself with the changes that happens on breakthrough and determine if it's what you're interested in the game. As QT said, it's valid to not do so. While most players do breakthrough, a minority do prefer not to, or have broken through and regret it. Breaking through is not reversible.

That's actually crazy to get with no locks (stabilizers) and the 10k NCCs you had? Congrats but also try to be wary in the future of how much this may cost for other valks.

keep in mind after breaking through abyss becomes a place where you compete against other players. It's not merely about doing well enough like in q-manifold

and naturally the higher you go the more you compete against players that know what they're doing. Once you reach a level where people are playing with the same valks, gears, ranks, and also executing properly, etc, then the finer difference is what can matter

so these can be your affixes, divine keys and gene limit, emblems, dorm squad bonus

i actually would've recommended holding off. Rita may be new so out of everything right now, i do agree she is best to spend affixes on. However, because reaching to this rank/tier (imo high RL and nirvana) takes time, by the time you reach there Rita may no longer be as commonly used and you may value your resources on future new units, or maybe you'll find a more specific scenario

actually most of rita's cycles in abyss have already passed by for this patch too (they tend to happen early in the patch for the first four or so weeks)

anyway I'm not saying to regret anything though. You got a huge steal so dw about Rita lol. Just trying to explain all this for future reference

this sort of closeness in scores can be semi-common to give an idea
(but also you can just find whales that greatly gaps away from you too)

eh i encourage you to actually figure out if the damage boost would be significant or not first. For example if you're already clearing in q manifold or arena for crystals, clearing any faster won't yield more rewards

similarly once you reach superstring (exalted abyss), if you're already in first place, getting more points isn't going to change your standings and rewards (it does make it harder for people to surpass you though)

basically the idea is to get what's good enough without spending more than you need to

but anyway it's not a big deal overall. Again alot of this is debatable and your perspective is valid. My advice is just conservative because again, you can easily empty your resources with affixes

and depending on how much you care or what kind of player you are, you can certainly overflow on affix resources eventually

For stigs you can run Glut T FHM MB on RC/VBs and Roald Amundsen on VBm (ideally you'd run Tsio, her sig set, but you don't have enough Prisms for that)

because in exalted you can get a little bit of the rewards just by starting an abyss, doing 1 damage, and instantly leaving

In masters Redlotus is PVE, you try and beat time, in Exalted it's PVP, and in the lower tiers people mostly don't play so if you do it at all you're beating them and getting crystals

All of the options are available from war treasury and none give much more then ER crystals and dorm level so you can use when you feel like it or when you have gotten all of the options except one from other sources. Notably AE isn't in ER so it isn't recommended to get her from it

Mostly the reason to use AE imaginions for a new player are

• Upgrade Gacha weapon by turning them into Honkai shards (you don’t have one)
• Upgrade VBM weapon by turning them into Honkai shards
• Craft bounty weapons to get lightning gene limit and dkey

If you have 150 you could consider it but I definitely wouldn’t upgrade it past level 35 (you probably shouldn’t anyway but especially so here)

Yeah I’d focus on upgrading VBM weapon (her signature, blast hammer blazing red) as the priority

And then once you’ve maxed that you might have already gotten a cope scythe from gacha or will be in a better position to decide

Then if you still have AE imaginions spare you could craft onyx iron and level it to 35 and if you don’t you could craft carmine steel

(Level 35 is the reccomended maximum because at level 35 you can break it down into components and get back almost everything you put in, and after that you can’t, but if you have a ton of Honkai shards and use her a lot that might not hold)

Mostly they're very slow to accumulate over time, one of the bigger ways is to either spend for them or to get event boxes that have skins and then you can choose to open them for coupons instead.

it depends a lot on the skin. Some aren't available at all, some are available on rare occasions, some cost coupons, some cost bchips, some cost crystals

in time capsules sometimes you get skins available for asterite iirc as well
