So this might be long, so brace yourself. I last played honkai when the herrscher of origin event was up, which allowed to farm her full gear, and I did. Fast forward to now, I spent b chips on the returnee bundle to get a Silverwing N:EX from the choice box between her, aponia and horse durandal. I currently have in my battlesuits the following: Lunar Vow from the free event, HoO completely built with PRI Arm, full gear coralie at s rank, Infinite Ouroboros with her signature weapon (Pri and an extra copy of normal) and darwin. I have Dea anchora (with Lucia and generic fire stigma {the 4 star one} from the foundry). I also stupidly pulled for Shadowdimmer from the returnee supply since she looked cool and seemed to do big pp dmg. I am running her on fair judgement and signature stigma and she does less damage in the abyss than my coralie wth. I am trying to get her weapon (I still have 30 days still). I have a good amount of war treasury currency. Keep in mind that I havent done the majority of story, including the open world aside from sakura samsara. I have no team in abyss that can get me past the Agony Tier. What should I do? What team should I build. Pls give me answers. Are any war treasury characters good enough to salvage my situation or should I just save? What characters do I invest in. Do I leave the weapon for Shadowdimmer as it is and save for the new Mei? Also, since there is the Anniversary for the AS and EU servers, which gives a character choice box, will it be available for SEA players? If yes, then what should I pick. Keep in mind I only like starchasm nyx or hoRebirth purely bc I love seele, if the choices had to be based on pure free will, otherwise I will pick meta. What do I do to salvage this account?

ignore the rest of the valks because they're powercrept, you might be able to do something with HoO but she's still gonna be awkward in your situation but maybe we can assemble a team with a ranks with het for now

wt got no meta valk so just collect the base s ranks that are in elysian realm, same for the a ranks but in their own shop

also absolutely save for next patch, the more the better ||so your LV is useful and new mei will help you a lot||

also you must spoiler tag anything in 8.7 because global doesn't have any information yet

obviously this is with the assumption that you don't want to leave this account at all, i honestly think that for meta reasons there's a lot of value to just make an alt and keep this account for other stuff, but if you're willing to take the lomg route to fix this account or refuse to have an alt then there's things that can be done but it will feel awkward for a while

while that may be the best weapon for chrono navi ai chan, do note ai chan is very out of date now. Even at her best she falls behind modern valkyries heavily (no astral ring most alarmingly). In such cases, spending cheap and excessive materials can be ok, but you clearly are short on various materials especially if you are to craft it. I cannot recommend doing it as a result.

• should save up crystals to get a next new patch release valk together with her signature weapon (40k is a really safe total amount)
• in the meantime should keep things cheap with what teams they build and use so they can save the important materials for the new gacha releases.

In general the standard pulling plan for low investment/f2p is try to get the new valk + weapon as often as possible and don't really pull anything else and don't pull for a valk when you can't afford weapon.

So my general recommendation is get the new valk when she comes out next patch and use the teams mentioned above before that

There isn't a big value difference between different valks because of the fact that all valks are support and dps at the same time depending on where you place them on the team.

Tbh we're already a bit late into Rita's banner I would recommend to save up 16.8k and spend anything above that on Ritas ( Miss espionage )banner so if you do get lucky you can instantly get her weapon, if you don't get Rita then save for the next version you'll be able to some nice stuff there

If you've already spend some pulls on her banner that's fine just start saving now, the reason being that you never want a character without their weapon since it's a huge DMG loss ( usually 30-40% ) and at the same time you loose utility which could sometimes brick a valk's gameplay

For some ideas where to get crystals check the pins, even though the beginner income is good it's a bit hard to farm enough crystals for a valk + their weapon so hence why I recommend to save until you can guarantee the weapon first and then try to get the valk

Maybe my wording was a bit off, of course it's a rather decent amount of crystals but it's something totally achievable especially by beginners in this short time when taking their income into consideration

it's really alot or not much depending on how you want to look at it. Don't be intimidated by the raw numbers but rather learn how they convert.

280 crystals is 1 pull
17k is roughly 60 pulls

it still takes alot of time and work to save this much, but you also will save this much and more pretty regularly across patches. It alone doesn't afford everything.

it's good for a beginner for being a stronger ice dps set that's easy to get early on from beginner event, but it's not something to expect to use forever. It's horribly out of date in the meta.

you can loosely think of peary being a stronger scott, but it'll cost a bit more to upgrade

peary > rasputin > robert peary > ana > willows

and there's similar lists for other elements

but the cost of getting ana and above is too much (g3 and g4) in foundry, and they're still out of date. By the time beginners have enough to get those, they should already be getting new gacha valks that are far superior to any of that.

Edit: rasputin on the other hand is a case of being too costly while being too weak

Beginner Weapon Option

Hi, Captain!

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.

if you want to try out SSb (beware Snowy Sniper and Sugary Starburst exists), then turn off her envoy of paradise skill so she doesn't forcibly swap when you have enough sp to ult

(if you can play well enough to know when she's going to ult and not have it interrupt HoHE's actions then sure you can leave it on)

SSb primarily supports with her QTE. The QTE is special where unlike other characters, she doesn't forcibly swap you to her.

However with envoy on, if she can ult (enough sp and no active cooldown ongoing) her next QTE becomes ult instead, and you'll swap to her

If SSb's ult comes up in the middle of HoHE's attacking, then you can't use it without stopping HoHE's actions. You can avoid swapping but then you're missing an entire valk's worth of support effects from HoHE's cycle.

turning envoy off just makes it simpler. If you have the sp to ult, you can still swap to her manually to do it if you really need to. Do note Envoy does have other minor benefits you'll miss out on though

at SS rank, Kira would restore enough sp that you can ult every cycle (you might still need extra hold attacks though)

so you basically want your dps to swap in after the holder of FHM swaps out

in kira's case, even if you don't control her, QTE does put her on field

so after QTE > she waits a bit > leaves field is when FHM will trigger for her

the final answer in any situation is to try it out though. It's a good way to learn and HI3 has so many small factors that the true answer may not always be obvious.

||If you're in a hurry / whaling / very lucky you can also grab Badum or FDD from Carnival next patch, and they'd be replacing VBM||

||Mei should function fine with Luna + VBM but a second symbiosis support would help, so if they are avail you'd switch to them||

also going back to PS, the recommendation of getting her weaponless is also exceptional.

Normally a signature weapon is very significant.

• 30-40% personal damage. Practically mandatory for the meta if you want to use her as a dps. Since i'm telling you to skip it, don't expect to use Sushang as a dps very well.
• some might have important utility to make the valk function well on the weapon. PS is not one of those cases though.

But we're skipping it here because at that point you would need to spend crystals for it, but your crystals are already strapped for higher priorities for now.

Sushang is also not as new now, so her dps scenarios aren't going to be as common anymore. I rather you spend the crystals on a weapon for a newer valk instead.

Luna dps will also overlap with sushang's dps scenarios a bit (both are bleed damage).

You might be wondering why not reroll for the new mei instead. Normally that would be ideal but you would miss out on the free luna in this case.

Aside from Sushang rerun and ||luna||, there's also carnival which is full of reruns next patch (edit: FWS Kiana, FDD coralie, and PAWS helia all have symbiosis. Mainly you would consider FWS or FDD there). But we only get 20 free rolls there which is still only a low chance, and reruns in general are just not recommended to spend actual gacha rolls on.

|| for the new MEI you'd have to end SO once the first finisher becomes available with 1 symbioses supports since she wants 900 SP per SO rotation and can't regen enough with only 1 symbioses support||
|| the idea is to do one SO rotation with mei, ( ult x 4 ca x3) then go to your supports to regen SP and then do that again, one rotation needs 900 SP and each SP regen action ( supports have 2 of those, their ultimate + another one depending on the valk) roughly restores 300 SP sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less. Symbioses supports also effect the initial SP that mei has when she enters SO which then again makes it even harder to reach that 1800 SP goal for MEI to do 2 rotations. So as i've previously mentioned you'd just end SO early after her first rotation to avoid being stuck in it while not being able to ult. Generally 1 symbioses unit is far better than having none and it should still be fine especially in the early game/ lower ranks once you reach level 81+. In the end it's just up to you if you're willing to reroll sure it's a nice upgrade but you'll be able to use mei's full potential with future units at some point ||

HLE on Sa, Rita Sonq on Sprout prolly, HoHe cope on Hov. There's ref libraries or searching bilibili but mostly those get you the BiS comps

so it's about learning the bosses

in this case we can see that Sa is an SD enemy, which means you use your best SD team there, and since iirc your sonque has no weapon that means HLE. Meanwhile sprout of wishing has ice resist, so thats another reason to put HLE on the other one

since HLE is strong on Sa and weak on sprout, HLE goes on Sa

For HoV, we're using Hohe because HoV has lightning immune (which rules out lightning charas) and phys resist, but since Hohe is type countered and HLE wants your ice supps I guess it's possible you'd be better off with phys anyway

There are 11 multiplier categories, though most valkyries don't use all of them at the same time, and some of these don't actually exist yet. The categories in bold are true multipliers - they never dilute, only multiply, even with themselves.

3: Elemental Damage Dealt
4: Elemental Damage Taken
5: Total Damage Dealt
6: Total Damage Taken
7: Typing Bonus
8: Dirac Weather Typing Bonus
9: Host Specific Physical Taken Debuff
10: Host Specific Elemental Taken Debuff
11: Host Specific Total Taken Debuff

Any bonuses within a single category add together. Anything from seperate categories multiplies together to give the final result.

As an small example, assuming no other bonuses, having 20% physical and 20% physical just gives 40% physical as your final result. Having 20% physical and 20% TDM gives you 1.2 * 1.2 = 1.44 = 44% damage increase as final result.

For true multipliers, they multiply by their stated amount regardless. As an example, Thales M gives 2% host fire taken per stack, up to 10 stacks. Standalone, this is 1.02^10 ~ 1.22, not 1.02*10 = 1.2.

The ER point has some caveats in that you only need to clear the lowest difficulty to level up, if you want to use them at higher difficulties you do need to spend some resources on them.

So Elysian Realm actually auto-adjust levels and skills to max temporarily for any valk you use in it. Note this doesn't max out valk ranks and doesn't apply to gears.

For deep sequence, the weekly rewards can be done with any valk. (this is the main thing that matters for higher difficulties) There's no special benefit to using different valks for this. So there's no concern with using a valk you don't have well built there.

The main purpose of using different valks in ER is just for their non-time limted crystals. You can get 620 per valk via

• Shallow Sequence
  • the game provides you with a trial valk rather than your own if you prefer
• Leveling them up to 15 in ER
  • can be done by using lite mode, clearing one floor and quitting. Do this at a difficulty you can manage
  • some people prefer to spam shallow sequence or full void difficulty runs too
• Getting all of their own ely signets into collection
  • no need to clear a full run for this. Select your ely signets, advance to the next floor (you might have to clear it. idr) and quit

overall you really don't need to invest much for outdated valks that you are getting for ER

• For example, Herrscher of Reason is a battlesuit of Bronya's, and so are Wolf's Dawn, Yamabuki Armor, and Silverwing: N-EX!

Many battlesuits that share the same Character (e.g. Fenghuang of Vicissitude and Herrscher of Sentience; Fu Hua) have very different roles and thus different applications in your teams as they have COMPLETELY different skills and gameplay.

While signature weapons are typically important and best for their intended user, undine's tale is so old that Swallowtail opts to use a different weapon (path to acheron iirc but i don't know if there's something else now).

• HoRb Seele isn't currently available but she's quite old and will prob become more available as time goes on. I suspect she and her gears might become available in reserve work battle pass shop but this is no guarantee anytime soon. Search FAQ crystallum for more details on the rate of income for this shop but beware it's slow.
• PtAcheron weapon is SN's sig weapon. Available from Exchange shop. Check mirage in the pins for more details on how to get blue weapon resonances for this shop.
• Columbus TM and Dirac B are all G3 stigmata from the foundry.
• RS durandal valk and her weapon are currently gacha only.
• Project Bunny ELF can be obtained from spending events

HoRb's primary support role is to provide impair debuff to enemies, which reduces their defense stat. The def stat is what deducts from physical damage.

Swallowtail is a physical damage dealer so this is highly relevant.

Herrscher of Sentience is an alternative (the former main impair applier before horb was released) which you can get from war treasury so maybe get her to use in the meantime. The beginner event does provide nebulous duality which is her best sp restoring glove to keep her ultimate up every team rotating cycle.

as for the other support, consider Terminal Aide Prometheus, Reverist Calico Pardofelis, or Valkyrie Blastmetal Coralie

I think some of this is just poor consistency in wording across time though

but on paper there's a distinct difference between the skill granted by the weapon itself, and the weapon active button that newer valkyries innately have that overrides the former.

Yes looks somewhat damage capped to me. You are probably running into a combination of lacking ATK from dorm level and dkeys while also running an suboptimal support in JDS without weapon.
