Beginner Weapon Option

Hi, Captain!

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.

• Kiana can start her jump/CA sooner. FDD should ult afterwards by 984

• I'm not sure if I understand the purpose of swapping to FWS mid p1 was for. Did staying on HLE ended up slower?

• you were talking about farming ARI during transition but the timer during transition still counts down until you break the central spear. Therefore doing more than you need to may not actually be efficient. You could break the central spear by the time the initial timer at the top center reaches 7s but in this video you took until 5s remaining. Most refs i've seen go HLE > FDD > FWS (destroy center spear) and maybe back to HLE QTE

• if you want to farm extra ARI during transition, get some evades from the spears. You missed the evade at 1:05. Other evades can happen but will need luck on positioning. (if you go HLE > FDD > FWS to break the center spear by 7s, you can go to the bottom left or right to pray for the last set of raining spears to land on you to evade off of)

• Both p1 and p2 had excessive FWS WAs

• i'm not sure if i understand the swapping before outburst. You should already be buffed from transition.

• maybe consider using FWS WA here before outburst so she doesn't need to wait for it to hit during outburst. At this point you're kinda waiting for ARI to regen and aren't doing major damage with HLE anyway. Can even start p2 with FWS.

• maybe try outburst > HLE WA WA Ult > FWS qte ult (can add a wa > immediate cancel if you need to gather shards) > FDD qte ult (no wa) > HLE WA WA ult > end outburst

HLE QTE can be nice for sp restoration and/or damage but the bulk of damage in this fight is largely from SD shard management and outburst.

The former is tricky when HLE animations cost so much time and she's shortening the max hp phase duration (it's bad if it reverts early > you do current hp damage > then pick up shards late and deal max hp after current hp is already reduced)

pink hp is max hp. SD enemies take less damage during this time compared to the regular red hp.

That's why HLE's ability to reduce the duration pink hp remains active is beneficial.

However it also makes it tricky because it reduces the time you have to use and benefit from effects that specifically only affects max hp (FWS weap, or SD shard drops)

because obviously if it reverts before you get a chance to apply those, you'll start reducing regular hp again. After that point you aren't making full efficacy of the max hp reduction.

Incidentally, slashed hp is removed max hp, whereas gray hp is removed current hp.

It’s possible there will be a giveaway at some point but no guarentees there and otherwise the only method is waiting for her to enter the free battlepass

you need to start expending your roster somewhere, atm Miss espionage is still a recommended pulls, since you already have her just get her weapon and save after that
for some team ideas, you can use ME ( miss espionage ) + valkyrie blast metal + reverist calico/terminal aide
you should get a copy of reverist calico from the starter manual and can obtain terminal aide from the asterite shop
VBm can be unlocked via p2 story and you can also obtain her signature weapon.
if you're still low level you might not even have some of the things i've mentioned unlocked

paladin is 24 a patch but is about twice as expensive as knight and isnt twice the value, youd be better off with two knights long run

(now, not all physical dps are identical but badum happens to support all of them currently usable)

when looking for damage type your team is dealing, you mainly look at the leader. The elements of the supports aren't as relevant

90% the important thing is that your dps matches the weather and the other two party members can support the leader

but 95% of the time your dps goes in first

stage bonuses = weather buffs, for instance current abyss is lightning weather which strengthens lightning damage and weakens physical damage

so you probably run a lightning valkyrie first slot (ideally vita)

but your supports don't have to be lightning and indeed they often shouldn't

you would want to run FDD or Hofi or VBM even though they're fire

because they support vita

when looking at a newer valk with the astral ring system there are two big things to look at

• ring type
• tags

So badum is LoA and needs people with heavenly shift (loa tag) on her team, but she can go on world star or grail of infinitude teams as well

since she has the tags for those leaders

tags you mainly look at if they're not as leader, so they're acting as support

every ring type has a tag it matches with

so you want to match the leader's ring type to the tags of the supports

Data suggests that it does exist (starting at 76 pulls), but it is not confirmed anywhere by HoYoverse so we can't be 100% sure.

Averages and Worst Cases (Valkyrie + All Gear)

• Part 1 vs 2 Average - 140 Pulls (40k ) vs 78 pulls (22k )
• Part 2 "Soft pity valk" + average wep 106 pulls (30k )
• Worst Case:
• Part 1 vs 2 Max - 300 pulls (84k ) vs 150 pulls (42k )

simpler answer: 85 pulls for valk hard pity. 60 pulls for weapon hard pity. put them both together and you get 145 pulls total. each pull is 280 crystal cost or 1 card. this totals to roughly ~40k per full valk

ideally you would get all your stigs from the gacha and box so you won't need to craft them. again it's a last resort

crafting a newer stig costs 2 prism (and fuel) but trashing them only gives back 1.

but dupes of any you get from the gacha rarely have any use so it's largely fine to trash them for prisms once you have one copy of each

maybe that's enough for now but tbh i do want to discuss a few other topics

• you said earlier you only want to "clear" but that idea is faulty for late game and i would like to explain why. HI3's meta late game is about competing against other players so clearing poorly would be the same outcome as not clearing. Can go into more detail with showing abyss here.
• I mentioned earlier team building early on is awkward since you don't have much AR valks to work with. So knowing what to use in the meantime might be good right now if you're not rerolling later

If you have vita and have fund to afford her weapon + new valk + weapon
you can consider vita weapon,
Vita would have fewer use cases as dps going fwd but can still use her as support depending on roster and her weapon seem to have significant buffs (I'm not 100% sure so correct me if I'm wrong)

Ideally you would save for future stuff but some exceptions can be made depending on roster, funds, future plans, goals and how much you like the character

not really, you have to consider that the same buffs are addative and don't multiply with each other, so if you already have 50% ele dmg dealt and 50% total dmg dealt that other 10% ele dmg from vita's weapon won't give you a 10% dmg buff but rather a 5% dmg increase

the only exception to this are buffs taht are labeld as independent, which p2 weapons usually also have but it's normally a 2% buffs at sync 1

hm i wonder if something is gating the newer dialogues you're missing. See if you can make progress in other chapters, or clear other things in the modes such as going through all the dialogue of the "egg" menu

i vaguely recall both conversations that occur immediately after the run, and also finding npcs in the lobby "open world" to run up to talk to

also if you're quitting on a specific floor, see if you can progress one floor further

but you prob are already observing this issue with full completed weekly runs

depending on how many crystallum you have rn you could also consider picking up a valk in the normal battlepass shop but that depends on your situation really

every valkyrie except hohe and HoV are farmable from the asterite shop and will do decent enough

getting good teams is really just something you'll get over time and which you can't really force by over investing into old characters
