You’ll want to start with PS to drop the hitcount asap, do her full combo even tho that’s normally a dps thing. It’ll be a 2 SO run, 3 possible with ranked chenchen. Before you SO go to PS to get bleed up, in general you want to keep bleed up constantly if you can

even though fdd is a rather good support in the astral ring specialisations she can support the general recommendation is to still focus on newer releases instead of back pulling for the reason that are mentioned in the faq i'll link you in a second, in fdds case specially other supports aren't that far off when you compare their supportive compabilities so it's even less justifiable to backpull her

weapons are mandatory since it's always a rather huge damage and utility loss and sometimes a valk's gameplay is completly bricked without it

approaching this game from a casual perspective is completely fine in the end the goal is to have fun, just be sure to mention that you're rather casual when asking for advice since our standard is to give competetive advice. The reason of that being that abyss is a significant portion of your crystal income and with higher ranks comes higher rewards.

generally weapon levels are more important since it increases the weapon's attack + passives by quite a bit.
In regards to stigmata it depends on generally you'd want to focus on T and B since those also provide attack while M often times does not, though sometimes M stigmatas also have attack as a base stat ( that hasn't been the case for a pretty long time)

i wouldn't over invest into a lot of characters at once especially with prisms since they're a rather limited resource, i'd focus on HLE -> fdd for now but if you're planning on pulling rita maybe safe some of those prisms since you'd also want to level/craft her stigmatas

np generally the idea is to focus on newer valks since they would see more usage now and in the future. I wouldnt bother with levelling some of the stigmat's from the "older" valks for now, especially if all of the valks you mentioned already have their signature stigmata set

though note that you'd never actually use a Crit rate affix even on a physical char

crit rate affixes also aren't actually crit rate but rather provide CRIT which is part of the formular to calculate crit rate, because of that the increase is so small that it's actually never really worth it

a lot of newer physical valks also have implemented crit rate buffs for at least some attacks

for RL any below they're kinda handy since you never really need to worry about your affixes that much if you just use one of those but if you're interested in higher ranks the attack that they provide isnt enough, also make sure that you don't need something else from mirage like bounty weapons for weapon resonance to buy judah or pledge of sakura. Generally i'd rather lean towards just rerolling affixes normally but tbh it's up to you really

• your abyss performance will increase therefore also your crystal income
• that account I also no where in the situation to even think of aops for now and you can start thinking of them once they actually start to become the bottleneck to stay in nirv

A decent amount of her coverage lies in her supportive capabilities as a WoD support and you won't really be able to utilize that at all. Also with that crystal count pulling her would probably risk your 8.7 funds and 8.7 is expected to have a rather good valk since it's CNY. So I'd rather not recommend her for you

Also depending on your goals in this game you could also consider restarting but that's really up to you recovering old accounts is possible it just takes time.

Neither are hugely impactful. Sena is basically dead as a dps, and her first support buff is at like SS1 or something, while Luna has maybe 1 or 2 more abysses left period. if your sena is already heavily ranked you could consider stamping her up to a threshold, otherwise I would probably wait and see

there's probably adjustments to be made on rita herself but i can't say when i have low knowledge about her
i might have tried seeing if switched qte's between the characters at first instead of strictly using rita would have caused clearing the hitcount faster but i can't try right now im not home
the last part could have not needed jds since you just need fast attack and jds kinda wasted a bit of time since you couldn't switch back to rita quickly
don't feel disappointed about this boss tho, best team alternative that doesn't use its bis valk scores like 150-200 scores lower in exalted red lotus

to stellar outbursts will low damage is also normal, usually with the right team you only need one

it really depends on what you're looking for personally when meta isn't relevant to you, and what those weapons are. You'll need to tell me more

In general for most BiS weapons they are

• roughly 30-40% of the valk's personal damage. Every astral ring valk nowadays can be a dps or a support depending on how they are placed in the team. So not having the weapon means you don't really get to appreciate their dps role when competing against others.
• some valk's weapons gives them further utility that can be important for their gameplay flow or for certain strategies

thelema in particular suffers especially badly without her weapon. She loses 60% of her personal damage as a dps and alot of utility including time stop on ultimate, higher ARI regeneration on evading enemy attacks, some debuff on enemies when using her ult (there might be more. can check the last section of the HoHE vs HoTr guide in the pins i wrote)

as much as i may say you're losing alot for thelema, don't get tunnel visioned. Even good meta scenarios to actually use thelema aren't as numerous nowadays as they used to be. It's largely fine to disregard her if you don't already have her well invested at this point and you may more consider spending your resources elsewhere. Granted anything in the bp is hardly relevant nowadays so it's more about what interests you personally.

there's no real right or wrong once you leave the considerations of meta. Just make sure you understand what your costs are and what you're getting out of them. As long as you understand and are having fun that's what matters

i'll be around for a bit longer so lmk any other non meta considerations you may have and i can try to answer with as much "fossil" knowledge as I can lol

also don't forget for casual intents and purposes, you do get to appreciate and play stuff you don't own with their tutorials in attack > events tab > tactics class

Is there general advice on leveling stigmas? I have at least one of each after pulling on the Rita's weapon banner. Do I just level the stigmas even though they don't have affixes or useless affixes? Is it better to level a stigma with a useless affix than one without?

yeah just level the stigmas, affixes aren't that huge in this game like they are in other hoyo games

you can just reroll the affixes anyway

On some level yes, Abyss is made so that the new valk has about 25-33% of the total bosses each patch so not having them on their release patch means that you are in for a rough patch outside of that bosses are also generally given to newer valks so old valks slowly lose relevance.
The main thing to remember about this game is that the main format is competitive so you unlike HSR where you need to be faster then the timer set by the devs here you need to be faster then other people in the bracket so if any setup clears faster then yours you are losing.

big patch valks (example: a valk released in anni or chinese new year) would usually be loved more by hoyo and given more shills

so they'd usually have a longer lifespan

Should I Pull AstralOps?

NOO CAPTAIN!

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.
