DS is the standard astral op which everyone gets and which gets upgraded by story progress.
Astral ops is a 'new' system similar to ELFs for P2 teams they give bonuses to the team which are primarily focused on Stellar outburst. In general more starting charge and charge recovery.
Old ELFs also work in this system as they have gotten specific buffs in astral ring teams. At 3 stars Kiana gives more damage in outburst for Fire and lightning dps while having lower starting charge. This is not a super important drawback in 1 SO rotations which is what you mostly do in Redlotus and below so she generally ends up better here.

it is fine to get when you don't need asterite for anything urgent since this takes time to farm

the dorm level loss is kind of whatever tbh but it is a big investment

basically syncs are better short term but after you bench her it's a small disadvantage

Optimally you pull nothing until next patch where you pull the new valk + her weapon and most likely don't pull anything else for the rest of the patch.
Abyss is very much made in such a way that you are expected to have the correct main dps for the right boss and without weapon you don't deal enough damage to compete and bosses generally favor newer valks so backpulling is bad in that they have few bosses and they are going to get fewer in the future.

it's situational overall but a good team with good playing in RL leaves little room for a gacha op to make a difference

also keep in mind of the competition

in nirvana those tiny difference in points can matter alot more because everyone around you has good teams and good playing. So scores will be alot closer

but also in nirvana, bosses are alot tankier so that leaves more room for gacha ops to make a difference

fights in nirvana can often be 2 outbursts while fights in red lotus can be just 1 outburst

the simplest thing to think about for this is that a gacha op effect that gives more ARI after an outburst becomes meaningless in those 1 outburst situations

but that's just one example out of other possible dynamics

asterite isn't good value. Get the box and other things in the shop

none of those weapons have important use in battle

they're important because they're all divine keys. For every unique divine key you get, you can tune it. This means to integrate it into the dorm menu (no longer trashable. You will get a warning about this but it's fine). Doing so will give you global passive stats to all your valks. This isn't much on its own (+10atk for each weapon) but can add up to be meaningful especially in high competitive tiers.

of all those weapons in the box, any of them are fine. They're all available in reserve works battle pass shop to get alternatively and eventually. (Star of eden added next patch)

but the box doesn't expire so you don't need to pick a weapon right now. +10 atk on its own usually isn't too significant. You can always open it when you recognize a fringe situation

@surreal bloom one last note of the weapon choices. Only abyss flower and FHDown need you to craft further counterpart weapons in the foundry to access their +10 atk so they're a bit costlier than the rest. Eventually you'll want to do so as you run out of other dkeys to get, but for now you may prioritize the other choices.

tldr, spend the currency in the shop. Prioritize the value stuff including the box

hold the box for now. if you have to open it, pick a weapon you don't have yet. they are for the dorm menu and not for actual battle uses.

but she might still be your best option for now. So check pins on how to build her budget team.

Eventually in the future you can contemplate getting her weapon on a rerun (controversial) or just cut your losses and focus more on new releases (valk and weapon together)

without her weapon you can still use her to support other teams until you get better stuff.

If you get her weapon then you can more consider her as a dps leader. In the future you'll get more valks that may support her well too (look for symbiosis tags)

Ideally you’d want like, Horb with P1 gear and RS, but since you probably don’t have them you can either run Senti as a physical support with Nebs alongside terminal aide to support any physical dps you have, or run her as a DPS with Terminal Aide and Reverist Calico as supports

Might be useful in memorial arena but not in abyss

Yeah you lost 2-3 points at the start by being slow at the intro, you had 822 FDD ult earlier and this time was 820. And then lost some points at the transition, you could have been starting HLE right before the invuln ends instead of waiting a few seconds after it does. And maybe you can do a bit of playing around in SO for more damage, like having the ult ready to freeze instantly when P2 starts, or doing a small ult in SO or something, and save a pt or two there? But not much, I would guess your cap for this strategy is around 830

So if you’re satisfied with 827 prolly no harm in keeping it

for future reference for the intro timing you can prob look at the top left bonus point timer

it's not something you can use for all fights though

other cues you can try being keen on for other things are audio cues from the alarm, or when the final floor blurb pops up at the top center

slight time loss at 0:40 as well. I understand prioritizing the weapon active before the boss goes invul but you could squeeze in a few more attacks at least increase the ARI counter.

FWS prob should've been the one evading in transition as pointed out earlier. She restores 2 instead of 1 ARI per ult evade.

Combination of these two things would let you skip WA'ing to reach outburst after the invul period. The WA damage is lackluster at this point too since your buffs ran out

Your score overall is prob strong for agony tier. So keep these sort of things in mind for future reference in other possible fights.

Building pity is a really bad idea. It’s better to save those juicy crystals for what you are actually planning to get.

There are many reasons to not build pity. It's not worth it in 99% of situations.
Please read them and reconsider whether you actually need to build pity:

• Some banners do not carry pity into others, Please confirm it carries over before even considering building pity.
• There are events with added rewards for rolling during their durations. Any pity built beforehand will not count towards them!
• Building pity will risk getting "lucky" with the Valkyrie/weapon early. This resets your pity. A dupe or an incomplete Valkyrie will not be greatly beneficial!
• If opting to build pity on a weapon supply, it's likely to miss out on later newer stigmas and end up overspending rolls or crafting materials to get them.

-# Depending on the situation, you can build pity during a spending event to reach a certain milestone. Please ask a St. Freya Professor before making any decisions as crystals could go toward units that are more worthwhile.

make the HoHE team in the first link here and use her for what you reasonably can in the meantime (don't spend further crystals, source prisms, or honkai shards on her team. don't bother with solon stigs either. they're only if you have the weapon)

and then save up crystals and assess if you want to push for getting hohe's weapon (valid if you like her but otherwise for meta i don't recommend) or wait until a new valk release in a few weeks

your crystals are limited. The idea is you won't gain as good mileage going after her weapon compared to burning the pity and crystals on something else more new

It's a one-valk roguelike mode where you stack very strong buffs with each other to reach the end. Playing the "Shallow Sequence" and upgrading different Valkyries in ER gives you Crystals, which is why you want to unlock those as soon as possible.

Deep Sequence is the full run and also gives you Crystals and a few other important materials periodically each week

Even if you're not familiar with it yet, there's many help resources available like the build guides and Shallow Sequence tutorials in the pins of this channel. But even outside of that we can help with the basics or even beyond that.

if you're spending crystals/blue and pink cards

• focus on character and equipment banner
• for meta f2p purposes (default recommendation because you get alot of crystals from the competitive gamemode of abyss), focus on saving until ~40k so you can reliably get valk and weapon together from new patch release. Signature weapons are kinda non-negotiable for meta

the only purpose to dorm is saving dorm only tickets and using them in spending events. 20 cards each.

• everything in it is out of date and most are farmable in war treasury. Do not focus on this banner.
• there will be an early discount to get dorm cards with crystals. this is a scam. do not get it
• spending event frequencies are irregular. Just because you get above 20 cards doesn't mean you should spend the excess freely.

currently that would be Herrscher of Rebirth (HoRb) with her latest gacha stellar divine key weapon that ran earlier this patch. That weapon is extremely important for giving her astral ring functions that makes her compatible with modern teams

The valk herself isn't currently available and is too old to expect gacha reruns, but might be available in non gacha ways in the future.

SN is heavily out of date but if you're still interested we can discuss further

although ironically her best dps team would still use HoRb support because HoRb provides physical impair. (You can use HoS instead who is farmable though for slightly worse results)

You got the Annulons by spending crystals on banners but the event is over for now. When they do another spending event the valk fragments will be back. It also better to unlock Mobius via War treasury and use the fragments for ranking her up @wide bison

The cost is generally quite high as they require a lot of specific mats but for any gacha valk which you are seriously going to use in Abyss, you should get their Pri arm, the performance gain is pretty noticable
