Most of the time it's better to just use a good team than to blindly follow what the boss is weak to especially on MA, since you've mentioned having relatively low level bosses you can probably throw anything at them and they die

There's also a different reason why hohe/jk/Kira ( I assume that was the team recommended) is recommended, it's mainly because Kira causes HP loss which you want for a special HP portion that this boss has. Valks these days deal enough DMG though to just brute force that

Guys, I'm kinda lost regarding memorial arena of lvl 81+.
I don't have many Valks, my pool is pretty small, is it better to lock a 3 strong valk party to a single boss and get the higher points I can there or split my 3 strongest valks in each of the 3 bosses?

At SSS rank bosses get new mechanics

I assume this is at the beginning of the fight if so it's an okay rotation but it would be better to do something like this
vbm WAx2 -> jump -> BA so that it hit's the boss right as it spawns -> wa -> paws qte -> wa

you could also replace the everything after and including the jump on vbm with her ult though this would not trigger stellar drain and we would only do this at the beginning of fights since the timer does not actually stop during vbm's ult,
when doing that ult opener it follows the same principle as the normal one that you would want to hit the boss with your ult at the moment it spawns/ can take damage

after activating stellar outburst on hle I switch to paws do ca into finisher (but someone said i shouldn't do it now if weaponless) then vbm ult then hle weapon >weapon >ult>enhanced ult
in general there are some few good idea here but GoI stellar outburst is supposed to work a bit different
you would want to start with hle WA x2 -> ult -> paws qte -> ult -> CA -> finisher, ik you have been told not to use paws' finisher and this idea would apply if you had 2 symbioses supports.
the general idea of GoI during so is that you spend SP with your leader -> provide your team with buffed SP regen through certain moves -> switch to your symbioses supports and generate SP with 1. ult 2. a second move depending on the valk -> switch back to the dps and do their sequence again -> finisher.
anyway after you are done with paws i would probably swap to vbm to refresh her buffs so -> switch to vbm -> jump -> wa ( you can observer her remaining buff duration above your HP bar)
then go back to hle wa x 2 -> hold ult -> wait until the animation is over where she touches the screen -> ( ba x 4 you can skip this if you don't need the damage) -> finisher

basically follow my current rotation pinned but replace everything RC does with

paws qte
ult you could theoretically skip this if you don't need stellar drain but i'd still do it to activate hle qte if it isnt

i'll summarise the SO rot a bit though

• activate SO

• HLE WA x 2

• hold ult

• wait until the animation is over

• paws qte

• ult

• CA

• finisher

• swap to vbm

• jump

• ba

• wa

• HLE qte

• wa x 2

• hold ult

• wait until the animation is over ( you can also pre spam the input so that it gets cast the moment the animation ends

• ba x 4 if you need the damage, read her main AR skill for why they deal so much damage here

• finisher

generally you can back read the purpose of everything here in

• HLE
  AR main skill mainly since i'm focusing on the SO rot but other than that it's basically her whole kit since she is the dps and utilises most of it

• paws
  stigmata
  main AR skill

• vbm
  AR skill big deal
  passive skill strong enemies ahead
  main basic attack skill
  ult skill sleep in peace
  special attack skill weakspot hammering

i probably missed something and assumed it's common knowledge so let me know if you don't understand anything
getting used to reading a valks kit is rather important since you won't always be able to get such an elaborate guide for this and i also won't always do some.
idm doing some for rather new people but when i notice you asking more often i will encourage you to try reading the kit yourself and coming up with your own rots, idm helping with that process though

the rank in itself is not that bad the problem is that

• hohe is a rather niche dps and it really depends on where you are getting this from and if would even slightly consider it
• the standard for Hohe is SS-SS1 atp if not higher so competeting with other players at s1 won't be easy and trying to reach those hohe ranks now is also not something i would recommend
  also can you even utilize her propperly ? she NEEDS her dkey and thelema to function properly, thelema + her weapon where a considerable thing to get from the spending event and BP this patch though HoHE dkey isnt really something i would recommend pulling for at this point

if you're willing to spend level rush itself is a really good deal for it's crystal value hohe would be more of a side grade, regarding hohe's dkey have you been linked to the faq backpull yet if not i can pull it up for you
other than that from my memory you were more on the side of pulling people who you like over meta right ?
if that's the case then i could elaborate a bit more on what you would do with hohe + dkey on your account then

• use her as an psy ice WoD DPS
  tbh idk how often those scenarios will happen since you already have HLE on your account and she's a pretty good ice dps, so you would probably only use HoHe as a dps if the weather is made for her ( and that is pretty rare
• symbioses support for HLE
  this is probably where you'd get the most value out of the dkey having 1 symbioses support for HLE is a huge improvement and QoL change, HoHe as a symbioses support deals a decent amount of self damage which is then also amplified if the current HLE is ice for example. in general she's a solid GoI support just a bit slow and relies on personal damage

  ||if im being honest if you get new the new rita you will probably never use this aspect of her kit since she's pretty mid at it and thelema + hle are just really good at it.||

in that case you would just loose the symbioses aspect and see some more use of her as a || wod support, tbh she's not the best wod support and wod is also not totally bricked with RoO so there will be a slight improvement not a huge one though, generally i'd say this decision depends a lot on if your plan is to pull vita and how willing you are to get thelema, note that to get both her weapon and thelema takes 3 knight BPs so you would have her by 8.7 assuming you did not get her from the spending event, i also encourage to really get familiar with the game and if you like it to see if you are willing to spend on the game. in the end it's also totally fine to play for characters you like and see meta as a side grade just now that your crystal income will depend on your performance later on || any other concerns ?

Normally it takes a lot of NCCs and locks and RNG to get 6 good affix lines but reroll devices can make it easier

plume of rage damage is a decent chunk but not something you need to constantly get. Plan to get the few of them that happens as you do damage at the very least. If there's any evades you can do without deliberately waiting too much, then add those in too

raven's fight doesn't really have randomness in her attack patterns. So you can plan alot of the fight, step by step

you spent alot of transition period just attacking with coralie but

you only need to attack the silver bullets to get 6 stacks above your hp bar. As long as you enter p2 with those 6 stacks, you get extra ARI and SP drops from the boss

attacking the bullets does restore ARI too so i guess that's still fine. But do try to evade the birds. Every [ultimate evasion] (not the same as ultimate attacks) restores 1 ARI too

i'm also not sure if you even need to care about outbursting early in phase 2

you're not ending the fight with it

so it's ok to delay it as long as you're still making 100% use of your final outburst

and it might be better too if it means you skip one cycle of rebuffing yourself

ok so in your video:

• HLE outburst first when the in game timer (igt) (top right corner) was at 0:36. PAWS and FDD support effects are refreshed from this and lasts for 25 seconds.
• At the start of transition phase, you QTE in PAWS, but the QTE didn't hit anything (3pc stigmata effect needs it to hit something). Then you cast her ultimate which does hit a silver arrow. So her buff is refreshed at 0:55 igt. Later in the fight, this buff expires at 1:20 but you were still attacking with HLE so you were losing alot of damage here
• at 1:06 you refreshed FDD's buff with her ultimate.
• you outburst at 1:28 so both buffs were refreshed here.
  • Refreshed PAWS' buff at 1:35. Later in the fight, HLE was still attacking at 2:00 when the buff expired
  • refreshed FDD's buff at 1:37. HLE was still attacking at 2:02 when this buff expired too (can see above your hp bar) so you can really see your damage drop here.

i think this is the more major problem. You're not managing your buff timers well

The main way i'm going to suggest fixing it is

• you're not doing damage in transition so you don't need to buff early there. So the main idea is to buff late so you have more buff time in phase 2. Make full use of it before outbursting to refresh your buffs, and hopefully that's enough to end the fight.

• Coralie can stay in transition. Get her stellar drain and also get her meter ready but don't ult early. Attack the bullets and the evade the birds. Use the ult near the end of transition before raven fires her last set of silver arrows.

• Swap in PAWS and make sure she ults against the last set of arrows. We want to buff late so they last longer but also we want the stellar drain from the ult.

• In phase 2, dps with HLE until coralie's buff is almost finished (you can see above your hp bar). Then outburst

• For the outburst in phase 2, after finishing all her main attacks, stay in outburst and do some basic attacks before ending it. Outburst has your highest multipliers so we want to make use of it if you need damage. In your video, you wasted a third of your final outburst duration from ending it early.

• Don't forget ending outburst refreshes your HLE weapon active. Your video just basic attacks after outburst

So to make an early HoHE team, you can support her with any combination of the following

• Jade Knight (JK, sushang. provides team ice breach, allowing you to bypass some enemy resistance)
• Sugary Starburst (SSb, Shigure Kira. A more dedicated ice support than the two below)
• Reverist Calico (RC, Pardofelis. Debuffs enemies with her plan b skill. At s rank buffs the team if the enemy is frozen)
• Valkyrie Blastmetal (VBm, Coralie. Provides total damage (all type) buff and debuffs. Most highly recommended for newer players to build

For budget widespread purposes, focus more on the bottom two.

The reason why i say this is because when rolling for new gacha valks, you want to make sure you can get their signature gacha weapons too.

For meta purposes (which gives you alot of crystals), signature weapons are very significant in this game. They can be roughly 30-40% of the valk's personal damage and sometimes have important utilities for the valk to function

i don't really care about the timing of the plume bar as long as it's not interrupting something important

certainly you can evade more to get more plume bars filled to deal more damage, but this damage is only like a third of one bar. It's not something to waste time going for. HLE isn't really a valk that can evade easily between her attacks.

and assuming it doesn't interrupt anything, make sure you count how much plumes you can fill realistically in the fight

an earlier plume doesn't matter if you're stuck at 2 plume bars throughout the fight for example

if it runs out when raven has little hp left, then that's awkward and we should replan how to do phase 1 so we don't have to rebuff or attack when unbuffed

stellar drain is something every valk gets when entering battle or exiting SO, by doing certain actions you then consume stellar drain and regenerate some additional ARI ( the resource you need for your SO). It's also commonly refered to as triggering stellar drain when you technically consume stacks called stellar drain but there's not really a difference between both so be aware since you may encounter both terms. Normally every valk can only consume their only stellar drain but when the leader is a WoD valk the stellar drain stacks are shared between the whole team and everyone can consume them

I did want to give you the general idea of approaching the game though.

• For casual purposes such as story or events you really don't need anything since barebone stuff works or the game gives you trials to use.
• So generally we default to meta advice (we can still help with non meta stuff though but you'll need to specify). Abyss eventually becomes a place where you contest against other player high scores, and doing well there gives you roughly half of your regular weekly gacha currency income.
• The way abyss works is it constantly shifts across many scenarios to emphasize many different valks and teams. So eventually you want to get a wide variety to cover as much as you can.
• As said before signature gacha weapons are very important. So whenever you pull you want to get both the valk and weapon together. Safely doing this involves roughly 40k crystals
• If you're f2p, then income won't be enough to get every new patch release on average. We focus on new releases since they are more meta relevant and generally better longevity. It's normal to need to skip something every once in a while. With that said, you shouldn't be considering reruns.

Another major thing you'll want to learn is team building with the new astral ring system but we can talk about that some other time.

Quick question, since it's the last day-ish I got Coralie dragon suit when her banner was out but missed her weapon, falling short of gems due to stuff. Would it be worth getting her weapon or just leave it and try for 8.6?

you mean getting more tickets? elysian realm certainly is an option. Beware story wise people recommend going to ER after chapter 25 of main story.

or otherwise just wait for other tasks like MA or open world tasks tomorrow.

Overall save up for now and assess the situation again later when the opportunity arrives when we have new info like new future valks and such.

if you're a spender then maybe you can consider it.

Otherwise you may consider cutting losses and just using her as a support for now.

Generally signature weapons are important for 30-40% personal damage (hence don't bother using her as a dps unless you really have nothing better for now) and sometimes other utility. Such utility can be helping the valk's gameplay but that's not the case for FDD. The main thing i recall from FDD's weapon is a passive team buff that's a bit chunky but she should still serve fine as a support.
edit: I do recommend reviewing the weapon effects on your own btw. Can check out #wiki-consult for that or the actual hi3 wiki site

be sure to avoid this sort of scenario in the future too. Roll only when you can reasonably get both together.

otherwise you can try tactics class tutorials but those parties are fixed and QTEs are always on.

also keep in mind it's fine to pause midfight to recollect yourself and prepare for your next set of actions

optimized fights in hi3 usually don't involve repeating a fixed rotation either. It's important to understand each segment of your rotation, and the valk's kit in general so you know how to finetune and adjust around it to fit the boss

Very generally speaking, you only control one valk at a time. So it makes the most sense to have two supports buffing one dps to maximize your damage.

Team building without astral ring is alot simpler but all those teams are greatly out of date (you can still use them for budget purposes). Instead of looking at ring types and tags, you're only looking at elements. For example one ice dps (e.g. herrscher of human ego elysia) and two supports that enhances ice damage (e.g. Jade Knight Sushang, and Sugary Starburst Shigure Kira).

her dps is generally overshadowed by hle and requires thel or a breach support which i'm guessing you don't have so keeping her at s0 is fine but also you're only missing out on 620 xtals by picking the stamps

it's hohe's first signature weapon. sees no meta use nowadays though and will be obsoleted if you pull her new gacha weapon (flawless benediction) that reruns in a few days

if you're ely focused, do note right now you have to deal with

• Elysia's newest battlesuit (HLE) with her signature weapon. Banner ends in less than 2 days. roughly 40k crystal cost
• HoHE's weapon rerun afterwards. 17k crystals roughly for crystal cost at worst

• (there's also MPE but that's farmable and more of a long term project)
• (Elysia elf also exist which you might be able to pick up from the current spending event, but if you get lucky on HLE banner and not spend much then that can be obtained on future spending events instead)

Depends on what you need. Locks are always useful for competitive. If you need more torus or metal for pri arms, grab those. If you’re running low on AE imaginings, Honkai shards. Ancient legacy is always slow to accumulate, grabbing it could let you unlock ER Valkyries early

There are three qmanifold tiers, sinful, agony, redlotus

Each tier is harder than the last one but gives better rewards

So you did well enough last sinful abyss and now you’re in agony. If you do badly next time, you’ll be back in sinful, if you do okay you’ll stay in agony, if you do well you’ll jump up to redlotus

Uh it’s good because higher ranks mean more crystals and more crystals is good but agony at level 32 is different from agony at level 80 is very different from level 88 abyss

they're nothing too indepth but they'll at least give you an idea of what the valk can do and what possible sequences are like to get you started

step by step wise:

get base signature weapon from gacha (supply). at worst it'll cost 60 rolls or 17k crystals

after getting the base signature, upgrade it to max

then consume it to craft the priarm upgraded version in the foundry

then max out the pri arm

the pri arm recipe needs you to get the base weapon first

signature weapons are generally very important because

• they usually provide 30-40% personal damage to the valk as a dps. This is too much to ignore for competitive purposes
• sometimes the weapons can provide additional functions that can be important for the valk's gameplay (e.g. HLE's weapon lets her regenerate a ton of sp)
