Are there any articles on pc/game tweaking on old hardware? The game goes pretty well with quality preset but crashes randomly. With all settings to minimum it almost never crashes, but looks ugly. I have Nvidia 650 GT, i3-2130 and 8 Gb DDR3. It is under current minimal requirements, but I read old ones before installing the game. first of all, you dont need to build or pull anything for story, after chapter 8 or so, the game will force you to use trial valk, after chapter 24 or so, the game stop forcing you but it still provide trial valk, so you dont need to think about what to do for story

They offer buffs around a central resource Extortion which is then also reduced by taking certain other actions. As an example First, No Betrayal gives you increased Basic ATK damage per point of extortion while reducing your extortion by 50% if you trigger Ultimate Evasion.

They can make a difference especially at a high level.

However for f2p meta purposes, it is not efficient to do so. Synergy 1 is good enough.

HoRb in general doesn't really have good prospects for higher investment. Keep in mind she's an older valk so it's normal for older players to have her more ranked by now. While she is prob decent for support roles if you have no alternatives, she isn't really best outside of maybe one weird quantum scenario.

HI3 eventually expands to many different scenarios, so there's a balance of how vertical and how horizontal you want to invest into your roster. Loosely speaking for f2p meta (exalted red lotus tier retain), we mainly stress just rolling one of the new valk and her signature weapon and that's it (s0 and syn1).

which is her ult finisher in outburst. Certainly flashy but in HI3, the entire picture is what's important, and at a competent level, you only outburst once or twice per fight

i would say the 10 > 20% resonance damage at synergy 2 is more notable since resonance during outbursts are much more major, edit: and resonance damage might be less common and diluted than crit dmg

but those 60 rolls you're spending could be going to a new weapon for a different valkyrie that can handle situations horb cannot. A signature weapon can be 20-60% of a valk's personal damage.

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

Remember only Physical Damage can crit, and "crit ratios" do not apply to Honkai Impact 3rd.

you're not going to get 35% crit damage from a single piece. (technically you can get like 12% but the scalings across both games are different that this comparison is meaningless)

Again every game has its own economy and balances, and the atk you can gain from affixes in HI3 are still important at a high level

but as you know, this is a bit of an endless sink when rolling for improbable and marginal high stats across every stigmatas you get

overall i don't recommend focusing on affixes right now when you're new. Lack of damage at this stage are more due to missing valks and gears that are too large to cover with affixes. By the time you get to an lategame level where they are more needed, you won't have as much to use and whoever you used it on early on may not be as useful.

There is an argument to be made for getting some decent stats without spending too much but i don't agree with it personally.

I will point out though to avoid getting her weapon from the beginner manual, its not a good choice (key of ego is not a good weapon to have nowadays)

if you're absolutely new with nothing else then neither options are very notable so picking HoHE is fine. You can expect some use from her early on until you save up enough to roll for new release gacha valk with her weapon (getting both together is important. Weapons are actually practically mandatory in this game for meta performance)

HoHE at a high level needs a gacha only weapon (flawless benediction) that new players won't have and aren't recommend to pull on reruns for. That weapon will give her astral ring functions that lets her work with newer teams.

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.

But being meta means playing the game regularly to not miss crystals, and saving up crystals to pull for new release valks and weapons. The cost for this is greater than what you'll get back too, so there's no point in rolling who you don't enjoy.

It's ok to be casual as said earlier. For story and events the game gives you trial valks to use if you don't have them.
