when rolling more than you need to, you'll want to first pick a banner where you'll appreciate that built pity down the line. Mainly valk and weapon banner in such case. Possibly astral op if you're aiming very very high (not applicable to most players)

Across these banners, you might want to pick one with a lower built pity than others to ensure that you don't "lose" as much if you were to get "lucky" and reset the pity count for that banner.

Lastly you would want to make sure if it's something you do get lucky on, it's a dupe or extra you don't mind getting.

• if you already have horb dkey, then for very high ended players a dupe horb dkey is a global +5 attack

returnee banner in general isn't recommended regardless of who it is. You may get roll tickets that only works for it. those are fine to spend on it. Otherwise any crystals or pink/blue supply tickets are better saved for new releases in the future.

Thelema as a valk heavily depends on her weapon for all sorts of things, moreso than any other character in the game.

However she's quite old at this point so her use cases aren't as common or as notable. If you're interested in HoHE then thelema is critical for her, but even hohe's own dps cases may not arise as often going forward.

Generally speaking yes. Meta wise the money and resources should be allocated to newer releases.

if you intend to be meta, then that sort of risky practice/luck dependence really isn't necessary. Save up or plan until you're sure you can get the valk and weapon before the banner ends. Otherwise skip and wait for next patch.

the worst thing you can do is force yourself to get the valk but not the weapon, then either get the weapon much later when it's not as useful, or give up on the valk and focus on another valk in the future

The upgraded version requires the tuned version to craft. The short answer is, it's fine to tune

the main warning for not tuning something is you can no longer trash the weapon in normal ways (salvage/convert to shard/resonance)

HoFi was recently added to the reserve work bp shop recently. Maybe you can assess from the patch history to get a rough idea (Hoyo does not stay perfectly on course with this though)

mine or any other person's 2 cents are never reliable and hoyo can change their patterns abruptly or behave unpredictably

so don't rely on any of this but rather use it to have an open mind to what may happen down the road

Should I Pull AstralOps?

NOO CAPTAIN!

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

• have 2 heavenly shift supports that can support your PS
• provide SD utilitly which might turn out to be usefull on some HLE bosses
• be a really fast support for paws/hle if you don't need to worry about damage too much
