That really depends on how high you want to set the bar for Abyss and MA. Q-Manifold already gives you an idea how some elements have an advantage in each cycle.

Once you reach Captain level 81, you gain the option to "Breakthrough", which will replace that mode with Superstring Dimension, where the weathers will be way more specific. We usually use the websites Arustats and Marisaimpact to keep track of which Abyss cycles and MA bosses appear in their respective weeks, with Marisa even writing down the exact weather for every boss. Give these a look if you want to get an idea what weathers will look like later for you.

perhaps you can look through this write up i made about the elf box

but long story short, it's as kanbaeru says. More specifically you'll want to wait until you can use the box, along with other boxes for elf fragments from future spending events to immediately get an ELF to 3* (that's the point where they can be situationally better than dreamseeker). Even at that point you'll want to wait until you confirm a scenario you care about where such a situational improvement exists.

the data from wyverein shows pb and ely elf can be similar to kiana elf in use scenarios. I think @calm turret was investigating pb elf at some point actually

while it's likely kiana elf is the main option, i can't guarantee that. Sometimes some people can have very specific focuses (e.g. we all can default to breaking through but once in a blue moon someone will actually prefer masters for legitimate reasons)

Ofc these gains are quite small that I do see that there's a strong possibility these boxes don't ever get used and a scenario never arises but because of the uncertainty of the future, the safer answer will always be to hold until you're sure if you care enough.

Interesting topic to stumble upon. Yes, the primary 3 ELFs at 4* display better results than DS (10+ points) in Nirv. I believe the reason why Kiana ELF is used more in Nirv is because there aren't any good base gacha OPs for non-loa fire dps/non-WS lightning, which outshines PB and ElyElf usage. But as a person without any gacha OPs, I use 4* ELFs more frequently over DS in Nirv. The only time I would use DS in Nirv is when the team composition is mixed elements so universal buffs from DS is better. But I haven't been to Nirv much in the past week, only just started climbing back. Right now, if I had 4* Ely, pretty sure I wouldn't be suffering so much on Hellmaru . But for RL, I believe DS could be better most of the time because of the faster ARI startup + damage overflow. My 2 cents.

PB is good for Loa teams only when the gameplay is composed of mostly physical dps/gameplay

@unreal meteor i didn't look clearly at your images earlier and missed that you already have 3* kiana elf.

My original write up should already address what to consider at that point but to attempt roughly streamline what i want you to keep in mind:

• when in doubt leave the box alone. The benefits overall are slight esp if you don't strongly understand the game yet, and a notable decision may arise later when you learn the game more.
• going from 3 to 4* kiana elf still needs 150 fragments, whereas picking a kiana elf dupe from the box will only give 105 frags. You still need frags from future spending events to close this gap if you want to consider this
  • maxing out kiana elf isn't a huge boost but in the higher competition of the game, sometimes that small boost can be the difference. I recommend you make a decision to do this or not based on if you encounter a scenario where 3* kiana elf is barely off and you really need the few points to improve an important ranking (demote > retain > promote).
• Kiana elf is prob the main priority overall and has much more use cases than the other two, but i cannot deny the marginal niche potential of elysia and pbunny either.
  • raw value long term wise, it would be best if you finish kiana 4* (and i guess elysia elf upgrades if you are interested) purely with spending event fragment boxes. Using the box to get an elf you don't own yet (pbunny) will maximize fragments you get from it. But it can be valid to be inefficient for a short term goal you care about.
• if you're not highly competitive, it's very fine to just pick who you like.

dorm tickets are not relevant to this.

spending event gives you rewards from spending crystals and tickets
up to 20 dorm tickets can count towards giving you spending event currency

ring types are mainly for the leader to determine the playstyle of the team

but tags are mainly for supports to determine if they can match with a leader's ring type or not

a valk can only have one ring type, but can have multiple tags

so a valk may not have the ring type, but they can still have the tag to help the leader of the team

and again teambuilding with astral ring still involves matching up specific things. Having three astral ring (part 2) valks doesn't mean they'll fit together.

let's take a look at Senadina as an example.

• she is world star ring type. so supports you use with her should have domain resonance
  • vita is not world star but she has the domain resonance tag so she can work in a senadina leader team
  • sushang does not have the domain resonance tag and will not fit in this team
• senadina has tags of her own too.
  • she has domain resonance so she can support other world star leaders like sparkles or theresa
  • she also has harmonized shadow star. This matches with wheel of destiny ring type. So sena can support thelema as a leader.
  • sena will not be able to support leaders like durandal (law of ascension ring. This ring type wants heavenly shift as a tag which sena does not have)

don't focus too much on the meaning of the names for the ring types/tags. Focus more on how they match up
