Essentially you're free to do both APHO and Samsara whenever they unlock, and for P2 I would not go beyond Chapter 3 until you're done with both P1 and P1.5 stories

I'm only lvl 50, and my valks are 4/4 sena, 4/4 lantern, badum kiana 3/4 missing her weapon, and coralie also 3/4 missing her weapon.

Any advice? because I feel I have a mishmash of valkyries, and maybe I could start again with a better "pull strategy"

When I click the go button, I get taken to the material events page, but both the weekday materials and the equipment materials have like crime scene tape labeled "close" on them, when I go to click the Equipment Materials, which is where the tutorial pointed me to go to, the equipment training is "Close", and Battlesuit training is labeled as "preparing", when I click the plus on this one with "open now", it says I need Planeroids, which I don't have and according to what I saw when I clicked "get", their only way to get them is to do Material Events. Which seems like a bit of a paradox... if I don't have them, and I need them to do them, and I can only get the Planeroids by doing the Material Events... how do I do Material Events

So do these only open at a certain time? Cause it's Thursday today rn, at least in my timezone :/

right now you can pull the current s rank paws and her weapon

in hi3, at least now with the p2 system, units function as both dps and supports
so while paws will be your best unit for clearing content, she wont be as good in the future when content is less in her favor (what we call shill)
so at that time, when you pull next patch, you will use her as a support for the newer unit and have a stronger team and so on

Be aware that in this game there are no 50/50 but you instead need a valks signature weapon( which is still less pulls the another S rank )

Without signature weapons valks loose a min of 30% DMG and some utility while some valks gameplay is really bricked without them

keep in mind that with other hoyo games you are able to farm gear and stats without the need to pull, there's no such thing in hi3 as alternative weapons because valk weapons lock portions of a valk's kit behind it and have too good of stats and bonuses that can lead to around 30% dmg loss as mango mentioned (in the case of some valks its actually way higher)

there's a really small pixel difference that you wont notice unless you are actively looking for it, but when you do get an a rank or s rank it shows the valkyrie icon on the pull

They're generally following patch release date but it can often vary within a few patches for example as you already said 7.3 sena release and then 7.0 LV but they arent there far apart so that's why

you can if you have excess armada currency.

Everything you can get from dorm banner is actually obsoleted and not useful (most farmable from war treasury shop)

but dorm tickets do have some benefits in spending event (next patch). Up to 20 can be used per spending events for slightly more rewards.

but otherwise since honkai shards is your concern, i wouldn't mind putting it off so you can prioritize the shards more

eventually you will reach a point where you get more than you need but as for now you need them for upgrading valks you will greatly use

reserve them mainly for the latest valks of each patch you will look to roll when you can afford to from now and on

for other weapons like craftable foundry weapons or free legacy premium weapons that starter manual will give you (e.g. nebulous), you can leave that at 35 without upgrading

coralie's (blastmetal) free hammer from jumping into early part 2 story (recommended to get when you can) is also of lesser priority

while she will be useful for the time being when you're lacking premium units, she will eventually be the one you drop as you get more.

So i would only upgrade it if you understand the game enough and have a specific scenario you really need it for.

you only have a limited amount of crystals unless you're a whale

so it's a matter of allocating them efficiently

PS may be recent and therefore not too bad if you really want to pick her up but, part of her use cases has already gone by and she probably would have lower longevity too. She does have her niches but every valk in the game will.

that's kinda it. The problem is really just that GoI as a playstyle has no farmable teammates.

So team building in part 2 is just matching the leader's ring type to the tags/attributes of the supports.

Every ring type has a specific tag it wants. Valks with the matching tag will grant benefits crucial to the core gameplay of the ring's playstyle

GoI relies on sp. Symbiosis valks will restore a ton of sp.

SO = stellar outburst = the go mode state you induce when pressing the big blue button once it's filled up. only available for astral ring teams

astral ring refers to mechanics exclusive to newer valks (astral op, stellar outburst). Older valks don't have these mechanics. Activating these mechanics merely requires an astral ring valk to be leader in the team.

Otherwise using an older part 1 valk as leader will cause astral ring to be disabled. Some effects (e.g. some ignite stuff on sparkle) or systems (ELFs) only occur in this state.

ultimate just merely refers to pressing the ultimate button. So in the case of PAWS, it is not the cinematic camera angle punch finisher animation you see. (That is her CA or hold attack. CA because it's usually charged/combo)

in the case of PAWS, ult refers to just the three stage attack that fills her meter

and also the finale during outburst after the CA as you mentioned.

there's mistakes in it or things you may not have so please don't copy it completely

• my VBS (boltstorm helia) has her signature stigmatas which are craftable but not recommended due to her not being in the meta anymore. Main change is you don't need to weapon active to 30 stacks if you don't have it.
• coralie did not need to swap back in to refresh support when you're about to outburst. Outburst refreshes her effects. So me doing it was wasting time.
• i reached the finisher ult in that video but i realized i was getting extra sp from the boss. I think normally this is not possible.
