Comparing apples to oranges, they cover different niches

depends on the boss, but generally speaking if a physical weather comes by 9 times out of 10 reign solaris will be the best unit for it just due to being the newer unit (with sushang and jds performing similarly albeit slightly weaker)

And you shouldn't go out of your way to get a Phys unit

ofc not all physical weathers are the same, if its against sd enemies jds will be best (when not stolen by fws )

valks need their weapon to be reliable nowadays as majority of their dps and important parts of their kit are locked behind it

valk banner and weapon banner are seperate, so when you roll the valk, you'll need to roll on her equipment banner for the weapon
equipment banner has a 60 pity garuntee for the weapon (16.8k crystals) so by keeping that amount ready at all times, if you do get the valk you will be able to secure her weapon as well

it's all about the crystals at the end of the day and an older account will just take more time in the relative short term (all accounts will eventually exhaust their permanent crystals)

anyway give it some thought and decide which way you want to go and we can give you further suggestions

so the way i see it is

• if you really want to keep the niche in mind, you can pick up an aladdin piece for now and hope it becomes more available in some other way later on. Overtime T is available from an event next patch if you don't already have it. but overall it's realistic that you may never benefit from this with how niche it is.
  • doing so will set you back by 2 pink orbs. In the long run this may not matter since they're permanent and the main things to pick up are divine keys you're still lacking, which are 10 atk each and generally are marginal and unimportant to rush for on their own.
• If you ever purchase bp then this can go either way. Maybe the higher orbs from bp puts you at an excess, but buying bp also enables you to use your orbs for more relevant (but still old and nearing obsoletion) stuff including gacha astral ring valks (note senadina was this patch but next patch will be lunar vow)
• if you leave the 8 orbs to torus, then you'll save your 2 pink orbs which may let you get something more timely in the short term future. Pink orbs are also permanent and maybe someday they may add something more costly/urgent to value the orbs on.
