You'd be able to compete in an abyss tier 1 lower than the one we push for with just sushang as long as your team setup and gameplay is good which again should be easy with out help

Your current setup even assuming optimal teammates (probably not the case) will be a bit over half as good as a proper HoHE team nowadays with astral ring mechanics from her divine key.

Review the description for solon stigs too. Alot of it should be astral ring (including stellar outburst) focused.

note that this video is from a beta so it may not match up fully to how things are now, but it's the more recent beta so it should be close

Meta wise i don't recommend it overall over other things you can be getting with your crystals.

i think i told you this before but meta and casual aren't just one or the other. You can decide your own balance of it.

if you really want to make hohe more usable we can talk more about how to make solid use of her for now even if it's not the most optimal choice

but at this day and age, where astral ring is so heavily emphasized, she's going to really want her dkey for modern teams

new sushang is law of ascension ring type. When she's the leader you want to find valkyries with tags that match that ring type. For LoA, the matching tag is [heavenly shift]

you can filter out valks with that tag (attribute) in the valk menu (bottom left)

anyway there's many shift tag valks nowadays. For most lower competitions the difference between them are usually not too big and you can get by as long as you're using them.

In some cases, one may get highly emphasized over the other because of gimmicks in the fight (e.g. hohe with her bow aim shot against tank's weakpoint)

in other words the actual optimal teammates can vary across scenarios

if your account is unbalanced (e.g. one valk has higher ranks for some reason) then that may influence your decision too

her ranks are notable if she's the main dps or if she's doing notable damage as a support (like against flux tank)

ASTRAL RING (aka PART 2) TEAM BUILDING

The one-sentence main idea:

• Match the ring type of the leader with tags of the supports.

For finding out what ring type and tags a valk has, look for these icons in the valkyrie menu: https://i.imgur.com/pXlKUtR.png

• The big blue icon is the ring type
• All smaller icons on the right are tags
  You're not expected to know/memorize these icons. Just click them in-game to see what they are.

You can also use the filters (funnel) button at the bottom left to help find specific ring types and tags.

Step by step, text only:

• Observe what you're fighting against (boss typing, weather effect, etc)
• Pick a Part 2 (Astral Ring) valk depending on what kind of damage you need to best counter/handle the situation (e.g. fire, ranged, etc). Set her as leader. She will be the dps.
• Look at the leader's ring type (specialization) (e.g. World Star). This will decide the playstyle of the team, and what kind of supports to add.
• Look at the attributes (tags) of other valks. Every ring type has a specific tag that it matches with. Pick the tag that matches the ring type of the leader (e.g. pick [Domain Resonance] tag valks if the leader valk is [World Star] ring)
  • Every Astral Ring valk has ONE ring type, but can have MULTIPLE tags. This means each of them can act as a dps in one way, but can support multiple and different kinds of teams.
• If there's not enough valks with the matching attribute, fill in remaining slots with [Rite of Oblivion] ring type valks (e.g. Coralie/Valkyrie Blastmetal).
  • This enables leader effects but will NOT be able to provide core mechanics to the ring type.
• There can be additional details, or even exceptions, to consider as well (e.g. elemental breach, inflicting status, cooldown reduction, etc)

assuming you haven't done any rolls on it yet, then the answer is to forget about starter banner

valks on those banners are older and more niche/less relevant. The problem with those banners is you're still spending crystals

and for meta crystal spending you should always focus on more relevant later releases

preferably latest releases early in the patch

also note that generally part 2 valks have

• one ring type that mainly determines how they dps as a leader
• but multiple tags to support numerous other kinds of teams/leaders

so because they have multiple tags, you can expect to put together numerous teams from a few valks eventually as long as you collect enough of them (with their weapon preferably)

also at this point i don't recommend focusing on heavenly shift as a tag. Focus more on ??? tags (locked skills) which are for an upcoming new ring type instead

dudu wasn't really recommended tbh so i wouldn't stress over it

the problem with dudu is that she can also support older p1 teams. So part of her abyss emphasis will be featuring that

and newer players will not have these older part 1 teams well built

you can see most of the left column favors her. Stardust typing and flux (which is basically for LoA ring type).

The third and fourth bosses in the column also has mobs alongside them which emphasizes badum's ability to link enemies for more damage.

Fourth boss also is immune to ice and has an elemental shield to discourage physical. So fire and lightning are encouraged. Badum is fire

-# i guess worth noting dudu as a support gives her team more shield break and she can support badum but i can also tell you this wasn't required to retain RL (i retained nirvana without dudu but with s2 vita)

i'm not going to say too much about all of these. The pattern is similar. The issue is the fourth boss in the left column.

Dominance environment favors valks that uses summon entities to deal damage. This only really suits misteln dps (DW) who operates with a part 1 team (no astral ring).

New players are not going to have that.

As time goes on, there will be more other situations to emphasize these valks too. Just not as concentrated as the first early weeks here.

But overall why pick up dudu if you're going to miss out on a portion of her situations?

a big aim of how we tell players to spend their crystals is to get full mileage/worth/uses from what they get.

So it's hard to suggest picking up a valk if your account can't make full use of her (missing part 1 stuff)

it's also hard to suggest picking up a valkyrie if she's already not the newest (you missed a portion of her abyss coverage already. Most valks loosely stay in the meta for 2 years, and become more and more niche as time goes on)

well hopefully you understand better now what to expect from your pulls. I still don't feel i have a strong idea of what your own situation is like but

sushang - if you have to pull right now then she's prob best currently for long term. While she will be awkward to use early on since there's no farmable heavenly shift, she does have the ??? tag for the next new ring type. Bleed is also a good niche to cover. But you may want to hold off if you can in favor the next patch's release.

HoHE - cheaper if you already have hohe and just need her weapon but overall not recommended because it's already past her release and her actual uses are not notable/dependent on thelema who is also very old. The weapon is a divine key at least for a global minor atk buff (it adds up to matter late game but new players should still focus on meaningful coverage instead of this)

Starter banner - valks are too old and niche there. Stay away.

Upcoming new valk - potent. maybe wait for more news if you're not already pulling sushang at the start of the patch

SI kinda makes sense for the separate 40% weather bonus when enemies are bleeding but overall it prob doesn't work out well because

• coralie gives 24% total damage buff and 15% total damage taken debuff from her kit (sss. not sure for lower ranks)
• coralie stigs gives 15% tdm, 16% elem buff. There's other buffs too or some of these are enhanced greater in outburst
• coralie also contributes with stellar drain, letting you outburst more/sooner
• coralie is rite of oblivion so she qualifies for FWS third part of her leader skill https://i.imgur.com/i5URspL.png

ult is usually a time waste unless you do it at the start of the fight before enemies spawn in when you're waiting for the alarm

there are some effects from the ult but you kind of ignore them or rely on outburst to trigger them instead

Keep in mind her effects last for 25 seconds too. You don't need to swap back to her every cycle.

The debuff (serious breakdown) is mainly done by doing the midair weapon finisher. In practice it usually can happen with swap > jump > basic attack > weapon

but you can maybe consider swapping her back in early if new enemies are showing up too

as for sparkle, keep in mind that her cinematic [i am elation] move has a cooldown to when it's available from QTE

as for her ult, try to use it after FWS uses her's so you benefit from the ult cooldown reduction. Can be used as a free swap too (don't overlap it with i am elation)

Dreamseeker is fine to use as f2p as far as even ex RL retain. It is indeed not recommended to spend crystals pulling for ops generally speaking as f2p.

as for which skills to upgrade the main one are the ones that enhances team benefits or enemy debuffs
