Dorm level is tied to number of owned Valkyries so just playing the game your damage will slowly get better. Playing the game to practice rotations and mechanics, getting more dkey as you grind mats to craft or upgrade them

Obtain divine keys (there's a faq for it)
upgrading your gene limits, by upgrading the dkeys associated with those gene limits (8% while small is a really big boost compared to 6%)
Increase your dorm levels (obtaining valks, and ranking them up, main method is obtaining valks from war treasury, there's a pin on it)
Use the valk with a proper synergistic team (supports that give the right buffs or are capable of buffing the dps)
Apply the basics towards your supports (upgrading your supports gear and levels can increase your dps' damage)
Getting "better quality" affixes
Learn the proper rots for your teams (refer to valk tutorials to understand the basics of their kit, otherwise check on actual refs other players made to get a more advanced understanding of a team in specific scenarios)

If the backpull character you are targeting is good support for your current Valkyrie, and you have tons of excess xtals, then you can consider getting older valk. If the action if backpulling halts your crystal economy for next patch then yeah don't backpull

On cope my experience is that Helia feels very bad and you should just do VBM or another part 2 valk. Got 5-6 minues 2.25 clears because she runs out of her buffed state before the room is cleared so you deal basically no damage until it has recharged.

well the BP changed this version. now the balls dont change at all-- previously they changed every season to accommodate the new shop. now, theyre not limited and are shared across all BPs. they also added a reserve works where you can use your balls to buy various gear items. as for your conversion question, im assuming youre referring to BP works vintage. this is the last BP works vintage we will have as far as i know, and yes, you can convert the new permanent balls to sprout balls.

• The leader is the DPS and determines what the Astral ring Specialization of the team is.
• Now your supports want the corresponding Support tag
• RoO is a special AR type which can support all AR types but wont perform as good as Valks with the actual support tag.
