Coralie looks good, Fu Hua Musician T can be replaced by Theresa: Gluttony T, Pardofelis has DPS stigs. Should be fine for now (not a fan of crafting 3pc Roald Amunsden), but maybe put Turgenev TB on her later. It's usually a really great elemental team buff, even for later. For not though, replace Scott T with Ogier T

FWS is a law of ascension ring type. For this leader ring type, the supports should have heavenly shift tag for actual synergy. None of your valks have that.

Without the matching tag to the ring type, you can resort to rite of oblivion ring type to at least get partial benefits from the leader skill. Coralie has this which is why she's on the team.

Helia is a world star ring type with domain resonance tag. None of those fits with FWS. Most of her supporting effects are lightning too which isn't relevant when FWS is fire. (Helia does have a general elemental buff from her weapon skill but you're spending so much time getting it and you can prob get better effects from non astral ring valks like

• RC - total damage taken debuff
• CN - fire damage taken debuff

it takes time. The main thing I recommend is to understand the basics of part 2 team building

the super short version of it is

• the leader of the team is your dps
  • fws in this case
• look at the [ring type] of your leader
  • fws is law of ascension (LoA)
• every ring type has a tag that matches with it
  • LoA matches with heavenly shift (this is a tag/attribute. not a ring type)
• you want to use supports with that matching tag
  • you don't have any
• if you don't have any, use rite of oblivion ring type instead (this ring type is special and acts like a wild card. It will only give partial benefits though)
  • coralie has this

it's prob difficult to comprehend but it's good that you're taking initiative to read and understand skill descriptions. Lots of effects can happen non visually in this game and it's just a matter of knowing that they are there

anyway in the case of plan b it'll say something like using the hold purple meter attack or using her ultimate will apply a total damage taken debuff on enemies for 15 seconds

the damage formula of hi3 is pretty convoluted but the basic idea is that different categories will multiply (fire dmg x total dmg ||| total dmg buff x total dmg debuff) while the same category will add together (fire dmg + fire dmg)

and debuffs are generally less common to find

yeah it takes a while to understand the wording in this game

and it's an old game so some of it may not be consistent over the years

but RC is still viable and possibly faster/simple to rotate with

dorm (perm) banner is also a bit different in this game. It still has the idea that you should never spend crystals on them, and only use dorm cards that you are directly given.

However the cards shouldn't be spent immediately. You can do it if you need to progress beginner missions in starter manual. But otherwise they should always be saved for spending events in this game. For each spending event you can use up to 20 dorm cards for additional minor mileage/rewards.

but anyway this isn't too important. I can go on and on

last difference i would bring up is the main endgame mode is abyss naturally. However abyss in this game is different. In other games you're trying to just clear in a defined amount of time or turns (3 min in gi/10 cycles in hsr moc/etc).

That still exists in early abyss of this game (quantum manifold).
However, once you reach a high enough level (81+, takes only a month or so to reach), you can access a different abyss mode where you compete against other players for high scores. Abyss is a main source of crystals which is why the meta is more emphasized

As a new player there's so much content to go through it's overwhelming so I'm debating myself whether I should grind unlocked content and events to accumulate material or just play the story arc for the time being?

this depends on the valk and what weapon you are using to compensate, for badumm its not only that she looses DPS but also her 1,5 sec time stop after stellar shift which will impact your abyss score, in some cases like JDS her dps can also feel very akwards gameplay wise. In general dont pull if you cant guarantee the weapon, if you really like a char but you cant guarantee both you can pull while keeping enough crystals to guarantee the weapon in the tank

I got lotsa physical, fire, lightning, ice; kinda ignite but CN isn't 4/4 so it's lagging by a lot, but bleed is where I struggle the most. So maybe if it's another bleed or an ignite valk I'll skip Sushang.||

who should i use with songque jovial deception?

to be honest none of those will work as intended with her, since she is a part 2 character using the astral ring system and none of the others are, at best you could use these two since at least they are physical, the same damage type but they arent supports for Songque so they're mainly there for team filling. but since shes on the astral ring system and one of the others are they wont really synergize with her as intended

If you just care about owning bronyas though and don't want any other rewards I suppose its fine but you could have so much more free stuff like a free JK with her weapon to support your sw

so you can trigger the joint atk frequently to clean up multiple mob sections across the map

so the evasion core for instance allows you at max level (i dont know if this is different at base level) to jump 5 times in mid air, i did not have that core active and was only able to jump twice in mid air

so what it does is enable you to get moon ring energy from multiple sources yeah
