both have abyss weathers that play around those damage types and you're very screwed without owning a valk that does it

• For your valk setup, Mei should have her QTE disabled for additional time savings. However this will result in you needing to farm an extra Ult outside SO and it's totally fine if you feel like it's too much hassle to learn now than it will you do good. If not doing that, keep that tip in mind if you need that life-saving point boost from keeping it off (just don't start realizing that <1 hour before abyss ends xd)

• 0:12 - On opener, you want to do Vita's WA MUCH earlier so you can save time with her animations. When doing it right, you will hit just enough to have CA ready.

• 0:36 - For Mei, try to use WA whenever it's available, aiming to do 2 ults at once into CA. This gives you WA back earlier being able to do the 2nd part of the rotation earlier

• 1:00 - When Huodou falls here, him getting up is actually slowed down by many of your valk's attacks. This happens a lot with some older bosses who were made when valks didn't have these time-slowing abilities and therefore you should avoid doing unnecessarily long attacks like Vita's first WA sequence (which was pointless here anyway since you don't need to recover additional Astral Ring Intensity at that point). Unfortunately, this also applies to the last part in her Mech WA>BA combo, as well as the CA itself. Avoid the non-mech part entirely, cancel the last attack of the mech WA>BA attack sequence with a well-timed evasion (where you can normally see the Mech blasting down a big laser), continue doing BAs on Vita until you have 125 SP for ult. Ult is the only skill required to apply/refresh her damage buffs

• 1:20 - Lunar Vow also lets the points tick down while Huodou keeps doing nothing. Kinda my fault to be honest since I said to refresh buffs here. Wait until Huodou recovered his HP and actually can lose it. After that, I'd say you have two options here: Either don't skip Vita's mech smash CA and damage him with that as soon as he can be hit properly or only do the same with Luna Ult. The things you need to do on Mei afterwards gets slightly shorter as a result.

• 1:25 - Mei QTE further applied Time Fracture here, slowing Huodou even more. I think 3 bullet points of this should tell you more than clearly that this whole section is the biggest time loss in your run. On Mei, this Time Fracture happens on QTE, Evasions, but also on any 3rd BA and both Ult sequences (which auto-trigger Eva). Best to do nothing on Mei atp if he still recovers with her out.

• 1:29 - Exactly the point where Huodou's HP recovers, allowing you to damage him as soon as possible. Do the thing similar to 0:12 opener but with Mei's WA instead, allowing you do to your Ults earlier

• 1:39 - Not really your fault, yet another part where Huodou just phases out of existance to teleport to the edge of the Arena right after. Without modern valkyries this usually happens instantly (you can observe this more closely in his SIM battle version if you're interested to study it later on after this Abyss ends). Either way, the wait time is avoidable by holding your Ult until after he's visible again.

• 1:43 - Just don't bother with evading him here, it eats time for no real gain. wack him with a WA to finish your rotation before Vita's ult buff runs out. Proceed to do SO right after since the buff timer would run out anyway.

• 2:50 - Would immediately switch to Vita here, and refresh support buffs. Your Mei hits like a wet noodle for a good while without neither of your support's active buffs. The important part here for Vita is that you might want to do both WA sequences here for additional ARI restoration.

• 4:24 - Finish with BAs instead, WA has a longer wind-up while you just need 1-2 BA hits that could happen earlier.

I'm going to speak more broadly (not just for this abyss) and my answer is a bit different from Ram's

whether you want thele qte on or not entirely depends on the specific scenario and how it scales to your account, and this can vary for both thele as support or dps

thele's QTE is a forced animation that takes time but attempts to compensate with time fracture and restoring two banquet stacks. This can be but is not always useful. Also beware of the increased cooldown it causes for the one being swapped out.

In many cases of thele dps and support without QTE, thele can simply swap in and ult immediately. Your ult has a debuff so it's nice to be able to apply it immediately. You get 3s of time stop to fill your meter manually with 3 attacks and reach your MoI (the MoI itself will prob cost some time in abyss), or if you're s2 you can just MoI immediately (beware MoI will end the time stop early, so maybe do another attack beforehand). MoI is where your stellar drain is. This instant ult > MoI makes thele relatively instantaneous and fast.

As a dps beware Thele's banquet stacks provide bonus damage to her MoI if they are gained from non repeating attack sources (basics, combo, weapon) or evading. However I do not recall QTE banquets having any description about this so I'm inclined to think they provide no bonus damage. (i could be wrong here)

If you have a scenario where you want the extra time fracture (memorial arena) and/or cannot ult immediately but need to MoI asap, then i would consider QTE more. But there are exceptional cases where QTE does fit into the overall fight better despite not following anything I said above. It depends on how your account is proportional to the specific fight.

tldr i personally would default to keeping thele QTE off until you find a scenario where turning it on might seem better

i think more eventually than not you'll get enough p2 valks to throw at SS MA

but if you want to work towards something, you can. I personally found TA dps to be most easily useful but this is prob biased. For higher ended SS clears, maybe look more at stuff like HoO dps (SS Sampo. SS Lantern?? SSS Flower husk).

PE i don't really recognize to be a common option. IO was notable on debut for short but not always 0s clears. For actual 0s clears I'm not really sure on her coverage range there (I've mainly used her on AKA but that's an annoying fight for her).

A few other teams off the top of my head are FT/BB/CH or some variant but this is very high cost (double sleeper ex pri arm), Kira dps with HFS and RC but this is a more biased choice (i use it against hellmaru and hov)

I told you to do that because at that point you were only missing 5 sp. Yeah you realized correctly that you will be missing more SP then, kinda miscalculated the SP after skipping non-mech WA>BA. Doing the mech version of WA>BA is ideal to get enough for to the ult. Just skip CA, that eats way more time tbh than doing basics.
As for the second point, this is why you Outburst. It should leave you healthy and the boss is slowed down then to not always hit you. You can try to stay inside the fire circle, which damages you constantly by timing your ults for a moment where Huodou is in the middle for a moment.

How viable are older valks in Elysian Realm? Im slowly getting all the valks to level 15 for the rewards. And I just wanna know if itll be harder once I start on older valks as I unlock them each week

however how comfy theyll feel will depend on what equipmentyou have for them to use
for the sake of just leveling up you can lower the difficulty and do lite then boss then leave when u finish stage

you can't neglect the dmg bonus provided when huodou is frozen,

So you shouldn't skip it getting frozen.

If you like a character you can pull for them! Horb dkey is mostly not reccomended from a meta PoV because there are newer targets that will get you more bang for your crystals but even from meta pov it's not a terrible backpull; Dkeys are cheap and 10 attack is 10 attack

(meta wise our reccomendation is sw dkey over horb ofc)

for your account despite not being optimal horb dkey will give some solid utility

she's one of the best WS supports, so she'll buff your WS characters like Sena and sparkle ||and seele next patch if you pull||; likewise as a ws chara you can use your sena or sparkle or such to support her

normally pausing is fine but the beginning sequence if u slow u really likely to get stuck in low air

and then u wont be able to get the ca from air after 3a in air

that is also dependent on where u r relative to huodou's model but the thing is u need to be fast/buffer the input

rather than needing really high dexterity or something, u just need to pay more attention to how ur messing it up ig

main thing is that ur notreally applying freeze quick enough and wasting dmg on it not being frozen.
in p1 977 u do wa hold but it clearly didnt freeze. alternative of what you did is to swap one of the wa with 3a. and it would've worked probably, or swap both wa with 3a
then similar thing in 870 after moi, still have rondo, but u did phantom when boss not frozen. can just consider 3a wa hold wa repeat and would more likely line up freeze timing.
but the other thing is that can probably ring a bit later or something, so you can get 2 ults off in ring, but also ring immediately the moment its up

If you own the signature you can use any weapon of the same type to pri arm. This is not the case for more recent weapons where you must use the correct precursor.

|| even though we know that SW will be a really good support for seele, in RL and below you can substitute supports for other decent options, seeing their weapon coverage i doupt they're above that level. Of course SW also has the benefit of giving +10 atk to the account but i dont think that they can really sacrifice seele for that with their account state, what's done is done but please keep in mind things like crystal count + one time crystal sources, how competetive they are etc.||

imo presets are a bit redundant with p2 just because you change teams constantly based on the boss, before fighting a boss ask yourself, what do you need ? which valks provide that ? and if you're missing something who's the next best option. You can always ask here and ask us to further explain our thoughts and why we recommend certain teammates to get a better understanding of the game overall
