it kinda looks like there's room to do so. They entered SO in the middle of their surplus resonance attacks in p1 so if you were lacking in damage, you can just expend the rest of it (EDIT: Actually i guess DS would not reach surplus 1 as soon). The important thing about the SO is the last resonance attack hits the black hp phase

the main "endgame" or rather highly meta stressed gamemodes are Abyss (Q-manifold or Superstring Dimension) and Memorial Arena

you can review that. The main reward from ranking higher in MA is just ancient willpower which is only used for out of date valks at this point and therefore isn't important.

The main thing we tell players for MA is to just clear the fights (even with a slow time) for "challenge rewards" which includes crystals and a source prism each week

bear in mind SW already had a few abyss situations that occurred, so getting her weapon later now means you already missed these use cases and won't mileage off of it as much

you may consider saving up and skipping SW so you don't miss out on the newer release. Check #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins too. The next valk seems a bit more notable than others but we can't discuss greatly in details here. For any light mention you can spoiler tag it though.

but meta is only one portion of the game. The reason why it's even stressed is because abyss gives a lot of crystals (500 per cycle at RL, or in other words 1000 per week)

it doesn't have to be everything. It's ok to give up a bit of meta to pursue what you more like.

Data suggests that it does exist (starting at 76 pulls), but it is not confirmed anywhere by HoYoverse so we can't be 100% sure.

in general when rolling after a gacha banner target, i would advise planning for worst case scenarios (full pity). Rates aren't too in your favor in this game and soft pity seems to start late (80-90)

meta wise a weapon is very important for a valk so try to plan to get both together. The worst you can do to your account is to get a valk or the weapon but not the other. At that point i would rather you skip so you can get the whole of something else later

valks are generally good in the meta for 2 or so years (some exceptions being dropped off sooner or later)

but ofc by that point something more new will exist and will be more recommended (for arguable longevity and relevance at the time)

yeah be mindful of your limited budget and prioritize accordingly

if you like that mei enough, it's fine to go after her if you can afford her. You won't get as much use out of her compared to getting her on release but she's still useful enough to appreciate for a long while.

But ideally if you don't care about mei, metawise i would say you can forget about her and prioritize the next new releasee next patch

but for f2p or even light spending, they may not be able to afford everything. However with average luck you can still get most releases or enough to reach agony 3 or red lotus in exalted

yeah you'll have to find your own balance overall. Abyss has many tiers for that purpose.

but that 40k cost won't ever profit from your improvements in abyss. That's 80 abyss cycles at red lotus tier. No valk is valued that much. So it won't make sense to get a meta valk you don't like or don't like to play

generally the way to catch up to the meta is to not actually catch up. Just focus on the newest contents and let the older meta fall off

but let me say again it's ok to not be meta. There's room to appreciate the game without focusing on the meta entirely.

it just depends on what u wanna do, but dk is not going to give the long term coverage in terms of a valk if ur just +1,
the dk valk can be treated more of a short term thing in which case, you can just compare with aop, aop can let you gain trophies which 10 atk otherwise may or may not do (when we focus on the context that dkey main thing is the +10atk, and that it might not be a weather that your +1 valk does much compared to other supp), so it means you can afford to tank some losses.
also it depends on wat valk ur missing in the first place
and obvs it depends on the dk of the valk, but horb is pretty niche, ws only and then outside of that is just tf bot in ma
but like if we not gonna focus on nirb, then u can kinda just do whatever and still cope with not having horb dkey or aops because its rl

Meta wise i would say to forget about horb if you don't already have her established at this point. In that light it may be a blessing you failed to get the weapon sooner, and the pity carries over.

yeah you'll have to balance out the two sides to your own judgment. These questions are mainly to facilitate that.

at the very least try not to let it compromise your ability to pull the next patch valk.

Loosely speaking HoRb with syn1 weapon to me is a pretty weak but fast option similar to FWS. Historically dkey valks are known to kinda fall off faster than actual new valk releases since they are cheaper.

If you have interests in tiering very high in the game then you'll appreciate the +10 atk.
